Wow_Ladies: Girl Gamers of World of Warcraft

Yay, my very first character, Lilitharien, a blood elf priest, hit 70 about 2 weeks ago (I know this post is late!) and it's so great being able to fly (even though it's kinda slow!). Oh, and I redid my entire UI today and I wanted to share screenshots. :)

so tonight, I'm leveling my baby pally (who's close to hitting 31 - I've been playing her almost exclusively lately) and I'm in Hillsbrad foothills, grindging on Yetties to get that stupid hercular rod (what is UP with that horrible droprate???)  I'm going into the cave and see this lvl 38 nelf rogue come up and help me kill the yeti then step back, untill I finish looting)  I think "hhhm ok",  having had some crappy experiences with nelf rogues recently.  I emote thanks to him and I go for another yetti - he helps me kill it again and now I look back and actualy see him skinning it.  Still a little wary - I continue killing my yetties and every single time (with an exception of couple of detours I took for mining so I guess he got tired of wating, but he did wait for me to mana up couple of times), he waits for me to tag it and then helps me kill it and then skins it.  He emotes flirting but I kinda ignore it so he doesn't do it again.  we come across a chest - I wait, he stands back -  I get to keep the chest too.  this goes on untill I get tired of the damn item not dropping and I just want to log out and do something else.  I salute him with respect and leave, but our little alliance just left me with this warm fuzzy feeling :)  after all the crap and node/flower stealing, rude emoting and general annoyances - its so nice to work in understanding with someone - and they are not even from your own faction :)

Whoever you are, if by some strange chance you're reading this  - thank you for making my evening anda very annoying grind a little bit nicer :)

During Eredar Twins earlier this week. As a matter of fact, I've gotten quite a few tells similar to this for the past two weeks, but I had always shrugged them off. I'm in the #1 guild on the server and we have a LOT of people who hate us. A LOT.

I'm still fuming over it, since it's clearly a guildie. The person was too childish to log onto their main and talk shit to my face, and instead resorted to sending me these tells after I blew up the raid with conflag - my first time ever and last time. Our affliction warlock has blown us up 17+ times. He did not get this same treatment (I asked).

Is this reportable? I'm not sure if the previous tells were from the same person (it wasn't the same character), but if it isn't is there anything that can be done about it? I have a pretty thick skin about things, but if a guildie is too pansy to talk to me on their main, or in vent, I worry it's someone I consider a friend. If this is how you honestly feel about me I want nothing to do with your childish acts, and I would love to stop socializing with this person outside of raid times. Is there any way for me to find out who it is? <.

Hi ladies :) I'm looking for opinions on what you guys would do if you were me...

I'm a resto shaman in a mix of T6/badge gear mostly. For a weapon, at the moment, I'm using Hammer of Atonement because it was a big upgrade from my old weapon (K'iru's Presage, haha, I was geared up fast). Now that I don't have any pressing badge upgrades to get, just the Soothing Breeze belt for my mp5 set as an upgrade from the Moroes belt... I'm trying to decide if the badge mace is worth the cost.

Over my current mace, it's another 120 HP, 115 mana, 23 +heal. No denying it's an upgrade, but I'm not sure it's enough of an upgrade to justify the cost when I could be buying the belt, Anveena's Touch again for my mp5 set, the haste trinket...hell, even buying offset items for leveling in Wrath or gems to make a ton of money.

There's a small possibility of getting Illidan's mace, which is a loss of 90 HP and mana, but another 41 +heal, 6mp5, and of course the proc. On the other hand, I'm basically last on the list for that and I think a few more people still need it before me.

So, I dunno. Would you guys spend that many badges in my situation? My armory (default/haste gear) for reference.

Have you ever been in a 5-man PUG where the healer and the tank bicker? I mean, REALLY bicker?

I was doing SM Armory on my level 32 mage, and everyone else was level 37/38.

The tank (twink warrior) kept rushing from mob into mob, and while the rest of us were down drinking the tank would rush into a new mob so we'd have to interupt our drinking to fight.

Finally, the healer (priest) asked him to slow down since she was low on mana.

