Wow_Ladies: Girl Gamers of World of Warcraft

So I decided that maybe this would be a good way to meet some WOW Ladies and benefit us all.

So, are you level 69-71? Alliance? On Northrend (PVE)? Would you like to do Utgarde Keep? Well come on down.

I'm not saying alliance becasue i've met plenty of jerks on both sides.  and becasue I have alliance toons myself. but I really really hate specific allies right now.

I really really hate them right now. and I hate it that there's nothing i can do about their behavior.  why do people have to be such duchebags?  what exactly promts someone to spend their time deliberately making other people miserable?

thank you all for the suggestions.  i actualy reloged after reading the first few to see if I can report them, but apparently some hordies had enough and the jerks were no longer there.  but there were a lot of bones decorating the circle around the monument :P

I figured it would be a good idea to add to the post count a little bit and make an introductory post.

As you may have noticed, I'm not a lady (nor do I talk like one in the heat of combat). However most of my characters are female and I occasionally (in game of course) claim to be a lot more "girly" than just the pixels on the screen. Why? Perhaps as a self-confidence boost (since it is a known fact that girl gamers are completely awesome) or perhaps just to see how people react.

I started playing on December 20, 2004. If you were to add up the /played time on all my characters (across all realms), I probably would have at least seven 70s by now on my main realm, Terenas (US) (one of the few realms that has been around since beta!). My very first character was a male night elf hunter named Zandrax. I chose night elf because they were my favorite race from Warcraft III. I chose hunter cuz I got to have a pet! :3 My second character was a night elf rogue who I never leveled very far (still only 32!) My third character was the first of many female characters, a night elf priestess named Zendrex. (These two names come from a combination of 2-3 RPG character's names I used to use.) I have another chracter on this realm that I play fairly often, a prettyboi draenei warrior named Vyazanka (ask someone who knows Russian what this means!). My hunter is 70 and has been for a long long time. My priestess just dinged 63 last night. My warrior is 34.

I've been casually looking for a casual guild that isn't cliquey and that does do some raiding. I work from 9am to 6pm EST so I usually only play between 10pm and 1am EST. Terenas is 2 hours behind so that by the time most of my guild comes online and starts grouping, I'm getting sleepy. I'm not interested in moving either of my three "mains" to another realm, but I would consider moving one of my lower, less played characters from either this realm, or one of the over 10 different realms I'm on to a different realm. I'd also be interested in starting a new character and getting some *cough*powerleveling*cough* assistance.

That's me. Time to go see if I can find a Blood Furnace pug with Zen. Laterz! :3

Nothing more exhilarating than a narrow win in Arathi Basin... Though I don't think the Horde is so happy about it. ;)

My only regret is that Achievements aren't implemented yet; I'd rather not have to try for the "We Had It All Along *cough*" one again...

So I was on my merry way to the battle from to do some bgs. Walking down the long hall I see multiple skeletons and a few dead bodies. Make it to the main room and see a dragon. Big wtf for me since this was the first time I had seen it.




My favorite part is the verbal smackdown I got from a level 7 when I asked what was going on lol.

Instability of Dath'remar (US-Oceanic) is currently recruiting. We are a laid-back, friendly raiding guild, with a vision to progress into further end-game content.

Due to current circumstances, we have opened our recruitment to the following classes (although, other classes will still be looked at):

1 x Holy Pally
1 x Resto Druid
1 x Holy Priest
1 x Destro Warlock
1 x Rogue

Last night (or this morning, technically. >.> <.<), my BFF and a buddy decided to do battlegrounds together on our lvl 19 toons. She has a Draenei Ele Shaman, he has a gnome rogue (can't remember what spec) and I have a Draenei Prot Warrior (which, by the by, SUCKS in PVP. Gah, painful.). At one point during one of the battles, some guy whispers me. This is roughly the conversation as I remember it because unfortunately, I didn't SS it since I was fighting and trying not to die.

Him: wow, thx
Me: ?
Him: for letting me die
Me: sorry, I didn't see you
Him: i was the one being killed by 4 horde
Me: it's a bg. everyone's always killed by 4 horde.
Him: yeah, and always some1 standing there doing nothing
Me: look, if you don't like dying, don't bg. i was trying to get their fc
Him: i was killing him

I stopped responding after that because a) it would just feed into the seething I was feeling and b) the more typing we do, the less PLAYING we do and I just wanted to play the damn match. Unfortunately, I was pretty upset after that and it just ruined the whole match for me. I'm always mass rushed by 4-5 Horde, sometimes + pets but I never expect anyone to save me, nor do I complain. If anything, I figure if they're busy attacking me, then they're either not defending their flag, rushing for our flag or attacking our FC.

