| About: | I originally got the idea for this community through a writing project in ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} writing_101. Basically, the idea behind this community is simple. It's a place for group writing on a specific topic. The first topic is the one that we worked on in writing_101, primarily so that people who want to finish their stories can finish their stories. Of course, you aren't required to have worked on a prompt, new members are welcome to join in this one.Here is the first prompt:
The idea behind this community is that the prompts will be worked on by two people to create a story. Here comes the complex part, but hopefully not too complex. The original format was a format where we took turns writing paragraphs and then emailing each other the finished product. Then, after all that was done, the complete story was posted to writing_101. This works, but I don't think that email is the best way of doing cooperative writing. So for this community, instead of email, we will be using a message board. The works in progress wlll be posted and worked on in the message board, and the finished product will be posted in this community. The message board is listed as this community's website. I am going to have a signup journal entry as the first entry of this community where anyone who is interested can post a comment. In order to make sure that there aren't any accounts unrelated to writing created, this message board has account activation turned on. This means that before any accounts are usable, I need to activate them. Once you comment on the signup entry, feel free to create your account with the username that you told me in the comment. After you've done this, I will activate the username as soon as I can. When both you and your partner do this, you will be able to start working on the prompt. | |
