| About: | This community was created for writers of all kinds who might like to talk about the mechanics of writing and its pitfalls and rewards. All authors are welcome, from fanfiction to fiction to nonfiction! Our intention is to provide a forum for ideas and support for budding writers, and beta testing is certainly acceptable. We also welcome "ponderings" about plot points in stories one might be writing, since hashing over ideas is often the only way to avoid plot holes! Constructive criticism is welcomed; flames are not. If you think the criticism is not being constructive, do not delete the person's comments. Leave that stuff to the mods, please! As this is a large community, we request that any piece you post that is longer than 500 words of prose or 50 lines of poetry be placed partially or entirely behind a cut-tag. Pieces that do not meet this requirement will be rejected and if it does get through, it will be deleted, both with encouragement for resubmittals. Finally, we ask that all submittals either contain a piece of writing or a topic about writing for the entire community. If you make a post that might be better suited for your personal journal, please put it there. All genres are welcomed, all forms are welcomed!
