Well, I hate to disappoint you, but the news on Xeno is...no Xeno. Not for a while, anyway.
My original plan was to work on the strip over the summer, then re-start the strip from square one at the beginning of September. In fact, I was aiming for this weekend. But plans have changed for what really should have been obvious reasons.
First of all, since I'm starting school in two days (TWO FREAKIN' DAYS!), I'm going to be pretty busy, especially getting used to the increased workload, changing my habits and so forth. That's gonna prevent a lot of work in the first few weeks in any case.
Second, and more importantly, what the heck am I going to school ''for'', anyway? To work on comics, of course! So what's the freakin' point of starting the comic ''before'' I learn all the stuff that I plan to apply to it? That's bass ackwards at best.
So because of both of those, I'm putting off re-starting Xeno's Paradise until probably the Xmas holidays sometime. I'll keep posting sketches and design stuff I do through the year on the site, but aside from that don't expect any real strips or story until that point. I'm also hoping to re-design the site, maybe steal the comments system from Umlaut House 2 or something.
Hope I'm not disappointing anyone, but the strip'll be stronger for it when it happens. |

Just for you, more sketches. This time, it's Tik-Tak in the spotlight, sporting a fancy new design.
It strikes me they look just a wee bit more...I dunno. Cynical? Funny thing is, it fits their character, so I'll probably leave it. |

I'm going to have to take a bit of a hiatus. I got sick last month, and that threw my ability to produce strips for a loop. And if that wasn't enough, I got hired for a new job (with the same company I was already with), with much longer hours and more intense work, so I'm still adjusting.
So until I get my groove back, I'm going to have to put Xeno's Paradise on hold. It will be back, hopefully by early December. But I really need to take this break and try to get back on track. |

There's a button on the site, and if you could go click it daily, I'd really appreciate it. The higher the site gets, of course, the more traffic there'll be generated, which can only be a good thing, eh?

Just to keep everyone up to date, and for those folks who might be coming here via the now-mirror at Comic Genesis, my comic has officially moved its home base to http://xenosparadise.com, so update your bookmarks accordingly.
Starting in July, I'm going to be offering an exclusive XP wallpaper each month for anyone who donates. However, I'm going to have to ask anyone donating to keep the amounts above $1 due to the processing fees PayPal takes out of each transaction. Any less than that and I'm not actually getting anything, and you're just paying the PayPal people, sometehing I don't imagine is very satisfying.
I'm also looking for fanart, so if you want to try your hand (paw, flipper, pseudopods, etc., I'm not picky) at drawing some of my characters, go to it! Just make sure the images are G-rated and we're good to go.
Now, back to re-building my poor mostly-depleted buffer... |

For the record, I'm pretty proud of the art on this one. The characters look good, like they actually belong in the environment, and the caves themselves look like real places (they should, I patterened them after real caves in various parts of the world).
I'm curious, do any of the readers feel I'm right about this? |

Allow me to introduce myself, my name's Kelseigh but you can call me Kels. I'm the writer and artist of Xeno's Paradise, my first webcomic (but not my last!).
Feel free to use this community to discuss the comic, or topics related to it. All the usual rules of civility apply, so try to treat each other well while you're here, and everything should work out pretty well. Oh, and try to put any spoilers behind a LJ-cut, it would help a lot. Nobody likes their comic spoiled.
