Brutallus down!

My guild got Brutallus down today, finally! I got the Reign of Misery from him. My new mace looks like a tuning fork, which I suppose must be an improvement over my phallic pink rotating mace.

Any other shadow priests working on Brutallus? I did 1357 DPS on the fight with Flask of Pure Death, Superior Wizard Oil, Blackened Basilisk, 3 Destruction Potions (synchronized with either my Hex Shrunken Head or The Skull of Gul'dan) and wasn't soaking so I could use SW:D liberally except for when I got Burn. My group composition was resto shaman, 1 warlock and 2 mages, and we had 3 destruction warlocks in the raid for ISB, plus a ret paladin. Also have 4pc T6 and close to best of slot items in most slots, but not sure if I can push it any harder as I've heard of some shadow priests cracking 1600 DPS on the fight. As a comparison, the other shadow priest, who didn't have the resto shaman, but otherwise geared about equally to me but with more spell haste, and was soaking, did only 48 less DPS than I did, so I'm thinking I should've done better.

This is probably stupid to more than a few people...

But I HAD TO SHARE. I'm saving up for the War Wolf for my tauren hunter, so I'm pulling all three battlegrounds needed (Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch, and Alterac Valley) for the marks. Usually, I abhor battlegrounds. Long, full of chat of people yelling to take this or that or "queers!". Rinse, repeat. e_e

But tonight was nothing short of brilliant. Alterac Valley took no less than an hour, and we just juggernauted to the base, took names, kicked ass. Warsong took even less -- we got all three flags without a single one of ours being captured. Arathi Basin was usual, but at least we won!

Am I overreacting with glee? Is my faith fairly restored in battlegrounds actually being fun? Am I absolutely positive it will NEVER happen again? Yes, yes, yes.

Vexallus Wallpaper

Hey ladies!

I just ran Magisters' Terrace for the first time the other day, and was really impressed and took a couple screenshots.  I turned one into a wallpaper.  If people are interested enough, then I'll go ahead and make a wallpaper for all of the bosses in Magisters' Terrace.  Size is for 1440x900, but you can just chose to center it if your desktop is smaller.

it doesn't get much better than this.

I have just had the best WoW day....

So it starts out with me levelling up a rogue on BB since I didn't quite feel like my lock was fitting. Got Doth'd (i love you guys) and had many laughs with them.

Took a break for a headache.  Logged in to Doomhammer to see my fave guildies on.  The hunter who has been basically helping me out since I hit 70 gave up a spot in Magister's Terrace for me.   (boy do I heart him.)   Anyway....so we're in there and the  Cloak of The Coming Night drops...awesome, because a few in the group had it already, and nobody wants.  I ask for it and receive it.  This is FABOO because I'm working on my hit rating, which a few days ago was abysmal.  I saw that kara guide one of you guys posted and realized that was the only stat i couldn't hit on.  So I'm already flyin' high.   aTHEN  Hauberk of the Warbringer drops.  Annnd...I get it, because I'm the only one who can use it in the group, and they basically tell me to take it or die. :D  It took away about 20 hit rating though, so i felt....worried.  I figured socket it with topaz and get some of that back.
So i take it. :)

After which I get invited to run Heroic Ramparts.  Whee! Badges, says I!  The run is great, and 3 badges are mine, as well as a nether. :).  Mostly pally drops for the bosses, but I'm already happy as a clam.

After THAT, I get invited to regular setthek halls.  Ok, why not, I think.  :D  I'm having fun.   I was just levelling lw anyway, and i'd gotten it to 369 in the interim.   So we Setthek.  We meet someone (our 5th man was a pug, everyone else had run together before, blend of Havoc and Riders On the Storm) who was really sullen about the game experience with people.  They say they never ran into a group that worked so well together and was so understanding. Meanwhile, my tank psts me to tell me I'm kicking ass at chain trapping....which makes me all kinds of happy.

Annnnd to top the evening off....the greaves of desolation drop.  This puts my hit rating above what my goal was!  I turn in the quest and get  the Talon Lord's collar from it, which ices the hit rating nicely.  Thennnn I go dump some gold into lw and hit 375.

