PVE, PST 5/5 and 5/9 needs DPS! (mages, enh shaman, etc)

Hi wow_ladies!

We've had such wonderful luck meeting people from here that I couldn't help but make another recruitment post. We're Machiavellis Cat, a 3+ year old guild on the PVE, PST Uldum server. We're currently 5/5 in Hyjal and 5/9 in BT (RoS dies on Monday!). We raid Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6pm-9pm server time. Attendance isn't mandatory, but I assume people want to attend as much as possible.

Machiavellis Cat likes puns, relatively proper grammar, being on prepared and on time, and kicking ass. Since we only raid 9 hours a week, we believe in making them count. We're looking for people who want a guild home -- not just 'raid loggers', who are silly and snarky, and who understand that 'Ur' is an ancient city and not a word. Since we need DPS, bonus points if you are these things and also bring major pain.

Specifically we'd like a mage and an enhancement shaman, but if you are DPS that is NOT a rogue or a warlock, we could work something out! Machiavellis Cat has a ton of wow_ladies in the guild, and I think we've hit that balance of good people who are also good players.

Check out our website, and happy killing!

PVE EST 5/5 9/9 < Stay Frosty > LF Healers and More!

My female-friendly, laid-back and awesome guild is looking for a few good raiders!  Come join our Tauren-dominated guild, where
the cows roam free and our five member Council has one token non-Tauren.

Tauren guildies can join Our Glorious Leader Mguy's Tauren Liberation Front (Fighting Orcish Domination of the Horde since 2008).

Stinky, stinky Blood Elves can join Disgruntled Council Member Xannith's Thalassian Language Club (1,000 Ways to BBQ Taurens and their Children).

All other races may hide during the Taurahe and Thalassian language wars.

Stay Frosty is a Horde guild on the PvE EST server Duskwood. We are 5/5 MH and 9/9 BT.

Immediately Need
2-3 Healers of the Paladin/Shaman/Priest variety

Long-Term Recruiting
1 Warlock
1 Back-up Feral Druid
1 Back-up Prot Warrior
Other classes: If you are exceptionally geared and skilled, feel free to apply, but our roster is fairly full at this point.

A back-up raider is pretty much a part time raider. They show up when they can and if we have a need we invite them in for the raid.  This is not a full-time, four nights a week, raiding position.

4/5 MH and 4/9 BT experience is an asset, but not required!

A couple of our ferociously talented (and touched in the head) guildies have made some recruiting ads!

My baby guild is growing up! (Thunderhorn, Alliance guild recruiting spam)

As we move into 25-man content, the Pentaverate is now seeking quality applications for the following classes:

Warriors: 2, prot especially.
Paladins: 1 prot, 2 holy.
Shamans: 3 Resto, 1 dps.
Druids: 2 feral tank, 2 dps (feral or boomkin)
Rogues: 2
Warlocks: 1 demonologist, 1 any spec
Priests: 2 healers, 1 shadow
Leftist Radicals: 4
Subsistence Farmers: 3
Somnambulist: 2
Partridge: 1 (in pear tree)

The Pentaverate is a mature, casual guild on the cusp of graduating from Karazhan. We are small by design. Most of us are in our late twenties, early thirties. We prioritize good people and good humor as highly as good players. Despite our casual stance, we are very focused on our raiding progression and on experiencing new content, in addition to maintaining the quality of our play in general and our witticisms in particular. Also, fart jokes.

If you feel like we might be a good fit, please visit thepentaverate.guildportal.com for more information. Please note that the above list is what we're hoping for, and any class is welcome!

Note from me: That's the text as written by my dear friend and GM. I would add that we've got some great guys and some really great women in the guild, and I would love to keep our gender balance as equal as possible, which is why I am posting this here as well as the troll-fest over on the Warcraft forums.

[Horde] Diplomatic Immunity (Thunderhorn US-PVE) is looking for more members!

I'm not in charge of recruiting, but I thought I'd post our recruitment message if there is anyone out there looking for a casual raiding guild.

Diplomatic Immunity is recruiting more players to get back into 25 man raids. We currently run a couple of Kara groups per week, usually do clears in about 2 hours and 45 mins to 3 and a half hours or so. We also clear the first four bosses in ZA.

