Laura was tactical and precise. Her mutant DNA, skill set, and training amplified her abilities to their peak performances, and yet always cultivated more room for improvement.
Laura was currently attempting to improve her talent at avoidance. It was difficult, to say the least, to avoid someone who was constantly finding her, one way or another, whether through contrived means or coincidence. The air currents weren't always working with her benefit in mind, and despite her attempts at listening carefully, he seemed to find ways to approach her.
It also didn't help that a small, very human, and vulnerable part of her wanted to be found, and not in general, but by him. So when he did corner her one sunny afternoon after lunch, she stole one look into his baby blue eyes and averted her gaze to his feet instead.
They were less distracting, and there was less of a chance that she would start to feel... things--things that while they weren't unpleasant, they were confusing, and terrifying, and tempting, and odd, and very unlike anything she'd felt before.
