OK SO ITS MEME TIEM.

TODAYS MEME is a repeat of the original TV Tropes meme. THIS TIME HOWEVER

We are going to pretend that this is a TV tropes style page for WR. And we are going to list tropes for WR in the comments. I will update this page until it resembles a TV tropes page, complete with Character List.

Here's an example of a TV tropes page
And a character page

SO GUYS. GO GO GO. Summary first plz.

World Refugees

Where Will You Be?

An ongoing LiveJournal RPG that started as a Kingdom Hearts-themed answer to a zombie-invasion meme and turned into an epic retelling of the games.

After barely surviving a Heartless invasion, several youths from Earth were scattered across the worlds of the Disney mythos with little more than the clothes on their backs and their laptops. Using a worlds-spanning Internet connection, the newly-dubbed Refugees forged a support network of friends as they struggled to survive and watched as the story of Kingdom Hearts unfolded.

Their initial plan had been to avoid meddling with the game’s canon at all cost and wait until Earth was restored along with all the other worlds at the end of the story. The first part of the game ended with Xemnas discovering the community and Earth’s restoration. Several Refugees returned home, but many others stayed in the other worlds, laying the groundwork for a resistance against the Organization, who planned to use their knowledge of the “prophecy” of the games to defeat Sora and his allies.

One year later, the Refugees, struggling with the memory loss from Chain of Memories, found themselves thrown back into adventure, facing off against Organization XIII for the events of Kingdom Hearts II.

The “prophesied” story changed dramatically when Songbird, the Nobody of a girl who had died during Earth’s invasion, joined forces with Xemnas and the Organization. Their goal: to complete Kingdom Hearts and use its power to destroy the Universe and set up a utopia known as the Dreaming.

Forgetting all about maintaining canon now, the Refugees allied themselves with Sora and fought against Organization XIII while also struggling with clashes of ideals amongst themselves.

World Refugees is both celebrated for its faithfulness to characterization and criticized for breaking canon. The cast has been added to and subtracted from over time, but the core group of characters has largely remained the same.

Aya

One of the many characters of the series, she was one of the original survivors of the H-day invasion. Initially left somewhat insane (and permanently scarred in more ways than one) by the destruction of her world, various experiences eventually molded her into one of the most spirited and strong-willed members of the Refugees. Though recently she disengaged from the others to join Earth's Heartless Defense Force, she still maintains quite a presence amongst her peers.

* Improbable Weapon User (Fiberglass human spine model. I am not making this up.)
* Took a level in badass
* Hot Blooded
* Rampant One liner user.
* Berserk Button
* Badass (After taking a level in it at least!)
* No Sympathy (Especially in regards to some of her fellow Refugess, unfortunately.)

Ryune

The reluctant leader of the Refugees, Ryune was an original survivor of H-day and spent most of the first game sitting around in Twilight Town teaching high school. During the second game, however, she stepped up and started a press-conference with the United Nations, setting into motion several events. She died and came back, leading to her subsequenly taking a level in badass.

She continues to lead the refugees, although she frequently screws up.

*Mama Bear - don't fuck with her refugees.
*Action Girl
*Straight Arrow - she's an archer
*Team Mom
*Bifauxnen - recent cracktastic events are the cause of this
*The Medic
*Going Native - Uneryx did her job and she did it GOOD.

Mabry/Belegwen/Lady Gwendolyn

Spent the first game looking for her NPC husband, while mostly masquerading as a medieval lady. Songbird is her adopted sister. In the second game, she briefly pretended to betray the refugees to Xemnas, in the hopes of feeding him false information. Following this she settled in Hollow Bastion, where she provides healing and housing to all comers.

*Promotion to Parent
*Happily Married
*Honor Before Reason
*Shorter Means Smarter
*Pollyanna
*The Medic
*Fake Defector
