Wow_Ladies: Girl Gamers of World of Warcraft

As I play a warlock, with CoE and CoS, I'd like to know which classes does which types of magical damage, so I can put the best curse up, however, I'm not too sure which classes uses which.  It's especially druids, shaman and hunters that I'm unsure about.

Mages use arcane, fire and frost, obviously.
Warlocks use shadow and fire.
Priests use holy and shadow magic.
Paladins use holy, but is that all?

Druids use nature and arcane? Does feral druids use any types of magic?
Shamans use ??

Warriors and rogues use rage and energy.
What about hunters though? Is it just their arcane shot that count as arcane magic, or do all their special shots count as magic, and if so, is it all arcane?

I just got done doing an hour and a half Warsong Gultch.

What was the longest you've ever done a battleground or whats the most deaths/kills you've ever gotten?

BT was cleared up to Council. We had had 2½ proper nights on Illidan last week, and seemed this week wasn't going to be much better. We had cancelled raid on Sunday(easter). We had a 'howtobehavelikehoggerraid' raid yesterday. This morning I logged into game only to find out tonight's raid was 21/25 sign ups and our GM saying if there's any more stupid kidstuff like yesterday he will take a long break. I sighted, and logged onto my alt to forget all about the raiding stress on my main.

45min before the raid I login, see guild message "All repairs from guildbank, free epix talasites for everyone, 5h raid, max focus max consumables lets kill Illidan before 2.4!!!" so I rush to check the raid sign ups and its 25/25. Waahey!

Into BT we go, oneshot Council(on which we wiped 2h yesterday). Yay for new tier pants! Pull Illidan. Stupid wipe, stupid wipe. Tank dies in p1. Flametanks hug the eyebeams. Raid hugs the eyebeams(wtf oO?). We get to p3, tank dies without no good explanation why no one healed him. Couple of people whine on Vent, "we're not making any progress, this is bullshit, killing him tonight? lol?". Mood gets nasty. One whiner quits the raid. Less than an hour to go, already past our usual raid finish time, we get Illidan down to 46%. Maintank dies on demon-->humanoid switch.

"Ok guys, that's 20mins left of raid time now we kill this bitch and it's game over for next 6 hours alright?!" And bloody hell... 39% maiev comes in... forget the damn traps, dps.. healhealheal. And down he goes. Waaaaah!

I swear half the vent was crying. Was shaking myself, the last 20% felt like my heart might jump out of my chest:D A guy waiting outside in case we needed replacement, even he was rambling on Vent and telling how he's shaking and going mad;D I still can't comprehend really how we actually managed to make it.. the first 3h of raid was like our first time on Illidan. Well here's to all naysayers and ventwhiners, we bloody hell made it.

Our guild has a bad habit of wiping on bosses for 2-3h and then killing them on the last try of the evening. I think by killing Illidan 18seconds before the raid time was over, just before 2.4, we beat all our previous records:D

Ah well - in the morning 2.4 is there but for now.. game over. Feels odd to have killed every single boss in this game :>

A mad rush to Sun's Reach once the server is up... getting keyed for the heroic... my guildmates and I simply nuked our way into Magister's Terrace. We have no idea what the mobs do... we have no idea what the bosses do... we just nuked and nuked until Kael...

Hey, gals...got something of a 'have you stumbled across this answer' of a question for me...  It seems that there's a bit of a quandry amongst our guild (when one jerk isn't griping about me being pregnant... 9.9) about what raid bosses have badges.  He's insisting that since the patch notes say 'all raid bosses', it means that badges were added to the old-world raids.  He's pretty much the only one insisting on it (again, this is the guy who made the pregnant comment, so I'm not surprised he's being completely belligerent about this)...

My thoughts, and I've voiced them, is that since the Badge of Justice is lvl 70 loot, for lvl 70 items... that it's going to drop off of lvl 70 content--not lvl 60.  Again, comes the insistence of "patch notes say ALL raid bosses"...