Ladies and germs, I am a happy HAPPY huntress.....
*sigh*

I had to tell the story, since my last entry was doom and gloom due to my other server. :)
Sorry if it's long. :D
By the by....I'm Verschieden on Doomhammer...I couldn't link the pieces of gear cuz i'm not that leet lj wise. :D

Finally!

I had my first tour in Kara tonight.

As some might have seen from my previous posts here, I've been pretty unhappy with my progression or lack of same. My guild was a really nice, really small one, with even regular dungeons being something that had to be planned weeks in advance. My lock have been at lvl 70 for over 18 days, and have alllmost 1000 +dmg, 171 +hit and such, yet it wasn't until last week that I got into my first lvl 70 instance (SLabs and later Steamvault). I was basically just doing dailies hoping for a badge, and doing my best to gear up with BoE gear.

Well, that has changed. Last night when I logged on, my best wow-friend needed my help with the ogri'la dailies. I accepted, and while we did them we started talking, and I mentioned that I'd really like to go to kara. And then, out of the blue, one of the warriors tells me that I could join his guild if I wished. They're in kara, ZA and did their first Gruul kill just minutes before he invited me. So, after talking about it with my friend, I said yes! It was sad to leave the old guild, but we have a custom channel plus I have my alts in there, they'll have to live with that. My new guildies were very helpful, and helped me set up guildcalendar and stuff, and then I spent who-knows how long reading kara-strategies on wowwiki and watching how-to videos.

And today, the first thing I got after I logged on, was an invite to come and kill Prince, which we did (after a stupid 1% wipe and a wipe from bad infernal spawns). It was really, really nice. I hadn't really thought that I'd come so far. He dropped the Mindblade, which I rolled on and won, but the masterlooter gave it to another because he'd made a mistake. They were all very upset about it though, and as it was an equal upgrade to the mage, I didn't mind. In all, it was a really positive experience, and they seemed  happy with me and my DPS :D. I've gotten invitations to full runs later in the week also, which I'm looking forward to very much.

And another success, although not quite as big: I've had a small bit of success in the arena. I started it two weeks ago with my holy priest friend (I'm afflock), and to say that it went badly is an understatement. We've now played 23 games, and five of them were wins, landing us at a 1309 rating. That's really bad, and I'm not satisfied with it, but I'm also just happy that we got those 5 wins (one of them was against a druid + rogue. We have no idea how we managed that). right now we're working on getting our gear up, especially the priest, who has almost 7,5 hp and 91 resilience - he still needs a lot of gear, but that's ok. We all start out there. Now, the strange thing is - all 5 wins were made in the BEM arena. We have only played 5 games in there... Coincidence? Very likely, but we'd quite like to  use that arena. If nothing else, we have positive memories associated with it, and that should help.

So, is there any way we can join a specific arena? When we started, we joined up in nagrand, and got that one for the first many games, but we got lordaeron once later on. Plus some allies saw their chance to kill us, so we went to shatt to join up... (PvE server, we're so used to being safe in world environment).

I'd put some LJ-tags up, but I just can't get them to work...

update on my quest to be raid ready...

Hello ladies (and gentlemen)! It's our favorite day of the week - patch day - and I am sitting here, waiting impatiently for 11am as I'm sure most of you are. =) I thought I'd throw an update on my gear out there to see if I've possibly - err, PROBABLY - overlooked something.

Here is my armory.  /cheer

edit: I also plan on re-speccing to a more traditional BM build. Just throwing that out there :)

Hunters and arena.

There was a really awesome and constructive post written on the US forums (EU discussion of the same topic here) about the current hunter issues in PvP a while ago, and I was curious what you ladies thought of it. The topic has also been posted in the US suggestions forum and I think it totally needs more recognition over there as well. :)

I'm not an awesome PvP'er myself and only recently got into playing arena, but I have played my hunter for over three years now and know how my class works, and I agree with the OP wholeheartedly on the issues he's listing there. In my humble opinion, we don't necessarily need a dispel on our Arcane Shot or a healing reduction effect on Aimed Shot... What I'd be way more happier with is an ability that really gets me away from the melee, without the rogue being able to instantly shadowstep behind me. It could be on a cooldown, use loads of mana, whatever, as long as I had something to get a fair distance to my target so I could use the rest of my skills before I'm locked in melee again. I don't know. *sigh* I used to play as Beast Mastery in 3v3 before (to save respec costs, hehe), and even with the 18 second godmode I could do very little to actually get far enough from my targets to deal significant damage on them before they reached me. The suggestions that the OP lists aren't half bad either.

