Oh, guess who randomly updated! Don't worry, I'm not expecting some big revival here with this thing... I was just bored the other night and decided to read some of the journals, and I got really nostalgic, and decided to dig up the old password! Of course, if anyone else wanted to follow suit and fill us in on what's been going on in their character's lives over the last year and a half or so, you wouldn't have any objections from me. ;)

From the response I got in my last post, I'm guessing that most people would be open to some kind of short, reunion-type storyline. I know we all have important stuff to do so we won't go into anything complicated. My idea: How about a convention? It's convienent and time limited. If people want to continue after that it will be easy enough to do so, but if they don't they just leave the convention when its over and go back to their hiatus. I'd like to get all the LG back together if possible. Bambi too, since it was her Christmas cards that mentioned a meeting around this time. In fact, it would be nice if everyone could make at least one post, but I know that is asking a lot so, just whomever can.

Well. Time to make it official. We've been seriously losing steam over the past several months. And honestly, that's okay with me. A community like this is meant to be fun; it shouldn't be a chore. When that changes, it's time to back off. So I'm officially putting xf_journals on indefinite hiatus. Here's what I mean by that: - Posting requirements. That idea didn't work too well, huh? Posting requirements and deadlines are CANCELED until further notice. - New members. People show up, get interested and excited, join, and then leave due to lack of response. I don't like that; it's disappointing all around. This community is therefore CLOSED (to new characters only; I won't be moderating comm member list itself) .. until further notice. - This isn't the end! This is *not* to be construed as a command to stop posting. If you want to write, do it! That would thrill me no end! We have some awesome talent here. I'd love to see more from any of us, at any time, no matter what. IMO, our weakness is poor communication -- so let's try not to depend so much on communication, and write first and foremost for our own personal enjoyment. How about it? (This is directed as much at myself as at anyone else.) - Please, please don't delete your character journal! I'll beg if I have to. My hope is that with this easing of pressure, at some time in the future we'll approach the vitality we had a year ago. If and when I see that happening, I'll lift the hiatus and reopen the community to new characters. Questions? Comments? Addenda? Cries of outrage?

I really don't know what's going on lately, hence the lack of updating. I know Mulder's in the hospital and all, but I haven't seen an update from anyone in a while. I know you guys have gone through a lot of Doggetts, and well, I might pull out if this is a dead story. I mean, is everyone losing interset? I just tried logging into Doggett's journal and going through the friend's page that way, but I'm only seeing one entry. I don't get it. I have a little more projects than I thought I would, I would love to continue here, but I wish I knew if the story line moved any. *shruggs*

I would love to play Yves Adele Harlow. I'd like her to be the same Yves as she was in the story. She can work with and/or against the lone gunmen (or anyone else for that matter) depending on how she can make the greatest profit. Sometimes she's one of the good guy sometimes she's one of the bad. She has her own reasons for doing the things she does not all of them monetary. Sorry if that's a bad application. Guys, It's been great. And I've had fun. But the RP just doesn't seem the way it used to what with everyone being so busy, it seems. I don't feel like I can go anywhere with Emily or Skinner because there's not a whole lot of contact between me and other players, no bother to involve Emi or Skinner in plot lines, even though I tried to get Skinner in there. So, anyway, I'm leaving the game. I had a blast while I could be involved in the actual story and everyone posted pretty regularly. But to be honest, I'm in too many other RP's that are consistent. I hope there's no bad blood, but I'd understand if you took me off your personal flists. Hopefully I'll catch you all around.

So marikology and I had a nice long plot-related chat session tonight. No, I won't subject you to the log. ( summary of upcoming stuffs ) I forget anything extremely important, MB? So, there are PLENNNNTTYY of roles that any number of other characters can pick up in there. So, lj brainstorming session! We know what Mulder, Scully, and Roger (KRISTEN! :D) are doing for the next week - what's everyone else gonna do? (P.S. Hi. Sorry. Back now. For real, I hope. I know the website's sadly underloved. But that's not so much a priority right now. Let's get STORY back!)
