Hi-
After two years of playing on a PVP server, I'd like to try my hand at RP. I was wondering if anyone knew if any of the RP-PVP servers have healthy RP or if it is completely dead. If I'm not going to find anything on an RP-PVP server, recommend an RP server to start from? I'd prefer information from the Alliance point of view.
Thanks!

New to Community

Heya! New to this community, but certainly not new to WoW or RP. This particular journal is used by two people - Eliane and Archeon - to catalog stories and events and the like. I've made a list of the RP stories we've posted thus far behind the cut if any care to look them over. They range from short one-shots to full epix.

Hope you enjoy!

<3 ~Eliane

Title:
Tribune of the Horde - RP Event

Tribune of the Horde

The treaty remains scattered and forgotten, and war has returned to our lands. The forests of Ashenvale, the foothills of Hillsbrad, the mountains of Alterac, even in other worlds… war has come to the Alliance and the Horde. Although we have made many great strides in taming and defeating the dangers of the Outlands, and much of Old Azeroth..many threats still linger in the shadows…

Who chooses our fate? How do the people voice their concern and desires? Who decide what matters most to the people and how to appease such matters? It has been many months since a benevolent council has held sway over the politics of the Horde. In the upcoming week a gathering will be hosted where the races of the Horde shall gather and through elected Diplomats they may voice their concerns and bring them before the War Chief.

The Tribune is an open exchange where the races may each have a reprehensive to speak on their behalf before a council of peers. These gatherings are where free thought, discussion, and verbal exchanged concerning our shared fates maybe shared. This event is open to ALL of the Horde.

-------------------

Date: July 27th

Time: 10pm est / server time

Server: Steamwheedle (US)

Diplomats: Mathadris (Blood Elf), Rikora (Orc), Mooth (Tauren), Tazdangor (Troll), Ryutan (Undead)

Nominations for Diplomats: Ended June 31st

Where: Inside of ZG. Warlock summons will be available, as well as summoning stone summons. Due to heavy traffic, and easy casual access by greifers the Tribune will not be hosted in a Major city. To accommodate the location, a Scribe will be in attendance to collect notes and send back the events of this gathering to the War Chief. There is no level requirement to attend at this location.

Presentation Order: The order in which the Diplomats will speak and conduct their presentation is based on their races membership within the Horde. Out of respect the eldest races shall speak first, and then be preceded by the newer members. The order stands as Orcs first, Trolls, Tauren, Undead, and Blood Elves last.

Who may attend: Characters do NOT have to be a Diplomat to attend this event, it is open to ALL of the Horde. More so, after a Diplomats presentation the attending audience is welcome to ask questions, and otherwise engage with the Diplomat who had presented. This event is a forum for exchange and ideas about the state and future of the Horde. Furthermore player who are not Diplomats are encouraged to talk to your Diplomats and let them know of any concerns you would like your Diplomat to address on behalf of your race.

Attire: Formal

Faction: Strictly, and pure Horde. Alliance and enemies of the Horde found in attendance face IC backlash – if you bring an Alliance character into this event it will be treated as a spy IC and face very harsh / violent reactions. In choosing to bring your Alliance toon to the event, you agree to and understand that your character is in physical danger if discovered. Further more, Alliance spies agree to rp the consequence of their own actions if they attend this event (permadeath will not be used on Alliance if any are discovered).

OOC verses IC: This is an IC rp event. The concerns and views addressed are to be oriented in game and not be ooc concerns or problems. Perhaps at a late date we should host an ooc event – however this event is oriented towards the political, military, and social nature of the IC Horde. Keep your rp strictly ic, and your ooc strictly ooc.

Lore: This event is lore based and oriented. Until the content exists in game please do not make use of it (i.e. Wrath is not yet out and the lore in the upcoming expansion may change at any time. For example – characters may talk about the Scourge threat – but details and information about Death Knight player characters would be limited to nonexistent as the content as the expansion is not yet official or yet published in game. At any point in time Blizzard could change or alter the unpublished lore.)

Questions?: Contact Banshih, or Mathadris ooc. For IC questions and concerns speak with your races Diplomat.

Hi hi!

Hi everyone.

I just started playing WoW again a few days ago. (I haven't playing in years so I feel pretty much like a total noob again, heh.) Anyhow, I'm looking for a good RP guild or just a good server to RP on since RPing is 2/3 of the fun for me in playing an MMO. I'm open to pretty much any side or class since I am just getting restarted.

I have a character on Kirin Tor at the moment just to get back into the swing of things.

