what is wurds?
For over two years, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) wurds has been livejournal's only daily quote community. We maintain a very picky selection of quotes; each one is hand-picked from various sources (books, internet, member submissions, & even words heard in passing) and peer reviewed before being posted. Selected quotes tend to be philosophical, clever, humorous, and above all, insightful in some way.
where are the citations?
Hidden attributions are one of the unique features of wurds. Authors are cited within the comments, apart from the quote, allowing the option of interpreting a quote independently, as well as within the context of its author.
how can i post?
To keep content selective, only moderators can post quotes. However, we encourage anyone to submit a quote for review. Comment here and you'll be given credit once it is posted.
how can i join?
To watch wurds, just add it to your friends page. You can also become a member by clicking here, which will give you access to the archive.
is there an archive?
Yes. There is now an official archive that includes every quote that's been posted in wurds since 2004. These archives are accessible to members only, and can be found here: [2004-2005] [2006] [2007]
what can i do to help out?
There are many ways you can help out: participating in quote discussions, submitting quotes for review. Also, you could help us spread the wurd by posting a banner on your user info. Banners can be found here!