Are there any ladies out there doing arena on their hunters? How do you feel about it? What's your tactic on getting away from rogues and warriors? Are you content with how hunters work in the arena at the moment? What's your preferred Let's try to keep the discussion on arenas mostly, as with battlegrounds and 1v1 the whole setting is quite different.

Fishing etiquette?

If you want to go fishing, say specifically in Outland for a specific school, you find someone else already fishing at a school, what would you do?

I personally would fly pass and go for the next unfished, available school. But apparently that's not what everyone will do. At least on my server. Frankly while I understand that there is no claim to a school, won't social etiquette dictate that you should at least find another spot?

I'm kinda a little cheese off at the players(Horde and Alliance) on my server.

Time to go faster!

My guild's been plugging away at TK/SSC finally reaching the 3/4, 5/6 milestone Sunday with A'lar's death. A smaller group of us have also been hitting up Z'A to work on improving our speed and give two of our Kara/Z'A teams an opportunity to band together. Last night marked the second time we obtained the 3rd timed chest and the first time we one shot every boss including Zul'jin.

After dragonhawk went down, we had 7 minutes left on the timer, which wasn't enough to clear Lynx trash and kill him (he took 4.5 minutes to die). For those gals (and guys poking in) who've gotten to the fourth chest, how much time do you typically have left after dragonhawk - especially for the first time? We lost a several minutes with an unlucky scout when our pally tank accidentally entered the instance after he died on a trash group, so we probably would have had 9-10 minutes to try Lynx if that could have been avoided. Also worked on chain pulling this time too, which definitely improved our time.

Since someone may ask, our make up this week was 1x prot warrior, 1x prot pally, 2x enhancement shaman, 2x destro warlocks, 2x priests (1 CoH, 1 DS - they dps when they can), 1 holy pally, 1 rogue all in T4/T5 + some new badge gear. It changes every week depending on who's around, sometimes we'll have a ret pally, dps warrior, or tree.

Bit of Amusement...

This weekend I did an honor grind to get my gladiator helm (*secret squee at actually having it now*) And while in AV I found myself laughing at some of the ridiculous guild names I saw - although I don't think any of these can beat "Sand in my Vashj" that was posted a while back:

- Cake or Death
- He went to Jared
- Fruit of Thrall's Loins
- Always Picked Last
- I RP in Bed
- Neverland Ranch Survivors
- When Fat Kids Attack
- Sapped Girls Don't Say No
- It Hurts When I PvP
- At Least We Got Farm
- Too Drunk to Play Main
- Colbert Nation
- dednetnI sa gnikroW

EDIT: Okay, I didn't know so many would find that one offensive. Should have though.
Crap not again!

Am I Normal - WoW & Addiction

This was on the BBC last night, and does not primarily focus on 'computer game addiction', but I thought it was interesting because the gamer they picked up on was a woman in her mid thirties, who walks her dog and lives in a lovely rural location. They didn't demonise her, however they did present WoW, specifically, as something of a solitary pursuit - leaving out the massive impact of the social interactions.

Most of the program is about the realities of 'behavioural addiction' versus just lacking in self control/being weak.

Anyways, UK folk can watch it on BBC iPlayer, non-uk folk can probably get it via a UK proxy. Interested in hearing people's thoughts on the show.

Some of my personal reactions were

- 'Ooh, that laptop is even worse than mine.'
- 'Hehe, they have problems getting tanks and healers too.'
- 'Oooh, they're playing a horde shaman and a horde mage!'

Miscellaneous Clothing Question

Ok ladies, I need to pick your brains for a minute.
I had my friend text me this morning asking for my help on putting together an outfit. I haven't been playing for that long and don't have much knowledge on all the little outfits and things that you can collect in game. Of course my first thought was "hmm, lemme post this on the WoW Ladies LJ, I'm sure someone will have an idea".
Basically my friend is obsessed with the Mad Hatter and would like to acquire an outfit as closely resembling the Mad Hatter as possible for his character.
Any ideas? The closest I can come up with is the tuxedo one but something a bit more colorful would be more appropriate I think.
If you all can think of anything, please let me know. He's one of the nicest people around and I'd sure like to be able to help him.
Thanks everyone!