Anyhow, I thought I would join the community and inquire about finding some fun RP on here since lj is my main online social... er... thing.

Tribune of the Horde - RP Event Steamwheedle

Tribune of the Horde

The treaty remains scattered and forgotten, and war has returned to our lands. The forests of Ashenvale, the foothills of Hillsbrad, the mountains of Alterac, even in other worlds… war has come to the Alliance and the Horde. Although we have made many great strides in taming and defeating the dangers of the Outlands, and much of Old Azeroth..many threats still linger in the shadows…

Who chooses our fate? How do the people voice their concern and desires? Who decide what matters most to the people and how to appease such matters? It has been many months since a benevolent council has held sway over the politics of the Horde…now is the time to choose who will represent you and your people. In the upcoming weeks a gathering will be hosted where the races of the Horde shall gather and through elected Diplomats they may voice their concerns and bring them before the War Chief.

These meetings are open delegations where the races may each have a reprehensive to speak on their behalf before a council of peers. These gatherings are where free thought, discussion, and verbal exchanged concerning our shared fates maybe shared.[/i]
------------------------------------

Date: To be announced. Nominations for Diplomats are currently open. Details for nominations are listed below.

Time: Evening pm hours most likely around 9pm

Where: ZG noninstance version, at the Snake boss ruins. Warlock summons will be available. We would like to host this event in Thrall’s chambers – however quest to the high traffic of the area and questing in that area we feel there would be too many distractions. A scribe will be in attendance of the meeting who will take the meeting and its notes back to Thrall himself.

Attire: Formal

Server: Steamwheedle (us)

Who?: Any and all Horde regardless of guild or race.

Faction: Strictly, and pure Horde. Alliance and enemies of the Horde found in attendance fact IC backlash – if you bring an Alliance character into this event it will be treated as a spy IC and face very harsh / violent reactions. In choosing to bring your Alliance toon to the event, you agree to and understand that your character is in physical danger if discovered. Further more, Alliance spies agree to rp the consequence of their own actions if they attend this event (permadeath will not be used on Alliance if any are discovered).

Diplomats: The ideal diplomat should be the embodiment of their Race. There will be two diplomats per Horde race – elected from popular nomination and vote. There will be a primary Diplomat who will take the floor, and a secondary supporting Diplomat who will assist the Primary Diplomat stand in the stead of the Primary Diplomat if the Primary is absent.

Diplomat duties: To collect the top 5 concerns of your people, and present them before a council of your peers. Diplomats are to collect a wide range of concerns and problems from as many of their peers as possible to allow as my characters a chance to voice their concerns, and ideas. There are many means to conduct such a survey – such as in person communication, or even the mail system. Members of the Horde are encouraged to find and address their Diplomat with their top 5 concerns and ideas for the Horde.

At the council, each Diplomat will be given a respectable time to address the concerns of their race before an audience of their peers. Afterwards, the audience may engage with the Diplomat who holds the floor to speak in regards to the matters addressed.
Horde members attending: Those members of the Horde attending are welcome to sit and listen and even engage with the diplomats. After a Diplomat has held the floor – the diplomat will then open the floor to five members of the horde (selected by dice rolling for top 5 if there are more then 5 players wanting to speak). Those members of the Horde may freely engage in debate, counter, or even provide and suggest solutions to the problems. There will be a time limit, so players will be asked to not afk and post in a time effective manner so other characters may take their turn.

For example – characters may talk about the Scourge threat – but details and information about Death Knight player characters would be limited to nonexistant as the content as the expansion is not yet official or yet published in game. At any point in time Blizzard could change or alter the unpublished lore.)

Diplomats Nominated (nominations open – please submit your nominations):
Blood Elf -
Orc -
Tauren -
Troll -
Undead –

How to nominate a diplomat: IC….ballots have been sent out and arriving in the mail for members of the Horde, to elect a voice for themselves from among their peers. Characters may submit their nominations via mailsystem. OOC – post in the forums your characters mailed in nominations, or submit an in game mail/whisper to Banshih, or Mathadris. Nominations end June 30th, diplomats announced July1st.

Keep in mind – those nominated are being elected into a political position. This is not a case of who is the most popular – but someone who is the best suited for the job. Characters with Ic criminal histories, and concepts that would never make sense for such a role (known criminals, known enemies of the Horde, etc would not be an ideal diplomat). What would your character want to represent for their race?

But then again..what is politics without a few scandals?

