I just got my new computer in. =D
I am re-installing WoW, and I just noticed something. My BC CD is scratched. :O
Do I have to re-buy BC? or can I download it off the website? What do I do?

Any ladies camping out the ticket buying queue tomorrow? I will be, and I wish you all luck!

Also, if anyone who has already bought their tickets has any advice or tips to queue faster, I will send you much e-hugs and cookies.

Please note that this weekend Blizzard Billing will be closed Monday, May 25, 2009 for Memorial Day. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday. Game Masters cannot resolve any billing issues (including compromised accounts you do not have control of) as they do not have access to customer billing information.

The Game Master department will be open and functioning as normal.

ETA: Contrary to what's been claimed elsewhere, Reythur (<3) posted to the CSF to say thus:

We wanted to wish all of our customers a safe and happy Memorial Day. Both Technical Support and Billing and Account services will be open for the holiday on Monday, May 25th, during our normal hours from 8am - 8pm PDT. The Game Masters will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as usual.

So, I got an email today telling me my account had been locked due to Financial Disputes filed by the bank. There's been no action taken on my credit - I called the bank to ask - so what's the deal? Is Blizz just on crack?

Has anyone had this happen before?

The payment went through on the 15th, totally fine, and yeah. Doublechecked with the bank, they've not filed any dispute, despite what Blizz's email is telling me.

Am I the only person who is disappointed with Yogg-Saron's and C'thun's models in game? I never got to raid C'thun at 60, so I had this picture in my head of what the boss was like gathered on what I'd heard.

I'd never looked at screenshots or anything, and what I had a picture of... I'd heard you fought just his eye, not C'thun himself, and I heard about the eye beams and a couple other things. My vision of what C'thun and the fight was, was this huge, dark room. A massive eye floats near the top of the room, staring down at you unblinkingly. It's glowing, and pulsing. You engage and the eye flies around, huge beams of red cutting swaths in the floor. When I finally did him at 70...it was disappointing.

The same for Yogg-Saron. I heard about the visions, and I imagined this HUGE room, with doorways all around, and one vision in each (at different times). The floor is cracked in many places, rubble everywhere, tentacles curling across the floor with bodies clutched in their claws as weapons. There are insane people (humans, undead, elves, what have ye) in the corners of the room for trash - they're gnawing on bones and speaking in the language of the Old Gods. And...Yogg screenshots? disappointing.


I want something really epic! Ulduar's landscaping is fine, and so is AQ40. Just not the bosses...! I want a really...gritty, real instance for Icecrown. Massive, undead horrors cobbled together - I mean, like, Nerubians and humans and Taunka and animals put together - and just... I mean, the Lich King is an insane, depraved shithead. He's not going to spare our delicate sensibilities!

I guess what I'm thinking about is that some of the stuff's not so realistic as it should be.

Apparently, fifteen bucks a month may soon not be enough to cover playing ad free anymore - it certainly apparently can't pay for ad free forums already.

Now doesn't that make the merging of wow and battle.net accounts (mind, this little gem is neatly tucked away in the battle.net ToU so most people will never see it) and the recent shift in add-on policy make sense?

I just got a text message from my friend about ten minutes ago saying "Oh god I hope you didn't link your account to Battle.net because now I can't log into WoW."  Sure enough, I head to the WoW forums and there's his post in Technical Support going "OH GOD HELP."  By the looks of things, it's not an isolated issue.

I hadn't really planned to do this myself, but I wanted to warn those who might be thinking about it.

lots of posts lately about the excessive or just existence of queue times when before either none existed or were somewhat tolerable (?).

antonidas US has so very rarely ever had a queue time of more than maybe 12 possibly twice in the past year and a half I've played. until now. and not just like "it'll be a few seconds til you're in" queue, but the "take a number, take a seat, grow some cobwebs" kind of wait. like, 300+ position in the queue. one time, I was 667 in the queue. O.o 

I thought it was the xpac. then I thought it was the rush to dk ourselves silly. then I thought it was winter veil. but wtf is with this, all over every realm everywhere, and not just to get into the realms but to get into instances as well?

really, seriously. I'd love to know your realms, your position in the queues and the wait times you're experiencing. cause I know for every person who's posting about the mind-liquefying waits there have to be ten more who are so pissed off and they're not posting, or playing either for that matter.

