Why should celebs get all the attention? Ashley Olsen dyes her hair and half the people over at ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) ohnotheydidnt have something to say. Why can't we, the non-celebrities, have posts about our new hair color, who we're dating, what stores we shop at, who our friends are, how much we party, who we like and don't like? Well, now we can.

On December 30th, 2006 a new post titled "ashley olsen went blonde again" was made in ohnotheydidnt. ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) xyresic responded saying, "I wish I had a post on ontd every time I dyed my hair. :'(". I responded saying, "Haha. I haven't ever dyed my hair". xyresic responded, "You should get a post just for that". Then I said, "Haha, I should. There should be a community called ohyestheydid for us average people to gossip about each other. lol. Loves it." as a joke, of course. I wasn't being serious, but apparently people thought it's a good idea so xohyestheydid formed (with the 'x' infront because ohyestheydid was taken by a dead journal-- too bad).

Read all the rules before joining.
Joining:
- Memberships are moderated. Dead/inactive journals will not be approved.
- You must join the community and wait until your membership is approved in order to be a member. If you only add the community to your friends list, you will not be able to post or read the members only entries.
Reading:
- State your opinion, you may do so. If you don't like something, don't pretend to like it. However, don't bring people down. Don't be rude and don't be a jerk. There are positive ways to state your negative opinions and if you don't know how to do so, don't comment.
- Stay on topic. Don't spam the comments.
- Don't take it to other people's journals.
- Racism and other forms of discrimination are banworthy. Don't make racist comments and insult people, that's uncool and will get you banned for sure.
Posting:
- If you can't handle positive criticism/politely stated negative opinions, don't post. Not everyone is going to like everything about you.
- If it's something long, large, big, or huge, please put it under an LJ cut.
- If it contains nudity or anything that can be rated R (innapropriate material), put it under an LJ cut and include a warning for the youngsters in this community.
- If you're posting pictures, please make sure the links work. Posts with broken links will be deleted. Use photobucket.com, tinypic.com, etc to upload your photos.
- Do not disable or delete comments. If a member insulted you or attacked you, leave it for the mods to take care of.
- Posts are automatically made members only. Once your post becomes approved, please do not edit it and make it public. Public posts will not last long--- they will be deleted.
- You may post an introduction post. After all, the gossip will be about you, so why not get to know you better first? It isn't required, however.
- When you are posting a new post, remember to include your USERNAME in the TAGS and nothing else.

Celebrity gossip
- Post true, random gossip about yourself. You may post regularly as you would in your own journal or post in a creative way as if you are an actual celebrity. Here's an example of a creative way to post that many of our members use:
Earlier tonight (on January 7th) at about 7:30 pm, popxwhore25 was spotted stepping out of her house, with absolutely no make-up on, and into her car to go to the grocery store. Her hair was damp, it appeared as though she had recently gotten out of the shower. "She just went out really quick to pick up a poster board for her Art History project due tomorrow," a source close to popxwhore25 told xohyestheydid exclusively. popxwhore25 was back at home with the lime green poster board at exactly 8 pm. A source close to her tells us she was listening to Justin Timberlake's new album in her car. She recieved the album as a Christmas present from one of her close friends.
Mari, aka popxwhore25, was wearing a sweater and hat that she recently got from the Gap in earlier December (Britney Spears bought & wore those exact ones on November 7th after filing for divorce from her husband of two years) and light blue sweatpants. On her shoulder, she carried a $175 Juicy Couture bag.