Hola all. I`m soory for my bad English, because I`m from Russia. I`m playing WOW for 1 year. Not on official EU server, but on private Ukraine. My character is Gnome Warlock. I`ve been playing him for half-year. I love RP and I`m writing Diary. My character`s /Tsar/ Diary. If you understand Russian - read it, it`s very funny.
Some questions:
-How many RP realms in the EU WoW?
-Are there any Russian communities?
__________________________
Sorry for my English ^^

WoW RP Story

Behind the cut is a rp story I created. Its a short quick story no longer then 2 pages in length. If your a fan of tragic love, this might be just the thing for you. This story is a plot hook for an ongoing rp plot for my own character, the forsaken female in this story.

"What value was the tabard he bore if it had never won him his prize? "

It all started with Jennifer. She had the most beautiful strawberry blonde hair…

The two of them had been friends since early childhood. Their parents knew one another, and each family had helped one another till the fields and attend the crops. Each and every summer she’d grown prettier, her girlish looks blooming…catching and keeping his attention. Only, she never repaid it in kind. As they grew, he simply fell into the role of a close friend – kept close and yet at length. In time the courtship games began and her suitors came about…but still he was only a friend.

Then the war came. The suitors were gone, and the distant smell of death lingered. It was one late evening as the two of them sat on the wooden post fence along the long dusty trail that a battalion rode past. Their armor was polished, their weapons pristine…it was an undeniable grand display that caught HER attention. They called themselves the Scarlet Crusade, and they were riding to war to battle undead scourge that threatened the very existence of anything in its path.

So….he grabbed the cloak of a passing paladin rider and pleaded his case, asking to join the Crusade and to follow them into battle. On that dusty long road, he conscripted himself into the Scarlet’s to impress her…to make her notice him. He would be a man now, he’d face the horrors of battle, and return a veteran to claim his unrequited love.

Only…what one envisions in their head as a fantasy is far different from the reality.

The battle was a slaughter; the troops he had followed were tore limb from limb. The horrors he’d witnessed in less than a few moments of battle would stay with him forever….he’d only survived the battle and his own inexperience by fleeing.

~~

Now…he walks the halls of the Tyr’s Hand Abby. His love, who he was so desperate to impress, had died. The war rolled over their childhood homes, slaying his love, their kin, and leaving nothing but memories in its wake. Even though the years had passed, and he still longed for her.

Tonight it was his duty to keep a steadfast watch upon a particular retreat within the Abby’s library. The library housed a collection of tomes, collected from the heretics known as the Cult of the Damned. He’d never been allowed to review such books, as it was forbidden – the lore and blasphemy within the forbidden collection was reserved for only the most ‘devout’ within the Crusades ranks.

Not once had he ever pondered the contents of his wards…it was in these long dark night hours that he longed for her. The memories of her cheery demeanor kept his inner demons at bay. His mind drifted back to the gold fields of grain outside their family homes and laboring alongside her. Mentally he relived the times they shared like a rosary every night, never tiring, never releasing the memory of what was and could have been. Perhaps his longing is what made him the perfect guardian of such forbidden knowledge. What value was the tabard he bore if it had never won him his prize? What was the point of his duties if he’d never ride home to collect her? She was dead…and he walked the cold stone halls of the Abby alone.

These long nights had become a blur. Each slipping past as he pined away for something he would never have.

As he paced the halls, he paused to adjust his tabard…noting at the same time that the torch nearest him on the wall flickered as if stirred by a wind. As the torch’s flame danced, blades slipped between his ribs on either side of his back – finding solace in his lungs. His cloth attire offer no protection from the bite of the blades….all the same, a part of him consigned himself to this end years ago. The only animation and vocalization he could offer was the sound of him choking upon his own blood as his lungs seized.

In silence, he choked, coughed and spit out blood – his body seizing in an attempt to draw precious air. The blades that had silenced him were not removed – but rather now used as leverage...a handhold to push him face first against the wall. Once he was against the wall, one dagger slid out from between his ribs, releasing a rush of trapped air out from the open wheezing wound as his lung failed and then deflated upon itself.

Against the wall, his attacker pressed its body to his while reaching about to placed the dagger to his throat. As he stood pinned to the wall, his throat was slit with the dagger that had just been in his ribs. Still he coughed, spit, and bleed…but never did he struggle...consigned he lulled into a sort of peace. The promise of an afterlife where he might find his love soothed him into a sort of passive state.
Only after his throat was slit, could he hear it…in his ear his attacker quietly crooned. He did not know or understand the song…or the intention behind lulling to him as he died. In a moment he was freed once more, the dagger still in one of his ribs pulled out leaving him completely mute. He was allowed to collapse upon the floor, left to bleed to death.