Visit our site at http://www.immunity-th.com to find out more info or send an in-game tell to:
Moobieburger
Soulsmoker or
Lineaus

And my two cents:

Thunderhorn is CST. Raid times are server times. Most raids start at 7 PM Server Time. We have two late night Kara runs that start at 10PM server time Friday and Saturday.

Applicants must be 18 or older, per the guild leaders.

We're a very laid back guild, maintaining progression while not letting WoW rule our lives.

Come and register on our forums and check us out!

Recruitment Evaluation

Does any have a standard recruit evaluation form/list of questions/requirements they'd be willing to share?

My guild is 6/6 SSC, 3/4 TK, 3/5 MH and 3/9 BT.  We're doing some administrative work, including getting other guildies involved in the recruitment evaluation.  We want to give the guildies a form, or a checklist, of things to look for when running with a potential recruit.

Our current setup is that a recruit runs with us on a five man, then a 10 man, then a 25, to have them in different raiding situations.

Any ideas?

[A] PVE - Blackhand: Insert Guild Name Here Recruiting!

Insert Guild Name Here (IGNH) of Blackhand [A] is currently recruiting Ranged DPS and Healers as well as exceptional players of all classes. We're currently progressing through Hyjal and Black Temple. Our weekly raiding schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7 to 10pm CST (server time). Applicants must be available to raid as many of these nights as possible.

We are a casual raiding guild, which is a fun and challenging balance. We don't go after world-firsts or raid for hours on end, but we do keep an emphasis on steady guild progress. At raid time, we focus on getting things done. We are most interested in applicants who show excellent knowledge of their class and raid encounters. Having the appropriate spec, gear, and consumables to get your job done is expected. We would expect applicants to have 25-man raid experience. Pre-BC raid knowledge is a plus (ideally BWL and AQ40)--many of us cut our teeth on Molten Core.

We're also a family of players--some of us have played together for several years--who respect and care for each other. We have members who have been in the guild for years and new folks who have been around for six months but fit in like they've been around forever. Therefore, we are looking for applicants who are mature and want to be the next friend we make. Also, we prefer applicants who can digest the odd "off-the-wall" joke. Guild chat and raid chat frequently contain adult language and themes (but almost never leet speak!).

IGNH is one of the oldest guilds on Blackhand, and has become a home for many smart, mature, fun people. We value both skill AND personality in our members. IGNH is stable and relatively drama-free. Our forums are very active and a great way to get to know us during the application process.

If you are applying from off-server, we recommend getting to know us better before transferring. Please talk to an officer about observing a raid or two via Ventrilo and perhaps joining on an alt first to get to know us. A good personality fit is very important to all of our happiness!

If this sounds like you, and you'd be excited to wear our guild tag, then please! contact us in-game or via email. Questions welcome.

Regards,
The IGNH Officers

I could ramble on, because that's what I'm known to do, but I will try and keep all my questions short and to the point! *stern nod*

1) At level 64. Boyfriend at level 68. We're attempting to reach 70 together, he says he'll stop levelling at 69 at just twink in the BGs for a while. I need some way to reach him quickly- emphasis on quick, as I get roughly 3 hours on weekdays of free time, let alone WoW time.

Best places to level, in order, in the Outlands? Finished Hellfire, moved on to Zangarmarsh and Terrokkar, we're supposed to be levelling in Nagrand only with each other.

2) I've caved- I'm going to ditch my love of polearms and two-handers (sniffle) and go for a one hand sword and shield combo. I'm doing more PUGs lately and NO ONE wants a non-tanking, non-DPS Warrior in their group (I'm basically CC/off-tank, but again, no one wants that). I'm an epic phail tank.

What is a good sword/shield for me at level 64/65ish? Where to get?

Also, should I go prot or fury? Nobody likes me as an arms warrior. D:

3) Recruiting! Mok'Nathal server, Alliance side, [Utilitarian League].

-4 bank tabs
-50+ members (I won't lie, some are alts or inactive...lately we seem to have at least 8 online people at a time, which is growing as we get more people :D)
-Casual; raiding may start soon as there are about 5-ish people about to reach 70. Will only be casual raids all the same, and probably full of giggling instead of yelling.
-Even divide of guys and gals (there are a bunch of gals from this comm there ;D)
-Very little dramallama if any
-Much fun and funny
-Very helpful
-Own a private Vent server

If you're looking for a guild that you can kick back and relax in, get help in, chat with people and joke around in, then let me know. We'd love to have more people (guys included!).