Warrior: Lol, the druid can heal too.
Priest: It's not about that, it's about waiting for the rest of us to get back our mana.
Warrior: Nobody else is complaining.
Me: Actually, I have to keep drink during pulls.
Warrior: Lol, do it then. I'm doing 60% of the DPS anyway.
Priest: We can't drink because we're in combat, dumbass!

The healer and the tank started bickering back and forth, and on the next pull the healer purposely didn't heal the tank at all and let him die.

Finally during the final boss (that guy who swirls blades really fast) the tank pulled him right up to the rest of us. Us DPSers jumped out of the way in time but the healer didn't, and when we downed the boss the others collected their loot, hearthed, and dropped group while her corpse was still there.

I'm Lisa. I have a 70 NE Hunter and Dranei Priest on Duskwood server! I also have my first serious Horde character, a level 61 Blood Elf Priest and various alts. I've been playing for almost two years now and am more of a pvper then a raider. As much as I'd love to raid, my schedule isn't particularly condusive to it. I work from 2-11pm usually and when I get home...the idea of raiding at 1am is terrible lol.

I've about had it with pvp (BGs and arenas) on my resto shaman. I have a warrior twink that I'll eventually level, but in the meantime I thought I might knock out the remaining 4 levels on my druid and pvp with her like all the cool kids.

The question is, how on earth do I heal on a druid? Miothe is feral and tanky and has been all 66 levels. And resto shaman healing is nothing like druid healing. I'm looking for good websites, add-ons, macros, anything that will help me turn my little feral moocow into a HoT-tossing nightmare in arenas. Thanks for the suggestions, ladies!

Hi all,
My auctioneer add-on doesn't seem to be functioning as well as it used to.  It has acted funny ever since I rolled my troll alt. Most of the items I scan show that they have only been seen on auction once or never, and this is screwing up my system of buying/selling. Is it not possible to use auctioneer on two different servers?  Any idea how to fix this?

My fabulous, funny and friendly guild is looking for a few healers!  I know there are lots of skilled players in wow_ladies, so I hope some of you will give my post a gander.

As for why we're recruiting a whole whack o' healers, two of our long-standing priests have recently decided to cut down on their play time.  One is retiring from raiding after a long career, and the other is going to part-time raiding due to a new work schedule.  We don't eat our healers alive, we just suddenly need more healy friends!

I hear them disparaged all over town but what are they and why do people say it like they would "melee hunter"?

Looking at talent trees I'm guessing that Presence of Mind and Pyroblast/Pyromaniac have something to do with it but having never played a mage, I can't ascertain why they're a bad thing.

Enlighten me please?

First off I want to thank all of you wonderful ladies in here for your help with advice on my mage tank gear/experience. I was able to get to almost 11k unbuffed and your advice on “how to tank” was dead on.

Anyway, yesterday since our now disbanded guild never did Grull’s this last weekend, a few guys decided to get in on a pug. As I was hovering around Shatt talking to people (guild disbanded yesterday a lot of cleaning up to do) one of the guys pst me and asked me to come along, they had one spot left. I grabbed my Flask out of the bank, some spell damage food, logged into vent, got my summon was getting all set up…. When someone asks over vent “Who’s mage tanking”. Apparently I was…. I switched over to my gear quickly, and bummed some stam food (would have been nice if I were TOLD I was nominated to mage tank before I was summoned -.- ) get set and scooched down in place with salv clicked off, mage armor up. As we were talking it was explicitly said, let the mage count down her pyroblast and pull, she HAS to have diamond on her. I was too nervous to listen to everyone else’s instructions. I was setting up getting targets and listening for the word mage. Ready check, all ready and I said in vent “let me know when you want me to count down.” 2 seconds later….. SOMEONE pulls……. I grab diamond (who is now in a bad spot because I didn’t have time to get agro on him ) and start grabbing the shield. Wipe. I stayed up but apparently the other tanks weren’t having heals (<3 <3 <3 pally healers… all of you I could kiss your faces). We run back in start buffing up getting ready and this time they let me count down, I got agro was spell stealing and throwing my fire ward, doing really well until apparently the other tanks couldn’t keep their targets.. I was being feared by something …. It was just horribad.