Laying there he looked outward, towards the figure that had so graciously spared him from his ‘duty’…observing with interest the tall Forsaken female...and how she so casually stepped over him….and advanced towards the books he was to protect. His vision failed him as she strolled away, twirling her blood soaked daggers deftly in each hand.

All the same, he need not watch the forsaken stroll on…or have his vision to think back to better years and his Jennifer as he lay dying.

~~
The next morning, the Scarlets buried their fallen companion. His peers offering his a proper funeral by bonfire…leaving nothing in the way of remains for the scourge to claim. What remained now, were questions concerning his death, and the stolen tomes.

Who once a year, are assaulted, knocked witless, and made to play host to…The Spring Fish Fling! Fishers of the Horde, professional and amateur alike are encouraged to come out and share their passion for fishing! The Spring Fish Fling is an entire evening event of fishing, violence, feasting, and of course more fishing!

This is a great chance to show off Hordies to socialize their crawdad pets, flaunt their fishing attire, and have a bite to eat all in the presence of good company! As Nate puts it, “Fishing is a great excuse to drink.”

--------- MINI EVENTS -----------
*Fishing Pole Dueling – No weapons, no spell casting, just you and your fishing pole to the end! Nat Pagle's Fish Terminator will be honored in these duels – so bring it if you have it! Who says fishing is for sissies?

* Fish Fry – Chefs of the Horde are encouraged to come forward, and share with the masses their finest fishy culinary concoctions! All through out the evening, hearths and fireplaces will be ablaze – playing host to casual attendees and chefs alike!

* The Crowning of the King and Queen – One male, and one female attendee will be selected as the best dressed for the evening and will be crowned! The judging is based on their fashion sense towards their fishing attire – nonfishing based attire does not qualify. Features such as gear from the Booty Bay fishing contest, and fishing enchantment do factor into the considerations as to who will be crowned.

* Prizes – To be announced!! We are hoping to have the prize pool offered for this on par to last years ‘Dance of the Dead’! For those who have asked, ‘Dance of the Dead’ will again be hosted this year! There will be countless free giveaways at this event..such as the +100 to fishing lures, +5 to fishing poles, and +fishing enchants!

----- DETAILS ---------
Date: Sunday, April 20th 2008 (The same day as the Booty Bay Fishing Contest)
Time: 8pm server time / eastern standard time.
Faction: Horde (Steamweedle US server)
Ammount of Fishing Skill required: You can have very low fishing skill to fish in the area that this even is at. We beleive a player with a 0 fishing rating, with the use of the free +100 lures can the free glove enchant can even fish in this area! So, bring a spare set of gloves, and come work on your fishing!

Location: Contact Banshih, Traumateam, or Mooth for further details! Whispers, say, and ingame mail are all valid means of contacting them! There will be a limited amount of Warlock summons for this event – obvious lvl 1 alts will not be accepted without prior clearance and confirmation of the main identity of the player.

OOC: This is a Horde based rp event, but there’s no reason why the occasional PEACEFUL Alliance just might stumble into this, and cast their line into the waters as well! This is NOT a pvp event, please do not attend flagged. This event is intended as a fun way to level your fishing skill, socialize, and meet new players! This is an rp event, so IC interactions are required.

SUGGESTED MOD: Are you new to fishing and want to level it with ease? If so, check out the mod called fishing buddy – it has many novel features such as auto lures, click to cast, and fish tracking based on region! This mod is a must for any fisher!

VOLUNTEERING: Want to help and get involved? Contact Banshih to see what you can do - Currently we need two DEPENDABLE warlocks who are willing to perform summons! Also, we need a host for the duel tourney!

The alliance needs to get supplies and payroll through to the outlands. Given the bulk needing to be sent, they will use the portal to move the supplies. It is vital to the morale and needs of the alliance to get these supplies through. Those who have agreed to protect this shipment will meet in Darkshire and begin the long trek to the Portal taking a route through the Swamp of Sorrows.

(March 29th - 9 PM server time - Gathering at 8:30)
(Low levels welcome to come as secretaries, aide de camps in charge of the supplies themselves)
SERVER - SteamWeedle (us)

Horde Side:
Imagine the blow you could give to the alliance not only to their Morale but the lack of supplies. In addition, it will fledge out your own factions' needs. Can you stop this caravan from reaching it's destination?
(Lower levels - brave the bands of alliance.. or remove the mortally wounded and tend to their needs)

This event is also an rp event as rumor of the caravan spreads through the horde.. use it to generate conversation. Alliance.. will the horde find out.. can we get the caravan through??