Anyway. Has anything like this ever happened to you guys?

So I got a beta key. /cheer Rolled a draenei DK on the PvP test realm Lich King. Anyone else playing on this server want to group up and quest? I'm almost level 59 so I'll be doing all of the Hellfire quests. My name in-game is Kayluu.

I am glad to have found a community for ladies who play WoW. I am rather new to LJ. I play both Horde and Alliance, Draenei hunter and Orc hunter. My Draenei's almost 70 >w< lvl 64 at the moment, and my orc is level 32. Well, it's nice to meet you all :)

I primarily run with Horde but I've absolutely fallen in love with my little Draenei Hunter. I made her for group play (my whole household WoWs) and they started up on Dark Iron, a PVP server. The group has since disbanded (they really only started because Blackrock was down) but I'd like to casually level her when I'm not focused on my Troll main.

The problem is I don't necessarily want her on a PvP server. As silly as it sounds I'm loyal to Horde and couldn't see myself suddenly fighting against Hordies with little puntable Gnomes by my side. (No offense to the Alliance/Gnome players but I'm sure a lot of PvPrs get the same feeling for their own faction. ^_~)

She's only Level 15 and I'm thinking about transferring her in the nearish future. I wouldn't mind trying an RP but I am far too new to be knowledgable on lore. PvE would be the best bet.

So my questions to you wonderful people: Are there any recommended PvE servers for Western US/Aus regions? Any that you guys are on? Any guilds looking for casual lowbies? And lastly, is it worth the $25 transfer fee or should I simply recreate her from Level 1 since she's only 15?

I rolled a baby draenei mage on Drakkari, one of the three new Latin American servers that were released today, so I could get away from my home server/faction for a little while and hopefully practice some Spanish :P If anyone else is planning to roll a toon on [A] Drakkari-LA let me know! I'm Quinzel there, and I'd be thrilled to make some friends to play around with there. :)

Hi, I'm Inuki, feral druid on Windrunner (A). (Also a hunter, rogue, and shaman, all 70s, same server... altitis anyone?)

I'm finding myself kind of bored, and wanting a change of pace, and I thought that maybe trying an RP server would fit the bill. I'm also looking into playing a tauren, because I think they're my favorite of the Horde races. But, I've never RPed, so I would like some help.

Insert Guild Name Here (IGNH) of Blackhand [A] is currently recruiting Ranged DPS and Healers as well as exceptional players of all classes. We're currently progressing through Hyjal and Black Temple. Our weekly raiding schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 7 to 10pm CST (server time). Applicants must be available to raid as many of these nights as possible.

We are a casual raiding guild, which is a fun and challenging balance. We don't go after world-firsts or raid for hours on end, but we do keep an emphasis on steady guild progress. At raid time, we focus on getting things done. We are most interested in applicants who show excellent knowledge of their class and raid encounters. Having the appropriate spec, gear, and consumables to get your job done is expected. We would expect applicants to have 25-man raid experience. Pre-BC raid knowledge is a plus (ideally BWL and AQ40)--many of us cut our teeth on Molten Core.

We're also a family of players--some of us have played together for several years--who respect and care for each other. We have members who have been in the guild for years and new folks who have been around for six months but fit in like they've been around forever. Therefore, we are looking for applicants who are mature and want to be the next friend we make. Also, we prefer applicants who can digest the odd "off-the-wall" joke. Guild chat and raid chat frequently contain adult language and themes (but almost never leet speak!).

IGNH is one of the oldest guilds on Blackhand, and has become a home for many smart, mature, fun people. We value both skill AND personality in our members. IGNH is stable and relatively drama-free. Our forums are very active and a great way to get to know us during the application process.

If you are applying from off-server, we recommend getting to know us better before transferring. Please talk to an officer about observing a raid or two via Ventrilo and perhaps joining on an alt first to get to know us. A good personality fit is very important to all of our happiness!

Okay...most of my Alliance toons, as I've certainly mentioned before, are draenei.  (My first serious Alliance character was a shaman, and I got hooked.)  But...there's a downside:  I keep getting asked to heal instances, even when blatantly not suited for it.