Get back in for round 3. This time as we are buffing we lost a few people and are getting replacements. Some F-tard hunter ran down, shoots high king and runs back to the raid…. Apparently I am the only one who sees this, or cares cause we all run back in. Everyone says be patient ect. We fill out the group, start summons get my husband (and awesome resto druid) and the new tank in and start explaining the fight to the new tank, shes good and shes going to tank one of the easier guys. This time EVERYONE saw the hunter run down, arcane shot (or something) High King and run back to the raid. I left, I couldn’t take it anymore. Half the raid left, I wonder if they ever finished it cause I then saw said Hunter in trade chat talking about how “epic” it was, and how he had never been with a bigger group of noobs. I had to log, it wasn’t worth getting angry, spewing and getting myself banned for using profanity in trade chat.

TLDR : I pugged Grull’s as the mage tank did well but some stupid hunter kept ruining it by Leroy Jenkinsing High King. I just don’t understand why some people would have such little consideration for others… especially 24 others that are trying their best to do a raid. Ooohh sooo can’t wait for new guild to start putting together Grulls runs. These guys are so great!

Just wanted to give a quick thank you to everyone who posted with latency suggestions. Unfortunately, after trying just about everything that was suggested, it looks like I'm switching cable companies. 

 However I didn't totally bring my arena team down last night. I managed to do something crazy like 89000 healing in a 5v5 with 1800 ms. Beating a team that my team hid behind a pole from for 4 mins because "Holy crap they are gonna kick our asses! They all have bear mounts!" 

.... so do we... 

We took like 21 points from them! :D

I guess you gotta love that we're still humble? 

Also, I wanted to report to anyone thinking of buying the Dell Warcraft laptop. I know I had posted that I had not received the quest envelope after 4 months of contacting customer service and being told nothing to well maybe it's not being offered anymore. Well it came in the mail last night and I couldn't be happier! I got a whole bunch of collector's edition pets, which brings my main to having a full 18 slot bag of pets to carry around, a Figureprints ticket, and a beta key! Yay! I also lucked out and got 2 of the original pets for my main. I petitioned a GM like the paper I got told me to do. After talking with him for like an hour I got the item in my mail to do the quest for the pet, and also got sent an extra panda collar! <3 Nice GMs!  

Last night I also got the distinct pleasure of off tanking Gruul on a kara geared prot paladin. Trying to stay second on threat when you’re competing with a t6 geared rogue and enhancement shaman... so much fun! But I did it! /dance 
I even walked away from the night with some shiny t4 shoulders! I tried to pass them down to the other paladin tank, hell I begged him to take them, but he wouldn't. 

Yay for good wow days despite watching it in slideshow stutter lag :D

So any advice on the jazz behind the cut would be very much appreciated.

I am unreasonably excited about this patch, given that it's not a major content patch.  It's not just the mounts, although that's HUGE.  In all the excitement about that, I didn't notice some of the other things going in.

1. Zoning into an instance on a PvE realm will now drop your PvP flag.

Holy cow.  I missed this in the patch notes.  How could I have missed this?  How many hours of my life have been wasted dealing with pvp flagged people in raids? 

2. The Stun component to the Sunblade Mage Guard Glaive Throw has been removed and the Bounce range reduced.

I might actually run heroic MrT on my protection warrior again.  Maybe.

3. Increased the drop rate of Pristine Yeti Horns from Winterspring Ice Thistle Matriarchs and Patriarchs.

Worst.  Quest.  Ever.

All in all, I'm super excited to get home and buy my mage her mecho-chicken.  Anyone else excited about (non-mount changes in) the patch?

Hello Ladies.

A about a month and a half ago, I posted when going to the movies, I ran into a clerk there that played Wow. I asked if anyone had randomly met someone IRL who played wow, and a bunch of you chimed in =) .. So, I've got an update to that story.

The other day I went to see Hellboy II by myself at the theater, and she was there and we talked a bit, I went off and watched my movie. The next day I was home sitting around the house when from the doorway I hear "What server do you play on?" .. I've recently switched servers so I asked "Which one, my old one or new one?" .. I told him, and I asked "Why", he said "just come on out here".. So I did.

