TLDR: Grouped with an awesome hunter from the top Horde guild on the server, who surprised me by being a Nice Guy. Later grouped with an absolute dingbat that thinks that all quest drops Are Belong To Him.

I hate PvP. I don't mind admitting it. Mainly because of all the lollers and abrasive gits who think they're the be all and end all of battlegrounds. And I suppose rolling my main as a healer doesn't help. Can't really kill anyone very well by standing there and healing yourself...and as a paladin, being a full-plate healer with uninterruptable heals means I stand there for a long while, just healing myself as they pummel on me with all they've got. It gets boring.

Then my rogue hit 70, and I thought "Great! I'll be able to kill people now!". Oh how naive... Of course I can't. I'm a newly dinged 70 with mostly quest greens. I have trouble killing 70 mobs, let alone fully epicced Horde. So it may be occurring to you that with all my whinging, I shouldn't be bothering at all. Well, it eventually helped my paladin gear up enough so that a raid group accepted him, and as for my rogue...well, being an alt, it's pretty much the only way he's going to get gear. 

I hate PvP.

...that is, until it all magically comes together for me, and I manage to take on an enemy player single handedly, and come out not only on top, but without getting hit once. Stunlock followed by crit after crit, and suddenly I'm standing tall (well, tallish...he is a gnome, after all) over the corpse of my enemy. Damn it feels good.

Then it happens again with another player. And again. And I realise that I CAN kill people, so long as I do it right.

I love PvP *grins*

NB - I still hate PvP, and do it as a means to an end most of the time, but sometimes I really do enjoy a BG, when things all go right for me.

Excuse the language in the title. I guess I'm excited and happy for something that happened in HMGT today.  There's only one thing wanted to run HMGT for.

We did have a shitty start at it all since I guess everyone was like blah blah blah! Kept wiping on trash mobs and the Priestess fight was a horrible pain in the ass. Took us 5 tries to kill her even after the new patch but that didn't help cause we got a shitty group make up with the demon hunter and the gargan engineer. But manage to get past her and two shot the respawning mob in Kael's room.  

But it doesn't stop there. Since we have a warrior tank that can't bubble himself to avoid Pyroblast when it came time for gravity lapse EVERYONE died except for me.  So I"m like FUCK. HOLY PRIEST vs Zombie Kael @ 25%.  Considering that I had used up my last mana pot and have burnt my Shadowfiend cooldown I was thinking I'm screwed.  These are like the moments you wished you could've FRAPSed.  I was the only one left standing and I'm at about 10% health and no mana.  So my lightwell was up and took a heal from it when the laspe was down for a moment.  Put up SWP and Starshards and kept swimming around in the air.  And this went on for freaking 10 minutes.  I mean I"m being life drained and balls that could be my impeding doom following me. So when it was all said and done Kael died by the last ticking DOT I had on him.  During the whole time my group members were telling the other guildies what was happening in HMGT.

And then the moment had arrived after I rezed everyone it was the looting.  And I squealed for joy to see the thing I wanted most out of that whole entire instance DROPPED. I squealed and cried.  And after many runs of HMGT I finally got...

this extremely made my day and I couldn't believe it.  Our rogue was telling me that his girlfriend was saying "Kael's is making her work for that mount LAWLS" and the tank was like "If and when you down him I will pass on that mount cause you deserved it for making it a ONE shot battle."  As well as my husband and the mage that was with us. I wish I could SS it but I'm lazy.  And so I will try to log off mounted up just to show that it's in my armory and that I did get it.

I'm just so psyched and now my husband wants his Raven Lord mount and I am willing to help him get it. =D
So my white hawkstrider along with my phoenix hatchling. =D Life is grand.

just curious if you ladies have any suggestions for a Hunter specific addon.... i also have a Shadow priest. i currently use tomtom and light headed for leveling and grid for buffs and whatever healing i need to do on my priest... but any suggestions for anything else i should try out?

TL;DR - Last night, we had an impromptu wedding in our guild. Any excuse for a party, right? I got hitched, much silliness ensued, and a good time was had by all.

Yay, this is my first post so congrats to myself for getting the courage to actually post! Anyway, I need to get a little rant off  my chest. The other day I was minding my own business when some one came up to me and says "Can I ask you a question?" I was reluctant to answer because usually this leads no place fun...so I just continued to mind my own business when this person then says, "Why is your gun such crap?" I was a little miffed at this because I have only been playing for a couple months so I know I probably have crap equipment but seriously, was that the best way to point it out to me? Wouldn't "I noticed your gun isn't the greatest, why don't you get X gun instead?" be a better way? Eh, didn't make me too angry just a little sad that he was not so nice.

