My Paladin has been jumping between specs for the past few weeks. Tanking for heroics and normals, healing in Kara. I heal in Kara because my friends want Kara runs to be fast and easy so they get the best tanks they can. Fair enough, I get all the tanking drops so eventually I'll be able to tank for them easy enough ^^

I've managed to get her defence capped entirely through gear and under my boyfriends advice I've gemmed for stamina. I'm not uncrushable atm though, but that's not a problem until I tank raid bosses right? One thing I was wondering about is that I get so many different people telling me so many different things... The thing I'm moust curious about now is the tanking gauntlets from maiden (so sorry I can't like them, can't do stuff like that at work), with the +4 block as the gem set bonus. I know blocking is important for paladins, but is +4 block important enough for me than my two +12 stam gems?

I'm working on my gear enchants as well. I was thinking of block rating (not value) on my shield to help my mitigation and be that little bit closer to uncrushable. Is that a good idea?

I can't link my armory as I'm at work, but if any of you lovely ladies have the time, my character is Alixiel on Ravenholdt EU. I'd like any input about gems, gear and enchants.

I haven't bothered enchanting blue items, and I'm waiting for an enchater with stam on boots to log on so they can do that for me.

Anyway, the real point of this post was to say how happy I am!

I decided that I wanted to have a challenge last night tank wise, so I PuGed MGT normal (it's a challenge for me at least). We only had 3 wipes! I was so happy!

One that was my fault as I pulled a pack and a patrol at the same time, second was during the third boss when the last add standing feared me and pulled another pack (luckily the add died before we wiped) and final one on Kael.

I've done the isntance as a warlock and just destrotyed it (have T5 geared people in that place on normal is easy mode!), but I was really pleased to have it go so smoothly on my alt!

Heroic MagT

The most horrible instance I've ever been in. I detest healing it as a resto shaman. DETEST it. I flat out refuse to heal it sometimes.

This morning, I logged on quick to check something on my shammy and a guild mate asked if I wanted to run it. I hesitated, then thought, "What the hell." So we grabbed a guild tank and rogue, then conned the tank's brother into coming.

Group composition: Feral druid tank, 2 rogues, 1 shadow priest, and a resto shaman healer.

Recipe for fail? HELL NO. We cleared the place in less than an hour, no wipes. And only two of us in BT/MH gear (one rogue and me). I was so shocked that I had to share. I really hate that place, but this run just goes to show that skill > all. What an awesome way to start my day. :)

I have never, in a year and a half of playing this game, encountered a fight that leaves me trembling, in tears, feeling like I'm absolutely a shit player. At least, I hadn't.

And then I met a six-armed arena bitch named Priestess Delrissa.

Cutting the rest out of courtesy, and because there will probably be swearing. )

Thanks for letting me rant...I'm actually this close to putting in a freaking ticket and letting some poor GM know exactly how I feel about this stupid fight. I doubt it'd to any good, but I'd feel better. >.<

Finally 70!

So Saturday I ran Sethekk and did a TON of quests in BEM. At 5AM I was 95% to 70, and I just couldn't go to sleep without hitting it! I did the quests where you have to pull named ogres with beer to avoid their elite, sober guards, then helped the boy get his ogres drunk. I turned in the quests to the Vindicator lady, and DING! I squealed, I danced, I had the biggest grin on my face. This is my first 70, after all.

My first trip to MrT )

Anyway, now that I'm 70, far from feeling like the game is over, I feel overwhelmed with things to do. Dailies, rep grinds, instances, getting ready for Kara/ZA, then Gruul/SSC (which our raiding alliance is in). The only thing I've done is get my regular flier. I wish I could find a guide - not a list of things that are available to do, but like a levelling guide, but for 70s. 0.o

Vexallus Wallpaper

Hey ladies!

I just ran Magisters' Terrace for the first time the other day, and was really impressed and took a couple screenshots.  I turned one into a wallpaper.  If people are interested enough, then I'll go ahead and make a wallpaper for all of the bosses in Magisters' Terrace.  Size is for 1440x900, but you can just chose to center it if your desktop is smaller.

first impressions of magisters' terrace?

SSC was cancelled, so, what else was there to do but go run Magisters' Terrace?

Oh, and die, repeatedly. I was with folks with whom i've run Karazhan, and we wiped continually on trash pulls. And *then* learned that there's no one to do repairs on Quel'Danas until that's unlocked.

My first impression? This is not just a new Steamvaults or Shattered Halls. Normal mode seems to me to have almost heroic difficulty. The mobs laugh at CC and aggro management, and hit hard. A number of people i know were insisting in a huff that they wouldn't be back (eh, i think they'll be back) but between the lag in the staging area, and broken mods, and low framerates (i was down to 2 fps at one point in the instance) i think there was a general current of frustration.

ETA: how about a quel'danas or MT tag? ETA 2: Thanks!
