Of Death and Dying

 • Nov. 11th, 2008 at 1:20 AM

Elektra Natchios sometimes took to the streets to people watch. Not to critique outfits, but to analyze every moment and every breath of the people that walked by to formulate a strategy. A battle plan. At all times she was ready for a fight, yet the definition of a paradox. She was ready to spring for the kill at any moment, but just looking at her sitting on the rooftop like a silk-clad gargoyle, you would barely know.

Inwardly, Mia was thrilled, if only about this ONE thing. Maybe it was all the stress Elektra was under... but for once, she found herself able to sneak up behind her. Only Batman had managed to do that so far. Voice distorter turned on, costume hiding just the right parts, she went into Tempest mode, crossing her arms. "Window shopping, Natchios?"

A Chance Meeting

 • Sep. 29th, 2008 at 11:19 PM
Who: Tempest and Batgirl
Where: A ally behind a warehouse
When: Late, late at night

To say that Tempest was having a bad week would be an understatement. So... when she got word of a drug shipment coming in to Gotham that was to target middle school children, she almost smiled. A chance to pound on some lowlifes trying to take advantage of children? RIIIIIGHT up her alley. Clad in her slightly armored bodysuit, with the mask and cloak that made her figure hard to discern, she'd jumped down, kicking the large suitcase from the hand of the first man, as the second unfortunately ran to his truck and took off. But... this left the first man to Tempest, with nobody to help him. Smiling, the young woman kneed him in the groin and thrust out her forearm, as a long, thin blade came from it. She had no intention of killing the guy... but maybe she could scare him from bringing this crap around again. She spoke, her voice distorter hiding her gender. "Well... lookie here... I guess someone brought this shit to the wrong kids..."

Tempest wasn't the only one who had heard about the drugs. There was a girl dressed in a bat costume and a cape who had come to check it out as well. She had noticed the hooded figure jump right in, and when the second man took off, she make sure his head made contact with the hood of his truck before his hands could even pull the keys from his pocket. When she looked up she noticed the other person pulling out a knife. And well, lets just say pulling a knife on unarmed man wasn't something Batgirl was really into. She actually reached out, and grabbed the figure's hand, pulling the knife away from the drug runner. "You know, kids shouldn't play with knifes."

You think this happens to the JLA?

Who: Tempest & Deadpool
When: Super early in the morning, about a week and a half after recruiting Deadpool
Where: Tempest's HQ

"Oh. My. God. WILLLLLLLSOOOOON!"

Mia Black, aka Tempest, was frankly pissed. And considering that currently, only three other people shared her team's HQ, and only one of them was at least moderately crazy, it didn't take a braintrust to guess who she was upset with. Clutching a computer printout in one hand, the petite blonde came storming into the main living quarters of what used to be a warehouse on the outskirts of Gotham, wearing a black Led Zeppelin shirt which was long enough to act as a nightgown.

Somehow... I doubt it. )

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's Deadpool!

Who: Deadpool & Rogue
When: Monday night
Where: Deadpool's apartment

Wade Wilson was bored. Those who know the assassin, whether as himself or as Deadpool, usually know that boredom typically ends with him beating the crap out of someone, or blowing shit up. So... for now, he sat in his loft in the scummier part of NYC, still in his costume, cursing at some game he was playing on his Playstation.

Enter: Nightwing

Who: Introducing Dick "Nightwing" Grayson and Molly Carter
Where: Bludhaven
When: Thursday evening, September 4th

The scene: the streets of Bludhaven. The city had become such a mecca of crime and filth that it made Gotham look wholesome by comparison. An old apartment building, one that looked to be run-down and to a degree possibly condemnable, was, on the inside, running as Nightwing's semi-new base of operations. Bruce Wayne had fronted him the money to literally buy the entire small building, and to get a few people helping him. So far, so good. The dark-haired hero walked into the lobby, leaning against the front desk, and removed his mask with a deep, relaxing breath. Another day, another job done.

Barely perceptable footsteps were heard before a soft voice called from the darkness of the hallway, "... Richard?" The voice, when revealed, belonged to a slim build young woman. Dark, boycut hair framed a slightly roundish, fair skinned face and milky-white eyes. Her gaze blankly stared in front of her, oblivious to the immediate area. The girl was dressed in a pair of black flared jeans, black work boots, and black long sleeved shirt where a blut argyle-like short sleeve sweater covered it. Gripped in one hand was a red and white stick, officially "marking" the young woman as blind.

Planning Ahead

 • Sep. 4th, 2008 at 11:32 PM
Who: Tempest and Heretic
Where: Gotham City Warehouse Docks a.k.a new hideout
When: Thursday night

Once again a red, burning star shot through the sky across Gotham City...or at least it looked like one. High above the roofs of the tallest buildings, Heretic tore through the air in flight. He had been asked by Mia Dearden, or rather his girlfriend as he referred to her as to the other students at the mansion to meet up with her at the Gotham docks warehouse. Why such a secluded place? He didn't know. If this was her idea for a private, romantic night out he wondered what other surprises he was in for with this girl. So far, she hadn't disappointed him though. Finally a.k.a a mere twenty minutes later from how fast he was able to travel in flight, he landed at the warehouse - the flames engulfing his body fading away and returning him to the wavy haired teen in his black, red trimmed X-Men uniform. He walked up to the front entrance, sliding the doors open as he walked in. "Mia?"
