WoW voice actors
Some of the comments below about Kael'thas and Illidan got me thinking...

I am a sucker for great voices (I think someone's speaking voice can easily be the sexiest thing about them), and the producers of WoW certainly got some amazing voice talent into the game. I would love to find out the names of the actors and perhaps see what other work they have done. Does anyone know where (if anywhere) they are credited? WoWWiki names a few of them, but only a few.

I'm particularly curious about Nexus-Prince Shaffar, Barnes the stage manager, and the night elves (both male and female). All of them are simply awesome.

And while we're on the topic, please tell me I'm not the only one who has repeatedly right clicked on a male Night Elf vendor just to hear them purr, "My goods are of the highest quality." (Ohh yeah, I just BET they are, you sexy thing you...)

The thing that freaks me out is the the male human vendors sound /exactly/ like my brother in law, and they even say the same sort of things that he does.

I have a guildie who's really good at imitating laughs. He can do the female orc, human male, and gnome male death. It's seriously awesome.

I do an awesome gnome female.... my guildies tell me I'm not allowed to play my gnome and talk on vent at the same time as my voice naturally just slips into it. Though I guess its kind of cute to have a cute little gnome cursing up a storm sometimes.

I've heard a rumor that Michael Dorn (Worf on Star Trek; The Next Generation) provided some voice acting for World of Warcraft, but I can't really confirm this, nor have I heard any NPCs in the game who sound like him.

lol this made me laugh a lot ^^ how cute!

I also think about voices that way. Unfortunately in our german version most of the voices are not that interesting *sigh*. For example female bloodelves sound ridiculous!

My favourite German voice is the last boss in Blood Furnace. That guy sounds seriously in-character.

Michael Dorn DID do some voices, however they're most likely just mosnters and such as he's listen on IMDB.com as "various."
Some other voices?: Tony Jay (Megabyte from Reboot, for one) is the narrator for the race openings, and even Chris Metzen himself, Blizzard's lore-master extraordinaire, got some "various" voice credits listed.
The voice for the Blood Elves used by players (like the sillies and such) are done by Cam Clarke, the same guy who did Simba's singing voice in the second Lion King movie.

Voice actors = LOVE.

I tend to keep up with voice actors a lot as a fan of animation in general, and once you develop an ear for voice actors, it's easy to pick up. As soon as the event started the very first time I was in Black Morass I was all, "Y helo thar Cam Clarke!" Same with the Shaffar. If you wanna know what else he's done, here's his IMDB page. But sorry, ladies...he's not into chicks. >.>

Michael Dorn is totally some of the generic Tauren male NPCs.

And I propose that they can never introduce a new race now that Tony Jay is dead. v.v

The voice acting in BC is awesome. I love how every instance has some sort of voice acting now... you can even hear Kazzak shout when you're in the zone and someone engages him. I don't know where they're credited though - perhaps the WoW credits might have some names? But they probably won't have paired them up with who they voiced.

I have to say though, the voice that sticks to me the most is still Majordomo Executus in MC. "Stay your attack, mortals, I submit, I SUBMIT!"

... yeah, I raided wayyy too much.

My two favorites are:

"Everything has a price." (smutty! thoughts! every! time!)

and

"Closer ... come Closer .. and BURN!"

I also get a kick out of the "married couple" in Arcatraz ... and Skyriss's BElf assistant ... and Warp Splinter .. and the sound effects when you stand close to Murmur ...

I like that sadistic first boss in Shattered Halls - "Don't take that one - he's *weak*!" The voice acting for many of the characters is superb - it really adds a lot of flavor to the cities and major encounters.

OMG thank you! im glad im not the only one! lately ive had this crazy infatuation with NE males. hee hee.

and i came across this post by chance through google when doing a search on NE voices! so i had to join :)