Good Guilds?

My boyfriend and I took a brief foray into being horde on Agamaggon. We're going to keep those chars as alts, but we're going back to our mains on Sargeras. I have a 70 pally main and his is a 70 hunter. We'd been running our own guild but, honestly, we weren't terribly good at recruiting, and it got boring when all our RL friends randomly ditched us. I won't rant about that here despite the fact that it still gets me all ticked. heh

What we're looking for now is a good, friendly guild on Sargeras. What makes it hard is that we're looking for something sort of... semi-casual? Wes very much likes to raid but doesn't have time to do it every night. Still, he digs progression, is great in raids, and really wants to be able to get back into it. I, on the other hand, loathe raiding. I'm ret specc'd because I don't wanna. lol I do enjoy doing PVP and questing, though I hate vent and talking on vent and messing with vent in general. It bugs me. I like to chill and listen to music when I play. Basically, Wes is a semi-raider and I am very, very casual. I love the social aspect of having a guild and helping and being helped and sharing chat and knowledge and all that. I just won't be back up healing for any raids ;)

Anybody know any guilds that might be interested in our mains or our up-and-coming shadow pair (my 61 priest and his 61 loc)? We have an alt of every class but probably wouldn't burden any single guild with them all unless they really wanted them ;)

EDIT: We're on the Alliance side with our mains. Duh, me. Sorry to miss one of the most obvious aspects of the whole thing. lol

Lotta Firsts Lately

Now that goldenfoot has a great and reliable team for raiding past occasional spot appearances in KZ ive started to hit ZA a bit more often, and let me say i love it there so much. I guess I do fairly well there to because im on my 3rd invite back with this crew to farm the bear boss and hopefully over time down others! I have seen now and tried to fight Bear Eagle and Lynx! Wow what a rush! Last time i was mix DPS and OT spare tonight I got to do more OT spare esp on Bosses... then came a whirlwhind rush, I didnt even have to be asked, our OT fell i immidatly did this:

(cant see my ass in there lol shockingly but my bear butt took aggro off the tank and I started doing bear shift tanking!)

Haterman was like "Erm gold can you.. oh god thank you!" And I helped them finish what else wise would have possibly become a wipe at 15% shure I didnt OT the FULL fight but im proud i took the assertivness to get in there and get dirty!

Also we took my husband in for his first taste of KZ on sunday ^_^

RP server shenanigans

:) So yesterday there was a LONG period of maintenance on mine and a dozen other servers... I had nothing else to do so I made a level 1 Undead priestess on Moon Guard, ran her to UC and parked myself near the flight-master, to read Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu in /say

I got about 1/4 through before my eyes and hands stopped cooperating... I definitely leveled my typing skill there. :)

Hope you all enjoyed storytime, if you heard me. I saw a few Apple Grass guild tags as I ran in.

Attack of the Alts!

My alt-itis was in remission for awhile, but now it's back full-force.

And I want to pay attention to everyone!

My newest issue is that I want an epic paladin (see previous post re: Invisusira). My current pally is level 45, but.. she's Alliance.

And Alliance is just totally weird to me. :( It's dumb, because it's so pretty and a little more interesting than Horde regarding quests, but like.. I dunno. All my IRL friends are Alliance even, but I've made so many awesome friends Horde-side that I just can't quite tear myself away D:

So now I'm stuck on making a belf paladin instead.

Don't let me do it, guys.

Because I already have all these:

my alts. let me show u dem )

This leaves one free spot for that paladin, should I choose to make her. But.. really, do I need another alt? Noo.. Dx

Wonder how many I can get to 70.. *ponders*

Am I a Huntard?

I have a 48 (almost 49) Belf Hunter.  I love playing a hunter.  I love killing things fast.  I don't enjoy PuGs so much because, frankly, I haven't needed them that much.  But when I do PuG, my pet usually ends up being the tank.  Sometimes there's a Rogue or something of the like as a tank as well, but generally it's me some squishies and semi-squishies.  I don't really do traps.  I'll use Frost Trap when I'm soloing and I've aggro'd something off my pet, but otherwise....not really.....