Now I've got nothing against the guildies strapping on some boots and going into the old world instances for the first time (sans me... unless it's Naxx, I"ve never had a glaring want to see the raid content of the old world, and I've played since release), but I was just curious if perhaps someone's already stumbled upon the answer already.  Because I'm lazy :3

Also, on a completely unrelated note, I wanted to thank you all for the responses to my quandry yesterday.  I'm planning to use the suggestions given (The DND one was a great idea, I definitely need to remember) and it really cheered me up reading all the responses.  Again, thank you all.

There are only nine servers up!! Why?! Realm status page shows all servers up and running, but there are only nine in the selection screen...and none of them are mine :(

SSC was cancelled, so, what else was there to do but go run Magisters' Terrace?

Oh, and die, repeatedly. I was with folks with whom i've run Karazhan, and we wiped continually on trash pulls. And *then* learned that there's no one to do repairs on Quel'Danas until that's unlocked.

My first impression? This is not just a new Steamvaults or Shattered Halls. Normal mode seems to me to have almost heroic difficulty. The mobs laugh at CC and aggro management, and hit hard. A number of people i know were insisting in a huff that they wouldn't be back (eh, i think they'll be back) but between the lag in the staging area, and broken mods, and low framerates (i was down to 2 fps at one point in the instance) i think there was a general current of frustration.

I've decided to resurrect my old all-girls guild syrens of the horde. If you wanna just fool around you are all welcome to roll a toon on Blackhand and shoot me a tell for an invite. This is going to be strictly an alt/fun guild thing since I don't have the time to invest in making it an actual guild guild...If you wanna stop by though send a tell to monkeytoes or naimh or maelovia

So unlike most guilds, we merrily trudged back to Mount Hyjal last night rather than trying MT.  I'm not sure if anyone else noticed, but the fights in there seemed.....well really really easy compared  to normal.
Also in other ass kickingly good news...

The nickname "blue swords"  has followed me since the days of joining this guild, where for the life of me I could not get a arena team or spiteblade to drop to replace my Lathro's Shifting Blade and Edge of the Cosmos. It wasn't until we had SSC on farm that I got the talon and my S2 offhand and never got anything else from SSC or TK.

The loot gods smiled on me finally.

T6 Gloves and Helm in one run of Hyjal. The only druid that could've taken them from me wasn't on and the other rogues had blown all their DKP in BT the week before.
The following day...I got the chest off Supremus.

Like every other 70 of suitable gearing, I, along with four of my bestest buddies, headed into Magister's Terrace to show those nasty blood elves who's boss. Group makeup: druid tank, hunter, mage, spriest (me), holy paladin.

Tore up the regular instance, went back in on heroic, wiped a couple times on the 5s team (hey what do you know, I can fearbomb them too!), got our points for the week, then headed over to zombie Kael'thas... who proceeded to kick our butts.

We had enough CC to get through the trash (polymorph, mind control, hunter trap) without a problem. But for Kael, that pyroblast needs to be interrupted or the tank gets insta-gibbed. (Not the end of the world, since you don't need a tank when you're swimming through the air, but still.) Our mage was quick on his Counterspell button and eventually got the timing down okay-- luckily that interrupt works. So you need a mage, shaman, rogue or warrior here if you don't want to 4-man the last 50%. (Did I miss any other interrupts?)

I love running weird groups in instances (H. Steamvaults with 3 warriors, 1 spriest, and a tree ftw!). I know there are other 5-man encounters that are made easy by bringing a specific class along, but I'm just QQing a little bit at this one.

I am still locked out of WoW because of the same issue as I posted yesterday.  
I wouldn't worry except I'm going to a guild party this weekend and I'd love to be able to play.
I *did* see a message about players who can't log in after being in battleground instances, but that's not where I was and I still can't log in.
After following all possible steps, I'm still out.

You guys think it'd do any good to open another ticket with Blizz? Or just wait it out further?

Patch day woot! Except, not just yet. Everythings downloaded and seems fine after accepting the TOS and signing in when asked to chose normal/pvp etc realm and language theres no actual realm list. Anyone else getting this? I'm EU by the way.
I'm usually at work on patch days so I've no idea how long it usually takes in the mornings.

