err?
So a friend of mine is having this issue... he can play WoW just fine on all of his characters except one, which is his main. He logs on, and it's fine for a while, but then the game lags like crazy and eventually stops and tells him that it's out of memory and doesn't have enough storage. But he has all kinds of space and 3 gigs of ram, and is only running WoW and Vent. He had this problem with all of his characters before, and tried running the repair tool, deleting the WTF folder, reinstalling the game, etc., which fixed the problem on all of his characters but his main. Now it's just his main doing this lagging to a stop thing, and no amount of deleting the folder or the repair tool or anything will fix it.

I seem to recall that someone in this community had a similar issue recently. Can anyone offer advice for me to pass along? Is this something on his end, or is it an issue with the character itself?

Does he have a mod that only the main uses?

That's what I was thinking, mods can leak memory too. I think blizz's interface will tell you how much memory each addon is currently using.

Has he tried running all characters without addons, including his main? Has he also deleted with WBD files (I think this is the cache folder, someone correct me if I'm wrong).

He ran his main without mods at all and it still crashed. He also cleared the cache -- is that what deleting the WBD files is?

He tried running without any mods, and it still did it.

all I can think of that this might maybe sorta kinda in a million years be poor paging file management by windows... but I have never heard of this issue before, to be honest. so unless his computer is giving him the wrong error message or something, I've got nothing. tell him to post on the tech support forums