Sorry; I know this post is a little scattered, but I've noticed that as I gain levels I need to PuG more and more.  What are some of the common knowledge things that I should know?  My Guild mates are fantastic, but don't notice/overlook my flaws in a group setting.

Here's my boy if you're curious:

Finally 70!

So Saturday I ran Sethekk and did a TON of quests in BEM. At 5AM I was 95% to 70, and I just couldn't go to sleep without hitting it! I did the quests where you have to pull named ogres with beer to avoid their elite, sober guards, then helped the boy get his ogres drunk. I turned in the quests to the Vindicator lady, and DING! I squealed, I danced, I had the biggest grin on my face. This is my first 70, after all.

My first trip to MrT )

Anyway, now that I'm 70, far from feeling like the game is over, I feel overwhelmed with things to do. Dailies, rep grinds, instances, getting ready for Kara/ZA, then Gruul/SSC (which our raiding alliance is in). The only thing I've done is get my regular flier. I wish I could find a guide - not a list of things that are available to do, but like a levelling guide, but for 70s. 0.o

Add-ons Questions

Couple of quick questions for you fine people who are more inclined to this stuff than I.

(1) I'm currently using Fubar + Bartender3 + cyCircled as my main UI mods. However, I've started to level a baby drood, and I've noticed that when I shift forms, my bars don't shift. Like, if I switch to bear form, my spell bar still shows my caster spells. When my rogue goes into stealth, her bars shift to show the things she can use in stealth. I heard somewhere this is a Bartender3 problem - if it is, can anyone recommend a decent alternative that still works with cyCircled? I've had problems with Bongos in the past, but maybe it's been fixed since I tried last.

(2) Can anyone recommend a decent tutorial on how to use xperl or other unit frames? I want to make my ui look more like (I think) [info]sorairodays', with my stuff centred and the black part on the screen. Or, conversely, can anyone recommend a really streamlined UI package? I have a 1280x800 resolution and it can get a bit cramped.

Thanks in advance for the assistance! Is maintenance over yet? *twitch*

Advice for a 70 noob

Hello everybody,

I figured I'd ask for advice on my level 70 frost mage, since you all have been very helpful to everyone else.

Here is my armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Arygos&n=Nancipants

I know I need more spell damage and spell hit. I'm going to buy some more gems to fill out the rest of my slots, as well as get some mystic spellthread for my pants. After that I should have about about 583 spell damage, but only 44 spell hit.

So my question is: What should I be doing now? Should I keep doing instances for more PvE oriented gear? When can I start doing lower level heroics? I'm not interested in raiding, but I like doing instances and I'd like to do Karazhan eventually. I've thought about getting the Frozen Shadoweave set made for me, but I only get to play at night after work and farming mats doesn't appeal to me; also it might take me a long time. (Which is also the reason I stopped doing battlegrounds for the PvP epics and just bought the blues instead.)

Any advice would be fabulous. Thanks!

Disco ground syndrom

So lately, ever since the patch, when i go into certain areas, (namely either high traffic areas like Shattrath, queal'danas or for some odd strange reason i cant quite fathom, STV) the ground and walls(trees in stv's case) go an odd...neon/green/brown...disco on crack 1890 style..I wish i had better screenshots then this, but this? This is stv...but barrens crack style. And just five minutes ago, my screen went exorcist and had fuzzy crackling pink/yellow/green/ over it and i had to log cause my eyes hurt. It fixed it but still...what the hell is going on?!

Mid-20's horde quests?

Sometimes I like to take a break from my raiding healadin and I do that by playing... another healadin (Don't judge... it's an experiment to see just how much healing I can squeeze out of her at lower levels *G*)

This is my highest level horde toon at 26, and I'm not entirely sure where to go with her. Most of my leveling from 18 on has been through pugging instances and picking up the odd random quests around various places. I'm really not familiar with horde areas at all, so I'm not sure what the next logial step for a belf would be, since ending the ghostlands chains seems to boot you out into the world without a clear direction.

So, horde ladies! Where are the most interesting quests... something a little different from the alliance ones that'll hopefully let me see the other side of the game a bit more? For reference, almost all of my alliance toons level up through Elwynn-Westfall-Redridge-Duskwood-STV, no matter what their race. I'm not terribly fond of Ashenvale and other nelf areas (Although that's where I've done the few post belf-land quests on my horde pally).