(((Guild masters.. if you have calendars.. can you please post this event.. let us make this a huge server event. Contact Leahalani with any questions. ))))

Pride of the Ancestors - Recruiting RPers on Feathermoon

Hail, Horde-lings!

Back in February, I posted an announcement about a new RP guild I was starting on Feathermoon. Pride of the Ancestors has officially launched and we now stand at 25 members. Every member is dedicated to RP although we have varying degrees of skill.

Our guild site is up and running and can be found at http://ancestorspride.proboards47.com and all of our information is available to read even if you're not a member of the site.

It's time to see if we can make a difference on this RP server. Time to take the server back from the non-RP "losers" that have seemingly taken over. Did you know that some great (albeit elven) RP takes place in Silvermoon? Did you know people actually think that we'll NEVER get RP to happen in Orgrimmar? Preposterous! Check us out, see what we're all about and message Jox or one of our officers for an IC interview and see if this is some place you'd like to call home.

Warlocks are not admitted at this time. Recruiting for Be's is also closed at this time. All other Horde races are welcome to join. However, your demon-baby, vampire, dragon-half, lycan, power hungry, cat-person need not apply. : )

Adult Roleplay

I have been interested in finding a roleplay guild on Moon Guard but haven't had much luck. Is anyone a part of a good, fun, mature (over 18) heavy roleplay guild either on Moon Guard or another roleplay server which is looking for members?

Or, would anyone be interested in starting one up?

Ball of Amore

There are sheets of parchment attached to random outdoor walls in all of the Alliance and Horde's major cities. No one saw them being posted, save for a few with farfetched claims that a shadowy monster left them behind in the night. They glow slightly at the edges with a yellowish-green aura and city officials note that they are completely unable to remove them from the walls. The sheets are printed with the same message in three languages regardless of location; two are crudely written in Common letters and Orcish runes, but are legible. The third is expertly scribed in Thalassian.

It reads:
"Do you seek a place to take your significant other this time of year, or are otherwise alone, in need of an oppertunity to meet someone nice? The Ball of Amore awaits your arrival, at the moonwell near the Stormrage Barrow Dens in Moonglade. Members of Ordo Draconis should be on hand to serve drinks to those on the Horde, and members of the Right Hand of Elune may be doing the same for members of the Alliance. Feel free to bring your own refreshment. Formal attire is strongly encouraged. Sufferers of the recent plague outbreak are advised to keep a distance from the moonwell if they must attend. The ball begins on the fifteenth of February, at eighth bell. --Laciel Duskraven"

Something is undeniably suspicious. But for most who read the invitations, it does sound like a good time...

(( Yup, it's the cross-faction Valentine's thingy I mentioned in a past post. This is my first attempt at hosting a get-together in WoW, so it is fairly simple in concept; just come to the Stormrage Barrow Dens moonwell at 8pm on Friday, Feb. 15 and engage in some RP. There should be staff on both factions handing out beverages, but bring your own just in case they do not (precautions, precautions). Those who are involved in the recent plague outbreak RP event are expected to comply with its regulations, if anyone afflicted by it feels the dire urge to come.

SERVER: Steamweedle (US) ))

(( Apologies for only announcing this with a week's notice. Spread the word! ))

Gnome Humor
-----------------------------
Three Alliance raiders - a human, a dwarf, and a gnome - are caught after killing innocent civilians at Crossroads and are brought to Oggrimar. They're tied and sentenced to death by guillotine.

"Do you wan't to be beheaded on your back or your front?" the Orc executioner asked. The dwarf looks up at the executioner and sneers "On me back," the dwarf said. "I'm nae a-skeered 'o death." So the dwarf was laid on his back under the blade. The executioner pulled the lever back, the blade dropped... only to stop inches from the dwarf's neck.

"Bah! Under Horde law, no man may be executed twice for the same crime!" screams the Orc Executioner mournfully, but the dwarf is released.

Next came the human, who was asked "Back or front?" The human, like his dwarven comrade, chose to bravely face the blade. So the human was laid on his back under the blade. The executioner pulled the lever back, the blade dropped... only to stop inches from the human's neck.

"Bah! Under Horde law, no man may be executed twice for the same crime!" screams the Orc Executioner mournfully again, but the human is released.