My neighbor who moved in maybe 9 months ago?.. was sitting on the steps. So, we started talking and he was on the steps taking a break from wow.. He mentions that his co-workers got him into wow. I said "Yeah I hear that a lot".. And more talking goes on, so somewhere along the line I said "You know it really is a small world, just the other day I went to the theater here, you know the one just a few miles away?" .. He goes "You mean the one I manage?" .. So apparently, They, the girl and her husband that I met, got him into wow, him being my neighbor.

I couldn't help laughing for a while over that one.

I wanted to thank all of you who gave me constructive advice on my panicked post. Since then I've gotten my enchanting over 350 (major spellpower ftw, once I make that damn Adamantite Rod!), gotten the mats for my friend to enchant Vitality on my boots and Spellpower on my bracers, upgraded a few gems, and spent a night up til 5am working on a spell rotation with my friend/ex-guildie (I clearly owe him a beer or eight).

It's not much in the grand scheme, but my spell rotation practicing on Dr. Boom was getting me over 610 dps consistently (given I have about 920 +spell dmg, I was told this is decent). Running WWS for the first time in Heroic SV the other day, I averaged about 545 (but we had a weak healer and I had to keep tossing PoM/Binding Heal out, which obviously cuts into DPS). It's not much in the grand scheme, but it's a start. I can't wait til ZA on Friday and SSC on Saturday - I should at least show some improvement!

That said, I do have two quick questions regarding my alts.

1. I have a hunter around lvl 32. I'm thinking of having her drop mining/JC to be my herb/alch (since omg, need elixirs/flasks). Is this logical? Maybe have her do mining/herbing? It'd certainly make her nice cash that way.

2. I'm levelling a nelf rogue (seeing the rogue trees proposed for Wrath, plus the fact I miss my undead rogue, made me go "yeah, rolling NOW!" XD) - I want to go Subtlety, at least for levelling, but is it true that ShS daggers isn't really viable anymore? The idea of a ShS swords build just seems confusing to me. What about maces? Fist weapons? What's the best weapon spec for a sub rogue, I guess, is my question.

Thanks in advance, and again, really appreciate the pointers in the right direction.

I am an officer in a recently formed guild - we're less than two weeks old. We have a core base of about 20 very active members who range in level all the way from new characters to level 70. We are alt-friendly (or should say alt-crazy?) so the core membership has characters in just about every level range to aid with member leveling. We are primarily a leveling / social guild (which I realize are probably a dime a dozen), and we are looking to start recruiting.

Never having done anything even remotely like this before, I have a few questions:

(1) Should we wait to start attempting to recruit until our website is up? How important is a website when you're not talking end game / raiding guilds?

(2) I'm not noob-ish enough to think that the fact that we do have a guild bank and a tabard are actually really exciting selling points (although we do have both those things), but I also can't think of anything that is a huge selling point. I mean, there are the things that are important to me (we're active, we're mature, we're helpful, etc and so forth), but what guild recruits by saying "we're childish, selfish and never on - come join us!"?? In other words, I feel like I'm just going to be saying the same thing that EVERY OTHER start-up guild out there is saying. What points should I be talking up to potential members?

(3) Where have you had the most success recruiting? The official WoW forums, message boards, in communities like this, on your guild website, in game? I don't even know where to start, really. I am appalled by the idea of just sending toons to starter areas and trying to recruit everyone I see, and I think the rest of the guild would also agree that that is a bad idea. I've been encouraging my guildmates to "recruit smart", but I'm not even really sure how to do that (other than the recruiting I've done so far of people I know IRL).

Any help / advice is greatly appreciated.

Silver Hand and some of the other servers are already back online. Since I was home for lunch and had a toon not too far away, I had to check out the new flight point mounts.

They look... mostly cool, a little creepier than I expected. But mostly cool. But for lulz, ride one while wearing a robe. Whoever designed the animation must have been stoned, because their heads bob back and forth into and in front of the robe. It looks a little sketchy, and frankly I don't see how they can see where they're flying. ;-)

I'm excited that my lvl 27 belf might be able to get her mount today if I can powerlevel her the rest of the way to 30, but she'll never be able to grind the 35g + mount cost by then (she's only got about 3 gold on her--I've been saving like crazy and trying to make money with skinning, but training just wipes it out every two levels.) I can't borrow from my only other Horde toon on the server, either, since she's barely got any money at all.

