IMPORTANT: Membership is moderated. You will be approved as long as your user profile clearly shows that you are an existing member of one of the WTF communities listed above; it must also display your date of birth to signify you are 18+.


The WTF communities are pretty awesome, and they're a source for much entertainment. Obviously the WTF topics are varied and the really good ones draw in a lot of comments. But sometimes a post or comment will cause others to pull out their best Fail Macros and pleads for an explanation.

Since many posts and comments from the WTF communities have made their way over to [info]stupid_free and/or [info]sf_drama, it only makes sense for us to have our own place to vent, point and laugh, and discuss the stupid that can only come from WTF.

So have at it. Bring us posts, links and screen captures; be it sassy, sarcastic, witty or completely at a loss for words, we want to be entertained.



RULES

1. For fuck's sake, don't break LJ's ToS.
2. Any images over 600x600 should be cut for the sake of people's f-lists.
3. If you see yourself being showcased here, don't take it personally. Everyone's fair game, even the mod(s).
3a. No threatening or going to people's personal LJ's to wreak havoc or claim retribution.
(In other words, don't be a douche.)
4. DO NOT TURN OFF COMMENTS, DELETE COMMENTS OR DELETE POSTS.
4a. Editing comments and posts is of course acceptable.
5. Reposts, even epic ones, are not stupid; they're just unfortunate. So don't post about them here please.
5a. The exception to this rule is that a post can be made pertaining to stupid that comes out of a repost. A good example would be that the OP of the repost gets snarky and causes drama in the comments.
6. Don't post your own stupid here before someone else does, just to try and save your dignity. That will not only defy the purpose of this community, but I suspect it will also annoy the crap out of a lot of people.

These are not rules, but more like suggestions:

-Check before posting something here; being a community based on a close-knit group of communities, it could be quite easy to produce reposts. If you notice that someone has posted about the same thing, but clicked the Submit button before you, please, please, PLEASE, do not delete your post. Just edit it to let people know that it's a repost and then move on (this ties in to Rule #4).

-If you post the same thing to [info]stupid_free, [info]sf_drama or any other snark community, please feel free to share the link in your post here, so that we can see what others have to say about it.

-This community is likely to go through changes from time to time, and Rules, Suggestions and whatnot are especially prone to change. Please check back once in a while to see any of these changes. If it's notable, I'll make a post about it.

-Once something is posted here, feel free to go back to the original post and wank away on the offender, if you hadn't already. In fact, this is highly encouraged.

In tribute to the Day of the Sabbath, please feel free to post cut or uncut stories, videos, pics (refer to Rule 2 above), .gifs, etc. of very questionable porn. Please to not bring reposts from wtf_inc or wtf_omgz!

Macro Monday
Present us with wtf-themed macros, found or made by you. Cut for size (refer to Rule 2 above). Add some extra spice and dedicate one or more to members of the wtf communities if you want! Reposts are welcome on Macro Mondays.

Take a Poll Tuesday
Create polls for the rest of us to participate in. Ask us questions; give us multiple choices or let us explain ourselves. Be creative!! If you're not familiar with how to make a poll and the different styles of polls, go here!! If your inquiry can't be interpreted into a poll very well, regular questions are fine.

I Do What I Want Wednesday
This is the day for complete randomness! Post whatever you want. Pictures, videos, questions, theories, rants, your thoughts on Neo-Marxism. Who gives a fuck! As long as it doesn't break LJ's ToS or the above rules, it's A-OK!

Secret Stash Thursday
Tell us a secret! It can be about anything, under any circumstances. Deep-rooted drama from your past, something that happened recently, or a guilty pleasure... tell Dr. [info]wtf_stupid what's on your mind! If you don't want to reveal your identity, post anonymously. You'll save some face and provide some mystery and intrigue!

Pics of Your Bits Friday
Post pictures of yourself (cut for size). They can be bits and pieces or full body shots. Genitals or ear lobes. Clothed or unclothed. Anonymous or open, show us your shit! You can post pictures of other people too- SO's, FWB's, stalkers (LOL), whatever. But it has to be IRL people, not just random stuff you find on the internet. It is recommended that you friends-lock any n00dz posts!!!!

Squick Saturday
Post uncut or cut images (refer to Rule 2 above), videos and .gif's full of squick and horror for our viewing pleasure!. Please to not bring reposts from wtf_inc or wtf_omgz!

In regards to banning...

I really don't know what to tell you as far as a banning policy goes. The community is so new that I think it would be premature to start listing what will get a person banned here. Obviously violation of LJ's Terms of Service would get one banned, but that kind of goes without saying. And obviously, it'd be nice if no one ever did anything that might make me contemplate banning them.*


*Everybody, please join me in congratulating [info]ringodreammer for being the first douche (and only one so far) to get banned from [info]wtf_stupid. He's a known troll that posted some pretty stupid shit in [info]wtf_omgz, and got banned there a while ago. We were graced with his presence on April 24, 2008 with this post.

TROLL POSTS AND COMMENTS, AS WELL AS ANY WHINEY BUTTHURT POSTS/COMMENTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A MONUMENTAL AMOUNT OF WANK, FAIL MACROS AND QUESTIONABLE PORN CLIPS. They won't be deleted, but the offender will be booted.