Next came the gnome, who was asked "Back or front?". "If it's good enough for my friends, it's good enough for me," replied the gnome. He was laid on his back under the blade, and the executioner about to pull the switch, when the gnome yelled "HOLD IT! "

"What? Why?" the orc executioner replied.

"Just a minute," explained the gnome. " I think i can see why the mechanism is jamming..."

Feathermoon - Suffering From Bad RP?

So, I've been on Feathermoon from near the beginning- I rolled my character a mere month and a half after the game released. When I joined Feathermoon, RP was EVERYWHERE. And sure you had the occasional "1337 HAXX0R" trying to ruin it, but it was an awesome place for RP. That has changed over the years.

While there is still some outstanding RP on the server, there isn't enough. More and more of my RP friends are leaving the server to find "better" RP on other servers. Me? I take a different stance: Let's stay and improve the RP on the server.

So this is an open enrollment call to join my new RP guild not even a week old. It's a Heavy RP guild called Pride of the Ancestors on Feathermoon. Led by a tauren hunter (Jox), he has been called by the Earthmother to form a tribe of individuals striving to make a difference in the world even if it is simply by fighting with honor. The Pride seeks to live lives worthy of their ancestors in the hopes of making them proud. OOC we are trying to change the RP landscape of the server. We are in active recruitment mode for all levels. Warlocks will not be admitted to the guild at this time. Undead are welcome to apply, but they must have a good back story and match the goals of the guild. Blood Elf admittance is very limited right now due to the crappy/predictable RP I've seen from a lot of blood elves on the server.

Your demon-baby, vampire, dragon-half, lycan, power hungry, cat-person need not apply. : )

I'm working on a guild site this week, have an application ready, tabard done, guild bank purchased, and we're growing every day. Feel free to ask questions here or find Jox in-game to ask further questions or set up an interview. You can also email him at joxfinehoof AT gmail dot com.

I'm still not 100% sure what server I'm going to play on... maybe Blackwater Raiders, since that seems to be a kind of popular one? But, I have no clue what to play. I want something good and traditional. So help me narrow down from these choices:

Draenei priestess
Night elf priestess
Human mage
Troll hunter
Orc warrior

Hiya ^^

new to the comm, but not to RP or wow- been playing wow for over a year and have been playing table top RPG's since I was 15 (and I'm one of those rp'ers who thinks a night has been wasted if you don't break into sobs or blood curdling screams of fear or hatred/anger during a session)

I have been dabbling with a few ideas for an RP toon, and actually have quite a few- just for introductions sake, i'll list them
Aermiikielle Deveraux-a blood elf hunter who was tossed out of her family for being a rough and tumble tomboy and falling in love with a troll shaman. Her pet is her faithful fluffy drooly worg named Fel.

Luxam Saenaar Farthas- a blood elf shadow priest who was shunned by the Light and became a warlock because he made a deal with a succubus in order to save himself from his overwhelming arcane addiction. He is currently mated/married to my night elf hunter, Lougara.

Lougara Selindrila A'folan- a night elf who started the path as a priestess, wanting to be like her older sister, but grew bored with scrolls and spells, and became a hunter like her father. Her faithful pet is a black wolf named Vincent, and he is her main source of solace when she slips into depression- her mother died while birthing her, and she blames herself constantly- she even tried to commit suicide over it. Her mate is a bloof elf warlock named Luxam. =D (she's not emo, though- her depression is a rare occurance- normally she's very blunt and outgoing and could care less of what others think of her) She's my main, over on Draka- it's not RP, but my guild indulges in it. ^_^

Soliese Siitara A'folan- a night elf holy/disc priestess, older sister to Lougara, who is very quiet and does little to attract attention to herself, due to her unnatural ways that would get her kicked out of the sisterhood- she is secretly mated to a druidess named Ylerae.

Telpeloke Daerina Asteras- a VERY OLD night elf druid who has a serious 'old world' complex- she considers all races 'lesser races' and undeserving of being her allies- she refuses to be in the company of anyone other than other kal'dorei, and she kills sin'dorei on sight if possible. She has a secret fear of Draenei- they remind her of Eredar and she is terrified of them, but will never admit it.

anyways- I have a question for you RP'ers here:

I want to start a draenei priestess, name her Fiiara, and I want to run with this idea:

Fiiara is a quiet non descript female Draenei on first glance- pretty to look at, but nothing spectacular, with pale silvery white skin and pearl white hair. her horns rake out to the sides, and look as though she has filed the sides and tops down- they are completely smooth. The ends also look as though they are regularly trimmed. Her tail looks a bit longer than average, and her hooves are slightly smaller and more compact. A dark pewter scar runs up to her right clavicle from underneath her neatly kept robe, jagged wide and thick. She makes no attempt to hide it, but doesn't draw attention to it, either. She turns her back to you, her hair pulled over one shoulder, and the low cut back of her robes shows a huge wide scar covering the span of her back from scalpula to scalpula. You wonder where these cars came from, and what kind of weapon inflicted them that could cause a wound that could not be healed without leaving such a scar.