Admittedly, that's not as bad as it could be on my priest:  She's mainly shadow, but subspecced holy.  On other characters, it's painful:  They simply have no talents whatsoever invested in being healers.

Those of them that can heal at all, that is.  Heck, I've even had the following exchange happen:

Randomnoob:  can u heal rfk?
Niahrin:  No.
Randomnoob:  y?
Niahrin:  I'm fire-spec.  You would die horribly.
Randomnoob:  plz?
Randomnoob:  plzzzzzzzz?
Niahrin:  No.  Go find someone who's actually a healer!

Admittedly, something bizarrely similar had happened to my shaman before.  The difference is...shaman actually have healing magic.  I think the only draenei I haven't been asked to heal on is my warrior.

Anyone else faced anything like this?

Edit:  The title is on account of the fact that I've heard people online claim that when they roll draenei, they roll female for clothies and male for everything else...or that they roll female for any character who will be primarily a healer.

hello~ i haven't posted here in a long time.. and i apologize if something similar to this was already posted! and yes, i did look around in the tags, but maybe not good enough :\ anyway...

i am looking to reroll for the 4th time and bringing along a few friends of mine:) anyone know of a decent horde server? .. pve and pst preferrably. oh, and at least medium pop, or high. just not full =P thanks in advance for any information!

So I got DCed yesterday, for an extended time, in the middle of a SLabs run.  I decide to check my server's board on the official forums to see if anyone else knows anything about it.  And I happen to see a thread with my character's name on it.

I check it out—some complete stranger is ( flaming me, mostly about my gear. )

Bear in mind that this is a level 33 who's not even on my server.  So I suspect either a troll—and I don't mean Darkspear—or a sock-puppet for someone whom I either /gkicked or told off in the past.

However, by the time that I got to the thread, several people—including a former guildie—had already jumped to my defense.  My own contribution to the thread ended up adding up to "Who the hell are you, and isn't it uncomfortable to sit on your own head like that?"  (I know, it only encourages them.  But I couldn't resist.)

But enough about that...onward and upward.  My guild has been working on a Kara team recently; unfortunately, it hasn't entirely come together.  So those of us who've been able have been...well, I'd say we were PUGging it, but it's a bit more organized than that.  Thus far, we've taken out Attumen, Moroes, the Maiden, the Opera (R&J, dammit...the Wolf drops the only elemental piece in the whole raid) and the Curator; we're working on Nightbane and Shade.  But aside from all the badges that I've picked up between Kara and heroics...last night, these dropped.

So...I now have my first piece of Tier 4.  Unfortunately, I only have one screenshot of us standing over a dead boss.  (When we get Nightbane, you can bet I'll screenshot that!)

Alas, my app to Relic didn't work out (they're full on priests SAD FACE), so I am broadening my search in hopes of finding a new home. I really, really want a new home, and the ladies have never let me down before! So, here I am.

Hi ladies! =D Usually I'm posting about my multiple Horde characters on Cenarius but this post is a bit of a different flavor.

I have RL friends that rolled... errr... Alliance... on Eitrigg. I sort of promised to level a healer to play with them but while they are local time for me (west coast), they play on Eitrigg because all their other RL friends are on the east coast. I mostly only get to play my priestess on Eitrigg late at night... and REALLY late at night by an EST server's standards! I am usually on (when I get a chance to play) anywhere from 9 pm my time to 5 am my time, which is much much later for the EST server, like midnight to 8 am server-time.

I guess what I am looking for is people who play on Eitrigg but play relatively late/early? My husband is also playing a toon with me but LFG is pretty bare when I'm online at the equivalent of the middle of the night for the server!

I have a little draenei priestess, level 36, named Sitara. She is shadow for leveling (I leveled my first priest 1-70 as Disc/Holy) but I love to heal and LOVE to do instances! Anyone who is bored, say hi! Because I am probably questing alone and trying desperately to make myself level this second priest to 70!

I play Alliance on Echo Isles, and I've decided that I would really like to start playing on another server, either faction but most likely Horde. I'd like to find a decently populated PvP or PvE server (I'm not going to touch the RP servers cause I'd probably fail D:), that has quite a few guilds on factions that do a lot of the end game raids, and would most likely raid on to WotLK. This is all in case I decide to lvl said toon all the way to 70 (then to 80) and want to raid. So my question is (you're expecting it, aren't you? =P) can any of you ladies/gentlemen suggest any realms? Thanks for reading!