Then later I was doing some quest and someone asked to group with me. I'm really really shy so I declined and he proceeded to call me a selfish *****. Did I do something wrong? Is there some sort of rule I broke by not grouping with him? I just kinda like to do things by myself and since I didn't know him, it would have been awkward. I declined politely but I guess I did something wrong....?

I have severe altitis, and have decided to try and clean up my account a little. Long story short, I'm getting rid of (several) bank mule characters that I never use for anything else, and would like to set up my belf pally girl with a vanity/bank-space guild for the use of my other characters. I can haz halps, plz?
Character is Lilitu, guild name is Tarot (wanted something that wouldn't either look silly or be taken, not feeling terribly imaginative today). I'm on the Arathor-US server, and I'll be sitting around the Undead starting area, because it was nearby.

Sorry, I know this is probably tacky, but I really have to squeal!

Look ma, I'm getting geared like an adult

I belong to a wonderful, casual raiding guild. We're working on ZA at the moment and the pace is very nice as far as I'm concerned. While my gear isn't spectacular, it's the first time I'm actually feeling well geared on this character and I've had her for over 3 years now. :)

Also figured I'd let the ladies know that if anyone is needing some Soulfrost, Sunfire (Shade is my B$*@%) or Major Healing to Weapon, on Drenden then hit me up. I'll cast for free with your mats. I can also do Spellpower to Bracer^.~

So, me and boyfriend(who I met in WoW), used to play a while back and had quit shortly after BC had come out. We were both burned out from raiding and what not, but we both recently started playing again, we both have baby alliance characters on Silver Hand where we both used to play Horde. Otherwise we probably would have just transferred...

Alright, so I hit 70 about a month or so ago. YAY ME! My guildies whisked me away and I went to Kara and I've begun to get geared up. I was feeling quite proud wearing 8 purples, a handful of blues and two greens until yesterday.


I need some input ladies on what you personally would do or what you think I should do.

Is anyone else running into a problem where shortly after opening the Ace Updater, it crashes, giving the little window that says "the program has encountered a problem and needs to close"?  My friend and I are both having this issue, and I'm curious to know if anyone else is having trouble.  It started after the patch, if it makes a difference, and the crashes seem to be happening at the same time after opening, rather than when I try to do a specific action.  

Thanks in advance for any advice/help you ladies (and hidden gents) might have! 

Let's Go Burgling on the PvP EST server Arthas has opened recruitment for many classes. Our recent Eredar Twins kill has tied us for 1st on Alliance side and 3rd overall on the server. We are 4/6 Sunwell Plateau. Our raid schedule is Monday through Thursday. Invites go out at 7pm EST and the raid ends at Midnight.

We demand that our members to come prepared, knowledgeable of their class and the encounters they're about to face, and ready to raid. We expect guild members to post on our forums when they're unable to make a raid, otherwise we like to see 75%+ attendance. Please have Tier 6, equivalent, or better gear before applying.

I joined this guild a little over a year ago and I must say that this guild is THE most fun I have ever taken apart of. Playing a game that I love to play with people that I truly enjoy being around makes it ten times better. We pride ourselves on the amount of fun we can have together while never losing sight of what our true goals are. Keep in mind that our guild chat may frequently contain adult language/themes.

So I have been seeing random 70s in WTF gear meaning they have it on for shit's and giggles.

Well last night I decided to go the ghostlands to take out Luzran and Knucklerot to my non-weapon combat up.

When I killed both Luz drop raw-hide pants. So I picked them up and put them on. Then I went to tranq to get some random lowbie.

So do you have your own WTF gear?

All these news about the next expansion got me thinking. On the one hand I'm curious about all the new talents, spells etc. Obviously. But there's also a part of me that's wary of learning too much too early.

You see, when TBC came out I had barely been playing for three months and had only just started consulting sources outside of WoW itself for information about the game. I knew little about the expansion beside of what it said on the box.

Now, in some ways that probably wasn't a good thing. When I think back to just how much time I wasted in my early sixties, having my hearthstone set in Stormwind and travelling back to the Dark Portal every time because I didn't know about the existence of Shattrath and its portals... or all the primals I sold cheaply as I found them, because I didn't know what they were good for!

On the other hand I loved being a noob again, truly exploring new zones and quests without knowing what lay ahead. It's a rare feeling that you only really get to experience once.

And yet here we are with the WOTLK beta barely out and already people are posting screenshots of every little thing, talking in detail about new quests and exactly which rewards they give etc... I don't really want to know that much!

I know some of my friends are excited about getting beta keys, but I'd rather wait for the finished product in all its shininess, to explore it properly with my mains.

And yet the curiosity nags... what about you?

So this weekend, I pulled my warlock out of his state of semi-retirement. For the past few months he has not done much besides the occasional Kara/Mag/Gruul runs. After noticing my completely craptastic dps during a run a few weeks ago, I vowed to pay more attention to him but didn't actually do anything about it until now.