Basically, I want to RP a draenei who was once an Eredar who was a merciless killer, and eventually saw the error of her ways in an accidental encounter with a Vindicator who was conversing with a Naaru. He attacked her with a blade forged of Light, and she was blinded by it, and realized what an evil creature she was. She begged him to forgive her and her ways, and pleaded for a way to redeem herself. The naaru showed pity on her and cleansed her of her evil, and in a show of gratuity and resolve to her promise of redemption, she ripped off her own wings. In order to keep her past where it belonged, she shaves her horns and tims them to hide the jaggedness of them, and to keep their length under control. She is ashamed of her past, and tried to make up for her misdeeds by caring for the ill and wounded, and bringing the wrongfully dead back to life. She has no desire for love or carnal pleasure- she only cares to make up for her wrong doings.

my question is- would others readily accept this, or would this conflict with the lore somewhere? If I'm reading correctly, the draenei were all eredar until Velen lead them to the light- i basically want to RP her as one that came later, only after learning the hard way the error of her ways.

any thoughts on this?

RP Guild Recruiting

Hello everyone! I hope this allright to post here. I thought you roleplayers out there might appreciate a heavy rp guild.

Guild: The Azure Order
Server: Moon Guard
Side: Alliance
Type: Heavy RP, Raiding
Age limit: Seeking mature players, please be a legal adult in your area

Are you a true hearted servant of all that is good? Are you a faithful servant of the Light, the Naaru, or Elune? Then join the Azure Order, a collection of righteous heroes from Azeroth and beyond, dedicated to stamping out the shadow of the Legion and other, more subtle servants of Evil...

We do not accept the flawed arguments of those who attempt to justify meddling with powers they were not meant to know, and therefore we do not allow warlocks to join our ranks. We hold the soul as sacrosanct, and therefore will not condone those who violate it by inducting them into an Order with a holy purpose. We, however, do not strike out with violence against warlocks of the Alliance unless forced to defend ourselves. Rather we believe that all, save for constructs like demons, have the potential to be redeemed. We will do our best to lead by example and inspire our fallen brethren to change their ways before they are irrevocably lost.

Our enemies are the Legion, the Scourge, and those who seek to do evil while hiding behind the names of the Light and Elune. We will strive to become strong and to act with heroism and compassion. Karabor will be retaken! One day, even Northrend will know the thunder of our footsteps.

Join with us, seeker of the truth, and oppose that which would destroy our very world.

Forums: http://theazureorder.freeforums.org/
(some stories can't be read until you are a member of the forum)

Raiding: We recently moved servers, so we are looking to start up our raiding again. We have a main tank, a dps warrior, and a holy paladin that are nicely geared and have been through Kara quite successfully. We are currently looking for people to fill our other core raiding slots. You do NOT have to be guilded to raid with us. We want to see 25 mans and our progress on our previous server is encouraging. Get in on the ground floor!

SteamWeedle (US)

Wembel Kinj, of Kinj Brothers Art and Artefacts, hereby announces Stormwind's first Tales and Ales event!

Come to the Blue Recluse of Stormwind, at 9:00 PM on Monday the 28th of January and be ready to share a story. The fine oral tradition of storytelling has become rare in these days of uncertainty and turmoil, and far too many stories have been forgotten already. Wembel and Wumble will collect and record these stories for posterity, and will tell their own tales as well. Come to tell your story, or just come to listen!

===== OOC Bit ======
SERVER - SteamWeedle (US)

A simple twist on a "Tavern" RP event, everyone participating will get a chance to stand in front of the rest of the audience and tell a story. The stories can be about anything, some can be about your own escapades, others could be poems or stories about legendary figures of WoW history.

There will also be the usual Tavern-like stuff - people drinking and doing freeform RP. Fun will be had by all.

It's generally suggested you prepare the story ahead of time in a text editor so you can copy-paste it into the chat, unless you're a REALLY fast typist. It's also suggested that your tale not take more than a few minutes to tell - we're not looking for Sagas here, but more short tales.

This will be an open and announced event, all are welcome and pass the word.