I'd always thought that I would just brave the Booty Bay AH and transfer the money over from one of my rich Alliance mains, but then someone told me that Blizz had made it so that you could no longer buy AH items from any other character on your own account. Is this true? Will my poor belf have to grind gold furiously until she's level 40 anyway, or can I still transfer it from my gnome?

ETA: DAMN it. Thanks for the confirmation. *sigh* I don't know anyone on my server well enough to ask for help, so grinding it is, then.

ETA 2: My server is The Scryers--it's pretty low-pop and obscure, I only know of a couple other people around here who play on it. I like the idea of posting on the realm forums, though. I think I'll try that. Thanks, guys. :)

...about the mounts, obviously. XD I can't seem to find an answer for this in the patch notes, but has rep been nerfed for mounts now? Or do I still need exalted to get my draenei shammie a horse? ;3;

My secret WoW wish is:
turning all my chars over to the Horde.

When I started playing WoW I thought "yay! Horde!!", but the people I wanted to start playing with where like "No! Alliance!!!" Especially since on of them has to play Paladin. No matter what RPG, he's the Paladin and if that's not possible at least a valiant knight. Well. Starting alone? Or with the people I already knew? Well, I went to the Alliance. And I got lots of new friends, became part of a really great raidgroup, met my boyfriend there, moved in with him (♥), played a priest, a druid, a paladin, a hunter and a shaman to 70 and all the time I was secretly wanting to play Horde. I mean of course I bash their heads in when I pvp, but whenever I see a tauren or a troll, when I use my orb of deception or orb of the sindorei I wish it would just stick. If Blizzard would over a turn over "Turn your human into a troll" or what ever, I would gladly do it. Of course I would want my bf to come too, but given the stress that the raid is giving him atm it might even work... and finding a raid might even be not too hard.
I have some Horde twinks strewn about, but none on my server - all slots are full and I have hard enough a time to decide who I want to delete (or move?) when the DK comes. My best friend on another server is Alliance of course. I now started a BE on a server where another friend of mine is, but playing that char keeps me from improving my main chars... and since I already played all classes I can't really do something new (except for the new areas. I love new areas. I wish they'd do new low level areas with Wotlk).
Don't get my wrong, I really like my chars. My round little human spriest, who melts faces so lovely, the night elf tramp kitty, the space goat shaman with the most sexy dance moves... but I like the ... "theme" of the Horde better. Their history and stuff...

This is the most supportive community that I know of in WoW, with the highest tolerance for QQ'ing so I will express my concerns here :)

I've only started playing a few months ago and have gotten myself a shiny new level 70 feral druid. I settled on a druid because I loved (love!) the shape shifting aspect of it. That really appealed to me. My good friend in the game, who himself has 2 feral druids (different factions) encouraged me to be fully feral. That's alright because it is the fastest way to level. And I love feral powah. Love sneaking behind a mob (or even better, a player) and WHACK! Love turning into a bear and RAWR. Love (love!!!!) jumping off a cliff and hearing the snap! as my wings spread to catch the wind. . So I am certainly not disappointed in my choice of class.

What exactly do you think the blood elves do all day in TK, and why?

Obviously there's a wing for those who enjoy engineering (Void Reaver.. but wtf are they going to do with him anyway?) and a wing for newbie magic-users (Solarian). And then there's Kael's wing, where people just stand around in little packs and try to look cool in front of the Head Honcho and His Four Advisors. Are they trying to earn influence by standing there all day? Recognition? Do they think Kael is a sexy devil?

I need reasons!!


I also know that I am Truly Full of Fail when it comes to lore of any kind, so if it's something obvious, I apologize x.x I just keep toying with ideas for my paladin's backstory (not that I'll ever play it because I'm too chicken and awkward!), but I'm such a lorenoob that I don't want to make anyone cringe.

I was reading this post here on wow_ladies and it really reminded me of about 2.5 years ago, when my boyfriend and I had been leveling together all the way to 60 (the cap back then) and we joined separate raiding guilds.

After that first leveling together thing, we've never really played that much together, in the "together" sense - we've raided together on various chars, run a guild together, been officers in another together, done instances etc but it's never been "just us" and others usually absorb too much of our attention for it to be about quality time together. For that we have to log out. WoW was more of a common interest than something we did as a couple. The reason is that we just have very different priorities in game.