A shot in the dark...

Are any PVP guilds recruiting DPS (BM hunter, combat swords rogue) that raid on a PST schedule?

Long story short: I left a big guild with my "friends" only to have them explode on me and insult me to go back to the same guild, which they completely bash me in, and leave me in a guild with my husband, just the 2 of us. We're both ZA ready, and I've been told I'd be good in SSC/TK as well. Currently we are housed on Gurubashi but would consider transferring.

Any tips and tricks for recruiting?

I am an officer in a recently formed guild - we're less than two weeks old. We have a core base of about 20 very active members who range in level all the way from new characters to level 70. We are alt-friendly (or should say alt-crazy?) so the core membership has characters in just about every level range to aid with member leveling. We are primarily a leveling / social guild (which I realize are probably a dime a dozen), and we are looking to start recruiting.

Never having done anything even remotely like this before, I have a few questions:

(1) Should we wait to start attempting to recruit until our website is up? How important is a website when you're not talking end game / raiding guilds?

(2) I'm not noob-ish enough to think that the fact that we do have a guild bank and a tabard are actually really exciting selling points (although we do have both those things), but I also can't think of anything that is a huge selling point. I mean, there are the things that are important to me (we're active, we're mature, we're helpful, etc and so forth), but what guild recruits by saying "we're childish, selfish and never on - come join us!"?? In other words, I feel like I'm just going to be saying the same thing that EVERY OTHER start-up guild out there is saying. What points should I be talking up to potential members?

(3) Where have you had the most success recruiting? The official WoW forums, message boards, in communities like this, on your guild website, in game? I don't even know where to start, really. I am appalled by the idea of just sending toons to starter areas and trying to recruit everyone I see, and I think the rest of the guild would also agree that that is a bad idea. I've been encouraging my guildmates to "recruit smart", but I'm not even really sure how to do that (other than the recruiting I've done so far of people I know IRL).

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

PvE-EST 5/5 9/9 < Stay Frosty > LF Holy Priests, Resto Druid and Resto Shaman!

My fabulous, funny and friendly guild is looking for a few healers!  I know there are lots of skilled players in wow_ladies, so I hope some of you will give my post a gander.

As for why we're recruiting a whole whack o' healers, two of our long-standing priests have recently decided to cut down on their play time.  One is retiring from raiding after a long career, and the other is going to part-time raiding due to a new work schedule.  We don't eat our healers alive, we just suddenly need more healy friends!

Stay Frosty is a Horde guild on the PvE EST server Duskwood. We are 5/5 MH and 9/9 BT.

Current Recruitment Needs
- 2 Holy Priests
- 1 Resto Druid
- 1 Resto Shaman
- Other classes: If you are exceptionally geared and skilled, feel free to apply, but our roster is fairly full at this point.

[A] Eldre'Thalas T5 Guild LF Allies

this summer has been utterly brutal to raiding guilds on our server. half the big names have either disbanded or stopped raiding.  we're seeing it in our guild too.  a few months ago, we had large wait lists for SSC/TK runs, but now we rarely can scrape together 25 people, let alone 25 who have the gear & experience to tackle T5.  we're looking to pool our raider base with other guilds in the same progression range (T4 farm, 2/6 SSC, 1/4 TK, 4/6 ZA) to be able to tackle 25 mans again.  if this sounds at all interesting to you, contact me and we can talk feasibility / logistics.  we're also recruiting most classes if anyone is looking for a new home (see website for more info).

First, I wanted to thank you all for the advice ya'll offered back when I was debating what to do with my 70 druid. Under the suggestion on many, I left my baby guild in the hands of a close friend and took Ena my b/f's guild. More behind here )

Initech of Area 52 [Horde] Recruiting!

Here is our WOW forum post.
I'm pretty new to everything but, I figured I'd see if any of you ladies would be interested because we're in desperate need of a few more people to fill in the holes we have. = /
We're a pretty fair, helpful and laid back guild and everyone has a pretty great sense of humor.
Wednesday and Saturday are our kara runs to try to get everyone geared and Sundays are progression runs for ZA[3/6].

I'm not sure how many of you are even on Area 52 or horde for that matter but, like I said..we're in real need so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Also..free red swing line staplers to new recruits. ; D haha.