I picked up the T4 chest piece on Saturday and he had the shoulders in his bank so I tossed some gems in those and equipped them, not expecting to see much of a stat difference since he was wearing FSW. I was actually surprised to see an increase in a few areas so decided to leave him in his new clothes for now. I also realized that I had enough Signets and Arcane Tomes in the bank to get him to exalted with the Scryers. And, I finally broke down and bought his epic flying training and got him a spiffy red nether ray.

I respec'd from an affliction build to 0/20/41 and noticed an pretty substantial increase in my overall dps. (I've since switched him over to demo to grind out the SSO dailies this week.) I've never played destruction at all so I'm unsure if I should be doing more than just spamming shadow bolts and tossing a curse of elements up every so often.

I'm gathering mats for the Belt of Blasting but I'm not sure what other gear I need to be working towards. He's low on badges at the moment because he's been buying epic gems for my other toons but if there is badge gear I need to work towards, I can probably get more. His current gem/enchant situation is kind of sad, and I just realized he's way over hit cap. Trying to juggle gear and gems and not lose my cap has given me a headache.

So any suggestions on gear, gems, enchants, cookies, spell rotations, etc? :)

I don't know about the other servers, but I'm finding it hard to make friends on Cenarius. Maybe the server is too old and everyone that's not new has long established friendships, and is not looking for more.

It's like when you are young, you make friends instantly and they often turn into your most enduring friendships. But when you are an adult, it gets more difficult. Maybe everyone on Cenarius has "grown up".

Do you find the same on your server?

Yep. Good times? Sure. Actually it was, I didn't once get super pissed about being there and wiping for four hours.
After some set up changes on phase 2, we get to phase 3 and ......( OMG I'm getting a boner... )

I'm one of those ppl playing far to much and so I have a bunch of alts. My main is a shadowpriest (70), but I also have a hunter(ard, really can't play her), a feral druid, a prot paladin and a shaman on 70. My little healy priest is 61 and waiting to be played so I have a healer (just love priest healing) and somehow my warlock gnome is 52 alreay and my bf is very eager to play his mage with her.
So. Wotlk will hit. I will have all this chars that are awsome on their own (except the hunter... well she's awsome, but not when I play her) and with all the new talents and stuff... I have no idea who I will level first. There would not be a problem with the raid - you are free to choose your main (though most people keep the one they had since starting WoW). My bf's main was his warlock when he applied for the raid, but he leveld his druid first with BC, because we were in constant need for a tank. His warlock only just hit 70.

My shaman is wicked fun. She's elemental, but could heal, too - a druid/shaman team could rock, since you wouldn't have to look for healers. It'd be the same with my shadow priest. But if my warlock hits 70 before WotlK... she'S so much fun to play. OMG I can't decide.

Do you know who you will level up first?

There are days in which it's good to be on a PvP server...cause one can always call upon ones' husband and friends who are *better* at the PvPs to come revenge you! Case in point: My hunter has been slowly working through her backlog of quests since reaching 70 and was finishing up the last few Terrokar ones. I was escorting the parrot up into the trees (to get my Miniwing!) and we'd made it up into the tree, when up the ramp behind me runs a PvP geared 70 shaman and his level 65 warlock buddy. He starts lightning me, and I run away after my bird. I thought they were going to be nice for a moment, but no, they followed me over and my little undergeared hunter quickly went splat.

So...to let it go, ( or no? )

I'm on Elune leveling my baby Hunter while my boyfriend gets his Rogue up to 50 so we can play together.

I was in Duskwood doing the "kill 20 Plague Spreaders" quest. I went into the crypt and noted a Shammy Draenei sitting there drinking. I killed one to the right of me and asked, "are you here for fangs or for killing 20?" Cause I honestly make a habit of grouping with people if it gets us both there quicker, and to me it's kinda rude to just go in killing things when they were there first. On top of the fact, I hate just throwing invites at people.

They didn't say anything, but stood there, so I moved on to another one and she's following me as I move, then she leaves. Ok, I thought, maybe she was done and heading out?

I'm 15/20 on this when a decked out 70 gnome rogue waltz in and started killing every single Plague Spreader before I can get to it. She hits sprint and tags it before me. She runs room to room tagging ALL of them. This goes on for about 10 minutes because I didn't want to think someone was going to be that vindictive for no reason, until I saw her leave. I thought ok, she's done doing what she's doing, only for her to run RIGHT back in as soon as a Plague Spreader re-popped and I was running for it. She tags it, and then everything around me as i'm trying to run to them.

The other reason that made me think this was a vindictive mood, cause if I aggro'd more than 2 she wouldn't help. just kept running.

