So, you know how to write and people actually say you're good at it. Plus, you aren't some ugly goon that burns people's eyes out when they look at you. Good news! You've found the right place. We are Written Beauty, not only are we beautiful, but we have a magnificent way with words as well.

Rules Updated 01/22/05

New Members
1. Within 24 hours of joining you must post your initial post. We dislike lurkers, and the members list is reviewed daily.

2. Fill out the following:

3. This post will include a minimum of two pictures of yourself. There must be at least one clear shot of your face. We don't care what your stomach looks like or how cute your shoes are, don't bother posting those. No nudity at all. NONE. We just don't want to see that. We'll think of you as a whore, and quite frankly, we don't like whores. Put all pictures behind an LJ-cut. (If you do not know how to do this, please consult LiveJournal FAQ.)

Please do not use: geocities (yahoo), snapfish, or netscape for you pictures. They do not allow remote hosting. (That means we won't be able to see them.) Try http://www.photobucket.com.

4. You will also include a piece of writing, you may post up to three. You will be voted on the quality and skill of the writing. This means that "You made me sad/ I feel really bad/ I told my dad" is not going to cut it. You are welcome to post poetry, prose, short stories, even erotica. All work you post must be original. If it is longer then 10 lines, which is very likely, place the rest behind a cut. If it is erotica, please put it all behind a cut with a warning, children you know.

5. Until you are stamped, you may only post comments in your audition post.

6. Expect people to be assholes with their votes. Do not get bitchy about it, you are the one that subjected yourself to it. You can complain and say anything you'd like back to them but just remember it will most like ruin any chance you had to be in this community. That's okay though, I'm sure you "didn't even want to be in here." Yeah, I'm sure. I will allow the drama to a certain point. Once I feel it is getting out of hand, you will be banned, and your post added to the banned part of the memories section for pure humor.

7. After 10 votes, or five days, you will be stamped. You need a 60% ratio of yes/no votes to be accepted. Once you are stamped, your post will be added to memories.

8. If you are rejected, you may audition again in seven days. You must post new pictures and writing.

9. If you are accepted, please leave a comment on this post with one picture and a short piece of writing/excerpt from your writing for the accepted memebers list as viewed below. You may make your own (leave it in a comment on the same post as specified above), but

heartdestruct will gladly do it for you.

10. Failure to follow rules will result in one warning; then you will be banned. To show you understand this, and all above rules, the subject of your post should read: Audition.

Accepted Members
1. You may post up to three times a week. Be sure that the post either includes pictures of yourself and/or some of your writings.

2. You are expected to vote on as many valid submission that you can. If you fail to vote for an extended period of time, you will be removed from the community, unless you have informed the mod. We don't like slackers.

3. When voting on writing, vote on the skill used, not necessarily whether you personally like the writing or not. Look at their use of literary elements (repetition, rhyme, metaphors, etc.). Please give as much consideration to the writing as you do to the pictures.

4. When voting, do not be lenient. Be snobby, and be assholes. You went through it, let them as well. I'm not going to tell you not to take part in drama, because quite frankly I think it is hilarious. I would love nothing more then to find my self on LJdrama.com BUT if you get my community shut down, I will kill you.