[A] PVE - Doomhammer 5/5 Hyjal 9/9 Black Temple LOTS of stuff!

Are you interested in seeing high end content and not sure where to go? Relic is currently recruiting all kinds of classes to come enjoy the remainders of Black Temple and Hyjal while we make our push into Sunwell! We raid MST (server time) from 7pm-10:30pm with invites beginning at 6:30pm. We currently have a 4 day raiding schedule, Tues-Fri. We have a very female heavy raid team and we have recruited successfully from WoW Ladies before. :)

*Elemental Shaman
*Resto Shaman
*Shadow Priest
*Holy Priest
*DPS Warrior
*BOOMKIN!*

I can answer questions/go over your gear with you until Friday eveningish in game as Ithaca or here on wow_ladies on this post, but then I'm off to Sweden/Denmark for two weeks. You can contact Jenabel in game if you want to discuss recruitment while I'm away. You are also always welcome in vent during raids to hear how we interact and see if this would be a good fit for you.

our recruitment cartoon since it worked so well last time xD )

If you are not one of the classes listed and are interested in applying to Relic, just hop on here and talk to me or send Jenabel a tell in game! :)

[A-PvE] Nether 5/6 Sunwell recruiting!

Nether of Sen'jin-US is recruiting! We need the following classes at this time:

Shadow priests (2-3) - Please for the love of god apply. Gear is a COMPLETE non-issue. The only criteria we currently have for our shadow priest apps is 1) be level 70, 2) can attend raids 4-6 days a week (see edit below), and 3) isn't a complete mouthbreather. Seriously, your character can be naked and we'll take you. We'll give you cookies and fawn over you. Just apply! Please. *puppy eyes*

Destruction warlock (1-2) - We also have a rather high need for skilled warlocks. Gear isn't super important here, either, but t5+ is recommended. Again, if you have less than that, please don't let it stop you from applying.

Restoration shaman (1-2) - Who isn't? Gear requirements would be similar to what we're looking for in warlock apps.

Feral druid (1) - This is the only class we are currently recruiting with a strict gear requirement. You need to be t6+ and ready to tank Sunwell bosses.

Mage (1) - We have a mid-level need for a mage. Gear requirement would be similar to what we're looking for in warlock apps.

We raid MTWRSS 7-11PM CST (6-11PM weekends). Friday is our off night. We're a pretty cool group, I think, and definitely welcoming to female members. Nether is a top 20 US and top 50 world guild. I know some people are intimidated by things like that because they think they won't be able to keep up. Please don't be. We can tell if someone is skilled at their class regardless of their gear level. We can (and will) give you gear if you need it. We can't give people skill.

So if you are alliance and one of those classes (especially shadow priests!) please drop by our website and fill out an application. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them. You can comment on this thread or contact me in-game on Kalmia, Lunä (alt-0228), or Valkyrea.

EDIT: We have filled our rogue position, but are now looking for an addtional mage and shaman for our roster. To those who have expressed interest, but say that a six day raid schedule is too much, please apply anyway. We don't require 100% attendance (that would be insane). We are trying to build a roster of shadow priests large enough so that it's perfectly okay for some of them to only raid 3-4 days of our schedule. I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear initially, but I'm new at being in charge of this recruitment stuff. :P In conclusion, just apply! We can work with you and your schedule!

A - PvE - T5/T6 Looking for one awesome healer!

Hi folks! I know there are a lot of healers in this community, so I thought I'd post this up here. In a couple of weeks one of our best healers is being claimed by real life, and it's up to me to find someone to fill his spot!

My guild is 4/5 Hyjal and 5/9 BT. We raid Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6-9pm PST, and usually run SSC/TK or Kara or ZA once or twice a week too for fun. I am going to be totally honest: gear does not matter a whole ton. Class does not matter a whole ton (the fellow you'd be replacing is an Imp DS priest, if that helps any). What does matter is that: you love to heal, you know how to not stand in the fire, you are nice and geeky, and you are looking for a new guild home!

We're not just a raiding guild .. we're also kind of an online family for people. I'd love to add a new person who not only can heal like crazy but who also is eager to make new friends and really be a part of the team. I believe that a guild can be full of good people who are also good players. :) We're mostly older, so we understand about real life. Also, since we raid only 9-11 hours a week we also know how to make every minute of them count. We even have at least three folks from wow_ladies in the guild!