I'm pretty passive aggressive, so I just...let it slide, ranted at my b/f and now here. I've had other cases where that's happened too. Cleared out a whole mob with my clothie priest, finally got it so that no one was around him to help beat me up, when this shaman comes in, tags him, then leaves. RAGE!


anyone else had this happen before and you just could not figure out why or what for?

Running normal Black Morass, I kept pulling threat off the tank by barely doing anything. I was getting frustrated until my guildmate goes "Take your pants off."

I said what?

"Take your pants off."

I removed my spellstrike pants and quit pulling aggro.

First time I've ever had to raid partially sans gear.

I won't go into the details, really, its fairly pointless, (and irritating) I'll just say that my RL peoples (and the reason I even started playing this game at all) are all lvl 70 and don't really want to/can't play with me, in fact the only real interaction I get from them is when one has the time to take me on a loot run through an instance....I don't mind playing alone, but doing PvP for the last week has really showed me how much fun it is to have interaction with other players....
but walking up to a random player and asking "will u b my friend plz?" takes me to a place somewhere around junior high, and I don't really want to go there, I'm really shy, and I don't want to join guild just to make friends...so I thought here may be a better place....Still feels weird though LOL, soliciting friends, but if any of you are on US-Drenden, and are somewhere lvl wise that playing with a lvl 49 would be fun for you, hit me up....my name is Kaelini....I'm still twinking in AB for a little while but I'll be moving on back to leveling and questing here soon....

Hey ladies.  I have a new little BElf paladin that I'm going to actually RP with and I'm trying to find her some gear for it.  Problem is the dress I want is the Draenie Mage starter dress.  As it's a PvP server I can't roll an alt to get it to my girl so I thought maybe someone here could help.  I am willing to meet you with my rogue (70 BElf) and escort you to BB to get it on the nuetral AH so I can snag it.  Any willing to help a BElf out?

Okay... so, I'm trying to figure out what the big deal is here.  I always hear people singing the praises of the Belt of Blasting.  "You'll never replace it until blah blah blah..."  However, I currently have the Cord of Screaming Terrors from Luker... and it's just as good in my opinion.  I even got the mats for the Belt of Blasting minus one Nether Vortex and then I took a good close look at the two and decided it wasn't worth the 500g or so I spent on the mats (Mainly Primals)... Thus, I reauctioned everything and made my money back.

Can someone tell me why everyone is always saying to get the Belt of Blasting over my current belt?  (I'm a mage, by the way.)  You're trading Stam and Intellect for Crit... that's the only real difference I see... so I'm trying to figure out why that extra crit is so much more important versus the extra Stam and Intellect...

My baby belf rogue just dinged 30 and picked up a chickenstrider! Black, of course. She's not terribly fond of the fancy-schmancy hawkstriders, as she's a bit rough around the edges (she tends to shower in the Silvermoon fountains at 3 AM so the guards don't catch her), but since she's not exalted with Orgrimmar and can't get a wolf, she decided to take what she could get. And she looks awesome on it.

Now I just have to work on upgrading her weapons and she'll be perfect. She's still using that stupid Sunwell Blade from the Ghostlands, the one that's supposed to do extra damage against Dar'Khan. There just haven't been any decent one-handed swords on the AH that can be equipped in the off hand. :P Ah, well.

So, I hit level 70 quite some time ago on my main and have been trying to find things to do with her so she doesn't get all dusty while I play with my alts. I got her the epic flyer right away, then ground up her Netherwing rep so I could have my dragon (pretty much the only flying mount I want, so far). So now what?

I have a computer question!

I'm still stuck with my crappy old Toshiba with its horrible graphics (I have every possible feature I can on WoW turned as low as it can go, and I still get lag like nobody's business in Shatt), and my mother recently got a Dell Inspiron 1720. All I know about it is that hers has 3 GB to my 1 GB, and don't know the video card.

Anyone here use one of those? We may have enough credit on Dell to get one, if so. :3 I'd love to hear any comments about it, good or bad. I've also been considering a Dell XPS M1730 laptop, so any thoughts on that are great, too!

So I got my own account this weekend, finally! I'm waiting on some auctions so I can transfer my warlock off of my father in laws account. I also have a priest but... I didn't like her. at least not the server alliance side. I might try a priest again later now that I have it all to my self.

I think now I can finally get my lock all geared and stuff (my inlaws guild can help me ^_^)

But I did start a new character! I'm so excited, everything is different. I broke my long time allegiance to Alliance o.o;;;
I made a Horde Druid! So far shes only level 8 but i like her a lot. Minus the fact that I OOM every single fight (or come really close) And I'm so used to my warlock I end the fight going, AAAHHH WHY CAN'T I LIFE TAP??!

So anyways. I'm not sure where I'm going with her yet but I know I'm keeping her. Oh I guess server name would help? I'm on Trollbane if anyone is interested. The name is Andura. (at least I'm about 98% sure it is...)