Also, instances. I've done SFK and... what's the one in Ashenvale again? BFD? I'm healing quite a bit above my level at the moment, so I may be ready to try some SM Graveyard soon, but is there an instance between those areas? What's the horde version of gnomer *shudder*?

I have a technical question. I've been trying to take screenshots of my character, which is print screen, right? Well where do they go after you take them? I've been told in the screenshot folder in the wow folder, but there isn't any screenshot folders in my WOW folder. I run Windows Vista, so I'm sure that makes it a little different. But I have no idea, and I want pics of my character. WAAAAAA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to get a better place in the Healing meter?

Hi there!
I'm a blood elf  priest holy/disc. my guild is running BT (we are trying RoS at the moment) and I need some advices >.<

I am quite new in the guild so my gear is still a little weak (i have like 2100 bonus healing and 250 mana regen with all  buffs, oils, flask etc..), but I'm working on it, trying to pick up badges for the new items and everything

here's my armory

http://armory.worldofwarcraft.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Warsong&n=Beatinha

I'm the only priest in the raid that doesn't have Circle of Healing. So iI'm always healing tank or off tanks.

when i look to the Recount add on I always see my name on 6th or 5th place.

So here's the question: How can i top the Healing done?

could the tank's healer be  in a better position in the healing meter? or this is for spot healers?

I don't know what i'm doing wrong =/

Ty very much and sorry for my english (I'm from Brazil!)

New - just wanted to introduce myself

I'm a long time lurker first time poster. I've got a lvl 70 NE Resto Druid over on Eldre'Thalas. She's been 70 for almost a year now :'] and has been every spec, but I always seem to go back to being resto. (I even lvl'd her up resto ... she was my first toon I didn't know that it was easier to do it another spec LOL) Just wanted to pop in and say hi and introduce myself. You ladies are very helpful from what I've read, and I can't wait to get to know more of you better.

If any of you are on E'T on the alliance side don't be afraid to pst Tarina and say HI! :D

so I am leveling a baby alli warrior and this would be my fifth class I am doing the old leveling grind for. I like to do quests and such in the human areas for alliance and durotar for my horde and have grown to like silvermoon and the area. some quests and areas i am not fond of.. not sure why its just a thing with me like for example the dwarven and gnome starting areas .. i do not quest there .. maybe its because everything feels more spread apart than the human area or its just boring to me idk.

at this point i am all about efficiency however the only caveat is if its a quest that i really love to do and don't mind doing because of the story and the characters involved. the one that sticks out being the defias questline. while i hate killing the defias (pillagers and looters can kiss my ass lol) the end to get to the deadmines is worth it.. so i ask you .. fine ladies horde or alliance.. which quests would you keep doing over and over and what areas are your favorites if any? peace :)

Oh my!

I just hit level 60 on my undead priest! (Can you believe I started her after TBC came out and she is *not* a blood elf? ;) )

She is my first ever horde character to get beyond level 24, and I'm pretty proud to have gotten her to 60!

^_^

Outlands; here I come! (Yes, I waited!)

So far, what has made leveling her really fun is seeing the game from another perspective. Mostly doing new quests that are horde-only and filling in the blanks, so to speak.

I'm on Gnomeregan server, if ever you see me on! (Her name is Psyche :) )

I'm a noob!

I had this amazing conversation from a random tell when I was hanging around in Ogrimmar..

Random: Hey... how did you get that "Champion of the Naaru" beside your name?
Me: Oh its the old TK and SSC attunement quests.
Random: What do you have to do to get it?
Me: *trying hard to remember* If I'm not wrong its quite a long chain, you gotta kill Gruul, Mag, run Heroic SL,SH and Arc..."
Random: *interrupts me rudely* What? Are you sure? My friend lvl 60+(I can't remember what 60s specifically) has the same title as you! He said all we got to do is have 2000 kills in bg!
Me: *rolling eyes* Yeah good luck in trying that then.
Random: You're such a noob!!!! L2P
*random is now ignored*

LOL seriously I didn't know whether to laugh. And I was truly mystified by his friend's claims. As far as I know there are no Champion titles. The closest I can think of is the old PvP title "Knight-Champion"

heroics question: difficulty and related items

I've been on a rampage as far as instances go today - I've run all 3 TK on Normal Difficulty, and Heroic UB & Mech. I've been into UB, Mech, SP, and Ramps all on heroic. I've been invited to groups for SLabs, Bot, Shat Halls, and SV, but from what I've heard I don't think I'm quite geared so I always decline. I was looking through the 'heroics' to find an entry I remember reading a while back regarding which heroic instances were the best to start out in. I didn't find it, but I did come across another interesting entry.

