I really want a Springpaw Lynx for my Draenei hunter! Is there any way to get to the belf starting area, though, that doesn't involve the translocation orb in Undercity? Because, um, that might present some problems *scrapes foot*

EDIT: I have now confirmed that the translocation orb, while easily accessible, does NOT work for Allies. It remains to run like a little blue bugger through the Plaguelands; wish me luck, ladies.

EDIT II: I DID IT! Screenshot is here! After dying however many times in Plaguelands, I finally got through the portal and from there it was pretty much a breeze. There was this nice Tauren called Shack who helped me out at the finish... if any of you ladies play Horde on Lightbringer, could you thank him from me?

That said, I wanted to share my new blog with you guys. It's about the aesthetic value of WoW, and sharing that with people who might not think of the game in those terms. I love taking "artistic" screenshots in-game, so now I have a place to share them! I just started the blog this week, but I hope to update every other day or so.

I'll probably even have those silly "daily outfit" posts that people are doing so much in fashion blogs these days, but with my characters. XD Yay for tailoring!

A question for you lovely, helpful ladies. :)

Inuki is my bear. (Depending on when you look, you may or may not see raid-buffs, but she'll be in bear gear for sure.) Fully raid-buffed (kings, imp fort, imp mark, flask, food, no shaman totems because we don't have shamans to spare), 19.6k health, 32k armor, 45% dodge, to round the numbers off a bit. I have 5/5 T4 and am wearing 4/5, which gives me 1400 armor in bear for the 4p bonus.

I have enough badges to buy Handwraps of the Aggressor, and almost enough for Tameless Breeches, but not enough for both. Fully gemmed and enchanted, they are both upgrades - more dodge, more stam, more AP - but I'd lose the armor from the set bonus.

My question - does it make sense to wait and buy both badges pieces at once, keeping the 4p bonus until I'm ready to replace both? Or should I get one or the other (and which one first), and not worry about the armor bonus?

For bonus points - is there anything you would change about my gemming/enchanting that would make me a better tank? I've fallen behind the other tanks in my guild on Be Imba, and I'm not entirely clear on why. (It doesn't help that most of them are plate, and the only other bear has PVP gear, which makes comparing hard.)

I hit 68 today. I just had to post to express my utter joy at finally being able to fly. I suppose it's small, but having the freedom of flight form makes me an all new level of happy.

My baby prot Pally just hit 50 :) and Avenger's Shield has made the slow grueling process of leveling Prot 100% worth it :)
I decided to level Prot cause my former roomie said I wouldn't be able to stand it, and I'm nothing if not stubborn.  It's taken me a good long while, mostly because I took about a 1 month break from leveling her when I decided to push my Shaman up from 45 to 70 in about 3 weeks ^^;;; (may not seem like it was a very fast push, but keep in mind I was leveling resto)
But now Calico is level 50 :) and is a fairly uber tank if I do say so myself :)  though pugs tend to make me want to tear my hair out for the most part, they've made me learn how to keep stuff people and on me :)

My biggest issue though is how freaking LONG it takes people to go from the creation of the group to actually starting the instance, I once made a lame excuse and dropped a group because the hunter would not come and join us until his 2-hand sword skill was maxed out, and no one else in the group seemed to see this as a bad thing. With higher level groups, people tend to drop everything and come, sometimes someone needs to kill one more blood knight, or run and hand in a few things on the Isle, and that's fine, but in low level groups I've had people 3/4 of the way through a level who want to ding before they start *shakes head*

but I shall forgo any further ranting as the point of this post is to share my happy at having one of the dorkiest, but most awesome skills in the game :)

My gear is *finally* starting to become less tragic! I saved up my badges and bought the Essence of the Martyr, and saved up to get the Belt of the Long Road crafted!

I got the Staff of Infinite Mysteries last night in Karazhan! It had been a real poopy night for me raidwise. My computer for some reason was NOT picking up internet, so as we were in the raid on the Huntsmen, my connection kept getting fuzzy and wonking out. My boyfriend, a healer in the raid, offered to give up his spot and allow me to use his computer (since I need the gear more and he has been there loads of times) so, I get off and the RL switched things around so that I could stay and we grabbed another dps and finished up. We did Nightbane and Prince and called it a night. I got my drop off Curator, and I was sooooooooooooooo happy! :) All night no cloth drops had happened at all, and the staff I had been idolizig for so long dropped and I WON with a 95 roll.

So my question, whats a good enchant to put on this staff? I'm looking for spell damage/shadow damage if at all possible.

I did this last night but it was.. kind of late/early so I deleted it XD I am making a guild of my own on Bronzebeard (Alliance) and wondered if any of you ladies could help me get it up and running by signing my charter :) I am Trickery, a rogue with a purple hat and a striped kitty in Northshire!! So last night I became... A WOMAN.

...to be a tank at 70.

I love being Feral too much to go healing, and I really like the idea of being super sturdy. I have a leatherworking friend who is going to make me Heavy Clefthoof set, and I'm attempting to get to Exalted with Cenarion Ex ASAP so I can get a couple items from them (aside from that lovely hippogryph), namely the Earthwarden.

I've been looking for some guides, but I seem to keep finding out-dated ones. I have ZERO tanking experience as well, since I was always healing in every instance run. Does anyone know some up-to-date guides on beginner tank gearing for heroics, and some advice on rotation/tactics?

I know experience is the best teacher, but I really don't want to be so bad that I cause my groups major problems.