Not sure where I'm going with this, just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience of trouble with the couple-in-warcraft thing...

I'm sort of stuck and in a bit of a rut. I dinged 70 a few weeks ago (my first!) on my holy paladin, Sunlight (armory link) on Dragonblight. I have the entire Crusader's Battlegear set except for the helm, and I've supplemented with other +heal gear such as the Lightsworn Hammer, Crystal Pulse Shield, and Blessed Book of Nagrand, among other things.

Still, my +heals is stuck at 985. :( Everything I've read tells me I need 1200+ to get into a Kara PUG. My question is, what on earth do I do now? I just don't know what else to try to get those +heals up short of PvPing for gear (I don't mind BGs but they're not my favorite). I'm a pretty good instance healer and I've done all the Auchs and Hellfire Citadel, but I don't feel like I'm ready for Heroics either.

Am I just too insecure about my gear? Or do any of you have pointers for what steps I should take to get my gear ready for Kara? If you've got a guild on Dragonblight and wanna drag a noob along, even better. :)

Is anyone else having trouble getting into wow?

Every time I try to load a toon the game crashes on me.. I thought that maybe it had something to do with now out of date addons or something so I disabled them all but it's still doing it. :(

I try to load my toon but it just gives me an error message.. :/

I recently started using quest helper and LOVE IT. After todays patch though, I keep getting an error message. I tried to redownload it, same thing. So, I went to Curse and did all the things it said to do on there and still nothing. The error is now telling me it can't find fonts and art or something like that. It isn't showing it to be out of date in game.

Anyone else having or had this problem? If so, what have you done to remedy it?

So yesterday I was home and lucked into a 10 man Kara group. Having recently dinged 70 my poor lil undead mage was seriously under-geared, but paired with an excellent group I went from a sad green owner to the owner of not one but 4 purple pieces!!! Maybe now I wont get 2 shot in the battlegrounds...then again I AM a CLOTH-WEARER. haha

So do any 70's quest anymore?

My main is a resto (sometimes feral) druid. I'm raiding T5 with her at the moment. I absolutely rip through consumables (Elixir of Draenic Wisdom & Elixir of Mastery. Sometimes Healing Power).

I try to farm herbs with my paladin alt who other than that is completely unplayed. Problem is, this alt doesn't have epic flight skill. I often find myself racing through Terokkar to a yellow dot only to see someone swoop down with an epic flyer and herb right from under my nose =/

I do actually have enough gold to buy epic flight skill/mount for my alt. Now my dilemma, is it worth it, seeing as I -ONLY- use her for herbing??

So ive been working on and off between my hunter and my elemental shaman, both alts.  I basically farmed my hunter three epic peices of gear for when she dings seventy, all of which will last her some time thankfully. Now my shaman has been a bit harder, as there isnt a whole lot of gear tailored for this apparant 'off' spec. Its extremly hard to get into heroics as I lack cc and tanks dont like my huge amount of threat : ( Lately ive been able to go to our guild karas as my shaman to, because we recently got a new warrior tank that basically can solo tank Kara except for needing our dps warrior to put on a shield now and then. It use to be "what, only 830 spell damage? Your to noobish for kara" from pugs >>;

I really dont like pvping at all, and since im sick with heat stroke at the moment, I dont want to do it at all lol. Any tips from the shamans out there? I have the timbals crystal in my bank, but i thought since crit=elemental focus=less mana used, I shouldnt be using it for the spell damage.

So...Altitis has struck again.

And I want a character to have jewelcrafting. I'm not sure if I should abandon Engineering on my Paladin (the 'lock has taken that up as well, and I hate having multiple crafting professions among characters...I know...it's odd....><)

Most people I have talked to have said that leveling jewelcrafting was a bitch and a half. Your thoughts? And...should I let my priest take up alch/herb or JC/Mining, and keep my pally at Mining/Eng.

Why do professions have to be so hard to choose from. Grrrr....

