| About: | Welcome to the the Original Fic Round Table. Need advice or want opinions on a fic you're working on? Suffering writer's block? Have something to say, a problem to be solved, advice, or just want to blow off steam? Well, you've come to the right place. Of course, we all want to be able to discuss our fics in a atmosphere that's not hostile. And we all want to be able to feel like no it's safe to post an excerpt without feeling like it's going to get posted all over the internet under another name. So here's some ground rules: 1. Sections of original fic posted here should be placed under lj-cut. Please ask if you need help with that--I'm more than glad to help out. 2. Sections of original fic posted here should be friends-locked. Just a precaution. It is the internet, after all. 3. Sections of original fic posted here are under copyright of the original poster. They will not be archived here in memories unless the author requests that, and all posting/archiving them here means is that you wanted to share them--none of that exclusivity crap here, if you please. 3a. Following right along with that, no fic posted here should be taken anywhere else by anyone but the author. There won't be any warnings--if it happens and an author can show me it happened, out you go. No exceptions. This place has no value at all if we can't feel safe bouncing ideas off each other, so that's what we gotta do to make it a forum rather than a pulpit.4. Obviously, (as far as I know, anyway), no one here's a professional writer/editor/publisher, so use common sense and judgment when taking advice or incorporating ideas into your fic. We're here to have fun and talk/write fic, so let's get down to it! | |