I just dinged level 58 on my Shaman and wooooI love her!  I've been playing WoW for two years and playing her is just too much fun.  I've been toying with the idea of doing a screenshot diary of her journey to level 70 but we'll see :)

In other news.... (and this seriously made me WTF all morning LOL)

I love how being a Draenei excludes you from being able to pick Aldor or Scyer (at least right off the bat). I'm sure I've been exposed to this information at some point but being a new Alliance player (and a little naive :P ) I was a tad perplexed >:|  I guess the GOOD news is Aldor is actually the best choice for me anyways, but that's not the point!

Has anyone else done a screenshot diary?

character transfer.  specificaly character transfer between accounts rather then between servers.  Unless you are the owner of both accounts - blizzard will not support the transfer.  no its not just the last name - its both names.  or if you used different names, you have to prove that they all belong to you.  you cannot transfer characters between family members etc.

I keep on reading here people saying that only last name has to be the same, but its simply not true.  I've been thinking I may be crazy, but I've double and tripple checked and here's a direct quote from blizzard with a link to support it.

Account Restrictions:

- Transfers between accounts can be done only if you are the subscriber on both accounts. (We do not support the transfer of characters between friends, guild mates, or family members.)

if you manage to do it between two people with the same last name but different first name you either got lucky with a customer service rep, or you've done in before referenced rules went in effect (I haven't been playing this game from when it came out so i cannot claim to know what was happening before I bought it).

you can also have two (or more) accounts registered to the same person, and you'd be playing one while the person in question would be playing the other and that way you can transfer characters with no problem, however - that would technicaly be account sharing, which is against TOS.

edit:  apparently - it IS possible thorugh a automated system loophole that according to replies only verifys last names so as long as you know the answer to security question - you can do it. However - its still against the rules, which means if you do it and are discovered, there may be consequences.  Proceed at your own risk.

I just finished reading the latest book from the Saxon Tales and I really want something violent and war-filled and, well, Warcraft to read now, especially since I'm very lacking in lore knowledge and WotLK is on the horizon.  My problem is I have no idea which Warcraft books would be worth the effort...

 What Warcraft books/series have you ladies enjoyed and why?  Any particular books I should start with (I am a relative noob, tbh)?  What characters are surrounded by the most interesting/your favorite bits of lore?  Anything else you can teach me about that I failed to find a question for?

Also, I am an Alliance lady, as that is where all my friends are, but I do enjoy my Horde as well so faction-focus doesn't really matter to me.  :)

Once more I spam! This time, I'd like to know some things about transferring a character from one realm to another.

- How long does it usually take? The site says something like "up to several days" which is neither encouraging nor informative, but I've seen entries here that seemed to imply things move faster than that. Does it make a difference if I do it now, during the weekend, or on a workday?

- Can you take it with you? That is, I'm aware that vanity guilds and the like can't be transferred, but all the stuff you have in your bank comes with you, right?

Zindiyah, my troll rogue main, is at Level 54! After leveling my poor lockpick to 175 in Angor Fortress, creating a nice stash of poisons, and opening all my lockboxes in the bank, I'm heading off to Un'Goro next. I was there briefly and man, is it pretty! It's all tropical/volcanic with lots of dinosaurs. Zin on her violet raptor blend in real well. :D I have a few screen shots uploaded to photobucket, but they aren't great quality. I think it's worth a peek as Zin is looking fabulous.

Engineering because I would think throwing a bomb at 4 people for 1000 dmg would cause more initial threat than shooting one.

Okay, this is a longshot but I am hoping you ladies can help me remember the name of a raid frame addon I loved but lost in a reformat.
It was just a simple raid frame that let you move your entire raid as one unit, had just simple health bars that were very small and clean.
It wasn't grid, Xperl or RDX, I cannot remember it for the life of me.

If you have any idea please let me know! I will know it immediately by sight. I use Ace2 if that helps. Thanks!

So my friend and I are doing the unthinkable, trying to make pvp alts on Tich (i know i know, how cliche)... he wants a vanity guild so we can see what level each other is when the other one isnt on, among the usual vanity guild reasons.

So would anyone be free to make an alt on US TICHONDRIUS in the undead starting area to look for ud mage Zombiegnine and sign our charter for <Spicy Baconator>?

So... I've finally rolled a Draenei that seems to be actually going somewhere.

Previous attempts failed, due to lack of friends on the server, but this one was a re-roll so that I could run around with my old friend, Han.  I've managed to make a few more friends in addition to Han and her boyfriend and their guild.

I'm trying to get my Hordie guild to roll there with me, just for shits and giggles.  You know, maybe make a guild called We So Hordie or something... but that's still in the works.

So anyone here, Ally-side, on Spinebreaker?  I'd love to build up a group of buddies on this server.  My little Draenei is now level 20, and to the point where I don't think I can abandon her.

Her name's Aveera.  Yeah, I'm creative with my names.

Also, a lol moment at one of the biggest assholes on my server!

Two nights ago I grabbed a friend and a guildie and pugged two more for BRD, all on-level. It went fantastically, and I feel like I'm really learning to tank. And, despite a few wipes, spirits remained high and we got through the whole instance. Magmus didn't see fit to drop my helm, the only thing I really wanted, but that's ok. I think, just from that instance, I learned a lot about tanking.

So. Tanking stats confuse me a little. How much defense should I have by 60? I'm getting hit really hard at times. What about spell dmg, hit and spell hit? I've got 4.5k HP and 2.8k mana unbuffed, and 6.5k armor. For LRBS, Strat, Scholo, maybe UBRS, is that ok? I know how to dps, and healing comes very naturally to me, but tanking has a learning curve. X(

This alt, I should mention, isn't going to Outland for a while for various reasons. So I'm looking for pre-BC solutions. A bit more challenging, I know. :)