And the warrior question. My bf is a lvl 68 Fury Warrior. Luccion He is going to be hitting 70 by next week so he tells me. He wants to sign up for the guilds Kara run next Tuesday, but I'm at a loss on what minimums we need to look for, as well as a pre-raid gear guide if anyone knows of one. I've managed to keep him away from plate pally gear hehe. He won't be tanking (that's my job :P hehe) so he'll be DPSing. I've not leveled a warrior past 27, and I was a bad warrior at that (first character, and had no clue what I was doing.) so if someone of the awesome warriors could give us some advice that would be spiffy!

Hey guys, (or girls, haha) I'm new to this community, but not WoW.

I play on Thunderlord, my main is a 66 Tauren Marksman hunter named Hawney. My alts are Teacups, a 18 Blood Elf Warlock, Salsashark, a 22 Undead Rogue, and Supernothing, an itty lv. 11 Tauren shaman.

I was wondering if there was anyone else in this comm. who played TL?

And in addition to that... I kind of want to bulk up my guild a little :3 We're on TL, and we are a social/scheduled instancing guild. It's a baby guild right now, with myself and only one other person, haha! I've got a ventrilo server & a guild bank, will have tabs soon. I'm going to get a site up and running soon (providing that people join) so we can schedule instances every week, and eventually get into raiding. All levels & alts will be accepted.

Anyone interested? :P

Aside from that, this looks like a super rad community, and I'm glad to be part of it! I looked through the rules/profile info, and I hope this guild pimpage isn't against the rules. If so, I'll take it down asap! ♥

And now for a more serious question...about this tiny aspect of my character's RP.
Do you think it's alright for Sama'el (my lvl 70 UD rogue) to have a teeny tiny crush on Varimathras. She doesn't act it out or anything. She just rants about how it's annoying her in her journal. She's a top ranking Deathstalker and a Forsaken/Horde zealot. I've seen some really weird OCxNPC crap but what about this?

Stormwind College, the Alliance RPing guild on Steamwheedle Cartel, is totally and absolutely awesome.

I attended my first Sunday night symposium, where we all discussed (in-character) whether or not homocide is ever justifiable. It went from about 8 to 9:30, and it was fantastic.

We had a lot of people just randomly join us.

I held interesting conversations with strangers afterwards.

I'm so in love with this version of WoW, the version I never knew about, that I'm seriously considering making up an LJ icon of my Nelf priestess, Dressill.

THAT is commitment right there, ladies (and hiding gents).

Three cheers for RP! Three cheers for active and interesting communities and players! (Oh, and three cheers for the latest patch...  I needed that mount earlier. Ha.)

Alright.. so, on my now level 34 Druid (yay!) I was in.. an area whose name now escapes me, it's been a long day at work.. working on the quest 'Never Again!'.  I killed the first named and was having some trouble finding the other.  After searching thottbot and wowhead, I finally found the path leading to the cave of the second named.  As I neared the top of the giant mountain my little legs were carrying me up, the mobs were already dead.  I commented to my bf that it seemed someone else had already been in the area and proceeded into the cave.  Everything that I had read indicated that the named in this area was about as hard to find as the area itself, so imagine my surprise when I went flying into the first open area in the cave and soon had the "ENTERING COMBAT" warning and the named running for me.  Well, the guy that was clearing the area was sitting down healing, getting ready to kill the named himself, I'm sure.  So, my quick panicky thinking was "back up, invite him to a group.. notimesorrydudegottafight.. named is dead."  A few moments later I get a tell, informing me that this was a "punk move" and of course, I apologized, explained what happened, and offered to stay in the area to wait for the named to respawn.  This person then started to accuse me of lying.. telling me that I sat and watched his friend clear the area only to come in and clear the named.  WHAT?!?!?!?! Yeah, because I'm a total jerk and I did it on purpose!  Who does this person think I am?!  I mean, obviously he doesn't know whether I did it on purpose or not, he doesn't know my play style.. but I honestly didn't.  Would I offer to take my time to stay and assist on the respawn if I had?  His accusations couldn't be satiated, so I told him he was on his own and to keep me out of his game drama - I was there to have fun, not to argue with him.  He got his "last word in" and logged off.  If he had stuck around, I would offer him this advice - join a pvp server, get ganked a few times.. see how that is.. jerk... sigh.