New here

Hello everyone :)
I'm new to the community (though not at all to WoW or RPing) and just thought I'd make my basic introductions.
I currently play an orc shaman named Jyundea on the Kilrogg server, with a couple of alts on the same server. Kilrogg is a normal server, but I do engage in some mild RP there sometimes (though less often these days). I'm very attached to my shaman, and it's kind of funny trying to explain to a group of non-RP raiders why it's important to me to obtain Gorehowl, even though I'm a healer, or why it's important for me to spend so much gold getting exalted with Orgrimmar, or spend mind-numbing hours in Warsong getting exalted with their forces.
I'm not looking to transfer any of my characters on that server, as sometimes I'm just not in the mood to be in-character, but I am thinking of making another toon on an RP server.

The problem is, the couple of RP servers I've dabbled with over the years seemed to be chock full of people who don't roleplay ever. I'm one of those 'assholes' who does find it a bit annoying to be on an RP server, trying to get immersed into the world and my character, and seeing people running and jumping around in buildings, or always chatting OOC, or completely ignoring any attempts I make to be 'in character' around them.

So my main point of this whole entry is, where can I find an RP server where people actually RP?

Tavern Crawl - Allaince & Horde Night - Jan 21st

Business has been bad all over Azeroth. With so many adventures and heroes off in the Outlands the old world taverns, vendors, and other businesses have been lacking customers. Frustrated with the condition of their business, tavern and pub owners the world over have united into a sort of union and are now attempting to attract business once more by hosting a weekly ‘tavern crawl’. Once a week, various taverns and pubs all over the land will be showcased to the Horde.

Not to be left out of a bit of business, the goblins of SteamWeedle have also tossed in their own assistance and businesses into this: offering up neutral taverns and pubs for a showcase.

****We ask that players attending please bring characters respectful to lore..in other words leave your half dragon vampire blood elf ranger thats the sister of the Dark Lady at home.****

Date: Every Monday - Next Tavern Crawl is Jan 21 @ The Inn in Ratchet The location for the 28st is not yet decided. The event on the 28th will be in Horde held territory once more.

Server: SteamWeedle (US)

Time: 8pm servertime – Whenever

Locations: Announced weekly and will change each week – Jan 21h is the neutral Inn at Ratchet. Thos goblin port city offers a beautiful view of the ocean by night, and a open space for players to freely roam. As usual, byoe (be your own entertainment) - this event has no fancy gimicks or tricks to it and is simply a time and location for rpers to gather and rp.

Future locations: There will be weekly server posting with each new location and the date that an rp night will be hosted at it. We will TRY and offer a variety of locations, and showcase taverns of all the Horde races. If you wish to suggest a tavern, please do so and include why you think it should be used for a showcase. These rp events will take place every Monday night.

Faction: Most of these weekly rp sessions will be for the Horde, however this week the rp night will be hosted in a neutral tavern so that Alliance and Horde alike might attend. We would like to politely request that players not flag for pvp, and if the urge to duel strikes you, please do so without flagging. The focus of this event is rp, not pvp.

PVP: Currently we request that this event not deal with any pvp concerns….however that’s not to say that a bunch of Undead, Orcs, trolls, and such wont get pissed off when their buzz is crashed by some Alliance and proceed to pick up arms for a bar fight. In the future, there will in fact be a world wide tavern crawl event, which is a pvp event ‘bar fight’. For those driven to ‘bar fight’ at these events…keep it to unflagged dueling. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THIS EVENT FLAGGED FOR PVP.

Staff: Players are encouraged to sign up to rp out being temp staff at the various taverns. With the surge of customers, the taverns and bars will hire additional staff to help the one time event. Bar tenders, bouncers, and waiters are all in demand. It’s rumored that in some of the more seedy and underhanded locations will hire dancers, and table heads for gambling…

If you wish to be signed up as staff, please contact Banshih and she will have a staff ‘support kit’ on hand to the rp volunteers. Concerning gambling in the game, Blizz’s ToS must first be consulted to insure the RP IC gambling games do not violate any rules or ToS.

OOC Objective: To encourage rp, and help players network. This is a simple casual rp gathering with no fancy strings attached or gimmicks. If you want to rp, you come rp: it’s that simple. These gatherings can be very large or very small – regardless of the size it’s still a chance to come out and meet other players. This is ideal for new players, and people looking to find other rpers. If you’re an established rper, please do attend and help the new faces feel welcome on our server.

For more info on how to rp and what rp is check out https://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=3773457814&sid=1 .