I'm really interested in the idea of people who roll a toon that looks like them in real life, and it suddenly occurred to me that I know the perfect community for asking this question!  So...have any of you ever tried to make a toon look as much like you as possible?  Do you like playing that toon?  I've made a poll (with bonus clicky questions even for those of you who have never even considered making a toon that looks like you!):

I was wondering if anyone was having issuees with mana or mana regeneration?
I noticed when I logged on after downloading the patch that my spells where using more mana and that it wasn't regenerating as fast. I know it's not me because when I got home from work Tuesday morning at 1am I played for about 2 hours and things wre normal and fine.

I noticed yesterday when I was doing arena that server names aren't showing up on the score board after a match. Did they change this? It shows up as a bunch of gobbleygook letters that reminds me of a wierd name for a USB port. LOL. Was there a problem with ppl stalking? lol

What NPC race would you play if you could?

So there's a poll down there about what faction you play, and most people play a variety. Me, I can't. And I blame the fact that I started on a PVP server, which means the opposite faction were big ganking jerks and now I have a hard time playing characters in that faction, no matter how much I may love the idea. So my question, is this totally unique? Am I just wierd? What are your reasons for playing either exclusivly alliance or horde?

Hi! So I was trying to get a group together for Mana Tombs last night (my little pally doesn't quite pwn enough for Magisters' Terrace), and boy did I get LOLed at in LFG when I posted "65 holy pally LFG MT". All the 70s on my server went "NOOB! LRN2RD PATCH NOTES" at me, and so I had to clarify (patiently) that I meant Mana Tombs.

Did anyone else have this happen? Poor timing on my part, I guess, but... wow. I saw someone calling Magisters' Terrace "MGT" -- anyone else have any alternate acronyms? This is like DM/DM all over again...

I posted before that mine and my fiances characters had mysteriously gotten deleted. We still don't know how, but we filled out a ticket to WoW and they gave us our characters back!! wo0t! So now I have my lvl 50 pally. The thing that ticks me off is I was gathering mithril bars and making the helms, ect. to become a master amorsmith. It was over 100 bars I needed and farmed that I didn't get back, and over 80G that I didn't get back as well. *pouts* That was soo much work that went into it that I lost. Grrr. Atleast I got back my char. I guess. Soon I'll be able to go to the Outlands. YAY!

I have my nifty little stack of badges last night and went to purchase the necklace I have been longing for from the badge guy in Shat but he is no longer in the center of shat? Am I missing something......

Am I the only person having problems accessing WoWace and Curse gaming?

I just had the best battleground run of my entire WoW career! It was an Arathi Basin go and it was friggin' awesome. I owe a whole heck of a lot of it to the fact that I upgraded my comp to 2GB RAM and respeccing so I had a better Talent tree, but it was really fun no less. There was a Priest that followed me around because at any point if Horde started attacking her, I could freeze 'em in place and then we both ran back. lol. And to the level 68 Troll Hunter that consistently singled me out and that I singled out, you fight well, good sir! So yes...that was a great Arathi Basin fight and we won! (I only died 12 times. lol.)

Also, got a question. Just started a new character on the Moon Guard server and I was wondering if anybody knew of some good RP guilds for an Alliance side character? She's still a baby character, but I intend to level her up quite a bit. It'd be the first character I'd ever RP'ed with, so I'm looking for a guild that's willing to help me learn the ropes. I know quite a lot about forum RP'ing and the like, but I've not RP'ed on WoW ever. So yeah...

...too tempted to go back to being "all powerful," even though I'm a mage and I'm really not.  The beginning is just too hard when you've seen the endgame content and can easily, easily go back to it.

So I've rolled on another server: Shattered Halls, Alliance side.  Anyone there, please send a message to Ameera.  Draenei Shaman.  :D

Supposedly, I've got a friend here already, but he seems to be barely on.  Might be just the right amount of starting over to make this interesting.

ok am i the only person that didnt hink MgT and the new area was uber rad? halfway through MgT i was bored. the only amusing thing ive dne all night was beating the eff outta ally near the quest givers lol. i though it would be more exciting than this but im sadly disappointed.

So my buddy quit wow and gave me her account, after I told her that should she ever want to come back it would be all hers again- she's pretty much told me she's done and moved on to City of Villains.

Well, last night, the boomkin I inherited from her got stuck in limbo after hearthing out of Arc, so I started poking around all the toons she had on different servers, and found this handsome boy.