Someone had written with a similar question, explaining how they went into Heroic Ramps and had a horrible time with multiple wipes. As I read through the comments I saw many people mentioned that many of the heroics are much worse than even Kara (though I'm sure they meant more of the 'difficult heroics').

So I'm curious, why would you say that is? I never had trouble getting into heroics, even when I first ding'd 70, (mainly because I offer CC, which I've learned is EXTREMELY crucial in heroics, and the hunters on my server are lazy non-trappers), but I'm not even considered if I ask to join into a Kara group. [my armory] Am I getting groups because the tank/healer is convinced they can survive with less-than-awesome DPS? I suppose I'm most baffled because I also can't get into Regular MrT groups - they always say I'm undergeared.

Also, while I'm here, does anyone know where I can find a "list" of heroic dungeons in order of difficulty? Or does anyone have information they could lend?

Any and all suggestions/info/etc. about any/all of this would be awesome.

ZOMG BGoW is featured on WoWInsider!!!!

Ok, so I was looking at the rapidly growing number of pageviews on my dA account, when I noticed someone made a comment about seeing a link to my art on WoWInsider.

After a brief moment of, 'Are you sure you've got the right person?' I went and looked.

OMG.  Its true.  I almost cried, I was so happy!  Holy crap, I'm really featured on WoWInsider!!!!!

:dies of excitement:  Thank you so much for your suggestions on ladies, and keep them coming!!!!

4th Character to Outlands.

So, my Draenei Paladin Ophela made it into Outlands last week, and I, without looking at what the gear looked like, bought a few pieces off the AH to update the couple of pieces of lvl 45-ish gear she was still wearing. I put them on her (under her Tabard of the Hand) and went off to Hellfire Peninsula and on to Shattrath.

A few hours later, I noticed that the pants Ophela was wearing looked, well, like plate chaps... so I took her tabard off to see what in the world I'd dressed her in.

Here is the pic I took:

Frost Mage & Raiding

Hi All!

I recently started taking my Frost Mage, Powderpuff, into Kara with my guild.  My gear isn't great by any stretch of the imagination, but I was wondering if any of you wonderful ladies could help me with a good Frost Mage raiding spec and spell rotation.  I've noticed that playing solo and raiding with this character are very different animals.

I don't want to ask on a raiding site and get flamed for being a noob.  =[

Thanks for any tips or advice you can give me.  It is MUCH appreciated!

This Sunday, I am leading my guild in Kara.

Only I have never ever set foot in Kara! So, this is going to be interesting. Most people haven't gone either, except for two people. We're not all geared either. So, we're just trying out Attumen and seeing how we go. This is mainly to get people motivated to gear up. We're a casual guild, so the point of this is to have some fun.

So,, questions. How do you guys go about picking who gets to go? We, like everyone else, has the problem of heaps of DPS and not enough tanks/healz. We have to scrounge around for them, but the DPS are lining up to get in! I hate the fact I'm DPS (a rogue) and take up a spot by automatically inviting myself. How do other guild leaders deal with this? I would find it unfair if I get to go every time. Alternate with another raid leader once we get things working? Currently, it's first people to answer invite come.

I've read and watched the Attumen and Moroes boss fights, I love wowwiki and youtube, and encouraged others to do so. Our raid experience is in ZG, as 70s -.- (I have to brag, the raptor dropped once!!)

Also, what loot system do you guys use in your guilds (especially the casual ones). I'm looking at variants of suicide kings and spend all DKP. I want it so people that don't come all the time have a chance on the loot, but also at the same time, reward those who stay the whole time, etc. In ZG, people can just jump in or out as much as they like.

And, any other lil' tips? I've been reading around and talking to people, so now I'd like to hear from the ladies :)
