So, the game has pretty much become unplayable for me now.My ISP, Optimum Online, seems to be having issues with WoW; and I'm not the only one alone on this matter - There is a whole 15 page thread in the tech support section for it. Apparently it's on WoW's end, not OO's. I'm thinking about stepping away from the game right now and work on something; or maybe a new game; because when you can't talk to NPC's every 5 minutes and have to reboot WoW just to level a alt to do 2v2's with your brother on another server, it gets on your last nerve. At first I thought it was Medivh being mildly retarded; but it's happening on the server me and my brother picked, Ravencrest, as well(We decided to do this for fun over the summer. Since..we're actually getting along.)

Anyone else a disgruntled WoW player right now? I mean, it might not be exactly them(it's apparently because OO's(or other ISP's in the NE region) not a high priority on packets on ATT's network); but it's frustrating. And skimming over the thread, a bunch of other people in the Northeast area with different ISP's have been having lag issues like I have, only on WoW. It's upsetting that I may have to leave a game I like for a while because of this.

(Hope this post made sense. Ear is killing me right now and I'm still trying to resist the doctors.>.> VIVA LA RESISTANCE)

I am having severe issues with WoW lagging. But, it's because my power source is fried in my laptop. I have to get it repaired. *sigh* But in the meantime I have no WoW. I'm rather whiny about it because I don't have much else to do on my nights off but play and...I can't play!

*runs away whining and pouting*

god, I feel your pain as I'm having the same problem with the same provider. honestly - if they don't resolve it by friday, I'm switching back to verison. I even kept the modem..

I'd switch; but we just don't have the money for FiOS and phone because we have that whole 3 deal that OO run's. It'd be too much if we switch to Verizon.

We have the same deal, but it ws only about $20 cheaper then the deal I had with verison (still keeping basic cable package) I switched originaly because yeah, its a bit cheaper and optimum was supposed to be faster but the way things are going, I'm not so sure anymore.... To be honest, I'm also getting occasional browsing the net problems - pages taking too long to load, etc. meh.. its not so bad in the morning, but since raiding in general happens on saturday nights (at least with the guild i want to join)...

ugg, lol

If gas wasn't so much these days; I wouldn't really care and switch. But gas, and electric; plus rent is a pain right now. I'd much rather leave wow for a month; come back with my internet fine again and be saving $20.

Although we don't have a car right now, expenses are still tight.(which is why I pay for wow bi-monthly and with my own income, and not the families.)

Maybe I'm too stingy.>.>

you're not stingy - your frugal and we don't have a car either. between insurance, gas and ridiculous lack of parking in NYC, car is just not an option :(. although, in our case, I'd rather cancel cable TV, then WoW, sicne we barely watch it and wow is still fresh and fun (when its not lagging)

it wasn't so bad this morning, but I'm dreading the situation in a few hours when its going to be 5pm server time, because that's when it really gets bad...

Holy crap, I wonder if this is our problem - we just recently got a HUGE disconnect and then all of sudden having very bad DCs with log-in screens, zoning...and latencies out the arse.

you're in Brooklyn!!!! woot, hello fellow brooklyn wow player and I think it might be. I was reading that thread on wow forums and there are quite a few cable subscribers from Brooklyn having this problem (for several weeks now for some of them)

I'm still not 100 percent sure it is them or just our router (since it happened only VERY recently.) but I am definitely getting a better idea about this now.

More than likely is. It seems to be the NE in general and not just OO; I'm not sure if it concerns Verizon as well. I'm going to have to skim the thread with a finer comb in a few.

there was one person who mentioned verison, but mostly its people with cable connection and its either cablevision or time warner cable, which is basicaly the same company.

according to the most recent update - it might be blizz's problem, and there are several links posted to threads that have actual technician replying on them (at least one of those threads is supposed - I haven't had a chance to read it yet)

I'm more or less thinking it's AT&T, the middle man that Bliz uses; which really is Blizzard's issue and not OO's or any other ISP in the New England/North Eastern area. Blizzard needs to get up, call them; and find out whats going on and find ways to fix it. Someone mentioned it being the Boston Data Center, and that isn't all true because although I've been posting on my rogue; I haven't been using the Boston Data Center in a bit. It's just the provider Bliz uses for their server's internet connection. BAH...

Here's to it getting fixed though.;/