I would like to thank everyone for all your input on my last post regarding the name of a guild I had an idea for. I am not going to name it that, I decided to go with Sinners and Saints instead.

Either way I come here once more with a problem.

Just today my fiancee tried to upgrade my account online to WotLK. He entered his credit card number and clicked submit... it was supposed to take him to the download page but it didn't do that. I am not quite sure what page it took him to, cause I was not here, but nothing happened. It wouldn't let him start downloading.

He looked on his checking account and it shows it as the charge being pending.

He left for work, shortly after, so I looked again on his account and it had charged him TWICE for the upgrade. And they were still pending. I can not get it to let me download or anything. When I try to go to my account and download it, it wants the credit card info again.

I have submitted an email to Blizzard support, I am just waiting for them to get a hold of me. But I wanted to come here and see if you guys had any ideas or have come across this problem yourselves.

So yesterday, my fiance tells me that my real life friends all decided to move to the realm Fizzcrank. Fine and dandy, I don't mind if we move as well but I have a TON of stuff in my guild bank I would like to bring with me. I give some to my fiance because there really isn't much room in three of my toons bags. Five minutes later, he logs off and transfers to Fizzcrank. I finish up putting my things into their proper places and get ready to log off when my fiance tells me....

"They took Alexstrasza off the list".

This was maybe a minute or two before I was going to transfer. I got stuck in a realm by myself, all my friends transferred, along with my fiance. I talked to a GM in game, emailed blizzard, and called them and of course they give me a "Sorry, we met the transfer quota. You have to shell out the 25 dollars that you don't have per toon if you want to transfer".

I really hate you blizzard.

My computer has been having issues for the past month, so I haven't been able to play WoW since the Brewfest events were going on.

I pay my subscription automatically every month, so I've got basically an entire month that I've paid for but haven't been able to play. It's not Blizzard's fault at all, but is there a way I can get the month credited back to me?

After digging deeper, I did look at some links in the WoW forum about the title "Champion of the Naaru". According to one of the staff from Blizzard, the title is STILL available BUT once you are beyond lvl 70, you cannot obtain it.

Players can still work towards this title even after patch 2.3 is released. It's very likely, however, that we'll be hard capping the title so that it cannot be obtained once you're higher than level 70.

Blizzard wins $6M in WOWGlider suit.

Though the article did make a misprint, calling WOWGlider an addon when it's actually an .exe file that runs outside of the actual program, it's good to hear that Blizzard was able to nail these guys for monetary damages.  Will this means that the company that makes WOWGlider will disappear?  Honestly not sure.  Guess it might depend on what happens next year when they return to court again on the remainder of the charges concerning whether the creater of WOWGlider broke the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

All of the Blizzard servers in the Seattle data center are borked at the moment - people are being booted from instances, cannot log into instances, stuck in instances, booted off the server, cannot retrieve their characters. This is pretty much the Emberstorm and Whirlwind Battlegroups for those of you that are familiar. If you want to chill out and chat, the IRC channel is still running smoothly ;)

I know this sounds antsy, and you'll probably hate me for asking, but I don't know the etiquette in this situation.

I posted yesterday about accidentally deleting my Tailoring. I had contact a GM the night before and he said he'd escalate my ticket, and have a Specialist contact me, but not to edit it or change it for any reason or it'd put me back in the que.

ok, so I had hoped this Specialist would have contacted me by now. I even hoped that i'd log on when I got home and it'd just be there.

Well, it wasn't, and i've gotten no e-mails or messages in game.

is this a normal wait time? or does it vary depending on issue and...stuff? Would it be ok to open another ticket and talk to another GM about the status? or should I just cool my heels and wait for it? (serves me right for deleting it in the first place >>;)

ARGH... i'm just worried that even though the GM said I was eligible for a reimbursement, that after such a long time i'll get a Specialist that'll say it's been too long >.
