Wow_Ladies: Girl Gamers of World of Warcraft

It's been a year today that I first got into WoW. If you would have told me back then I would be in a raiding guild with a level 70, I woulda thought you were crazy. I'm known for giving up easily, so sticking with what I have is just shocking. There were many times I thought about quitting my druid, but I stuck it through and I've never been happier with a decision.

Playing tonight, I found myself with a warm feeling as we were all in vent joking around as we made our way through our third Gruul's run. It's been around four months since I switched from my old guild to this new one, and while my old guild is a little ahead of this new one, I have to admit - I don't regret the decision to leave for a second. I feel honestly appreciated and have close relationships with some of the members in the guild, and even the ones I don't know well I'm getting to know better. It's funny that now I've been raiding with them long enough that I recognize voices, and everyone recognizes mine. I'm the spec I want to be and I'm damn content with how things are. Honestly, I'm excited about what's to come for all of us - in a month or so, we're expected to head into SSC. I'm excited to be part of it.

I've been RPing an AU, magically-transformed raid boss in a guild where that's our premise. The guild is disbanding this weekend, and I'm thinking of where (if anywhere) I'd like to take my character RP-wise. There were some good storylines and character development going on there, and a couple of us would like to keep the writing going, at least.

I have an idea that involves Mother Shahraz. After a lot of reading and checking, I'm confused about something. From Illidan's perspective, does he consider himself to be still serving Kil'Jaeden and the Burning Legion? Or does he consider himself in open rebellion against them, fearing for his life if he cannot gain enough power to stand against them? If it's the latter, why does Mother Shahraz serve him?

Also, if Illidan were to take a very big risk, magic-wise, that he thinks can bring him power but that might be (well, *is*) a trap, who among the people who serve him would be willing to say "ah, screwit, he's not right in the head but he has knowledge that can't fall into the wrong hands. I'll go with him to make sure he avoids trouble"? Looking for someone who has a level head, ability to act and plan in secret, and ability to have usable contacts with criminal organizations. Any ideas?

I have a level 34 Shammy, and I am preparing for my mount. However, I would love to have a pretty wolf instead of an ugly kodo (again). What is the best way to grind Org rep quickly? Also, I tried to go to Razor Hill, and there were no quests avaliable for me.

My guild is dying. And everyone who says that they're going to help bring it back, are the ones destroying it. What the hell?

The original GM went to a well known and respected raiding guild on our server. Then several members who were accepted followed. Those who weren't accepted went to another guild on the server. Then they ask me to follow them. I applied to the more reputable guild, and was told that the only reason they'd accept me is so that they wouldn't lose my Fiance (a Resto Shaman). I'm furious. I'm depressed. And if it weren't for the fact that I love my toons so much, I'd quit. I never get to play with my friends any more. They're too busy with their new guilds. They don't even come in our vent server anymore. I don't know what to do ladies.

Edited to add: I know several of these people IRL. So it's not like they're just some Online Friends.

At least I found out a bit more info about the new 2.4 pet. It apparently drops off of Kael in the 5-man. ^-^ So happily it's not a card pet. I took this picture and thought it was a bit more clear of how the head looks and everything. Ironically one of my old guildies who's on another server has one. XD So if you guys want more pictures I can stalk him. It looks absolutely amazing. Definitely going to have to run that 5-man until I get one of my own!

Hey everyone!

I've been lurking for a while but thought I'd finally post.  I've only been playing since October but I became addicted pretty fast.  My main is a lvl 29 Night Elf Druid, Satsuma, on Drenden.  I have a few alts that I play sometimes too.  I'm still pretty new at things and don't understand half of the lingo people use.  It took me forever to figure out what "mats" was.  *sigh*

I have a question though.  What exactly is a twink?!  See, the only "twink" that I know the meaning of, well...it wouldn't be used in the game.  LOL.  This has been driving me crazy for a while now.

I'm looking forward to learning more about the game and everyone here.  I just wish there were a way to tell what players are kids and which are adults, because...yeah.  I'm only 26 but some people drive me crazy!  That's the only rant I have.  :)

Last night I finally got my talbak! It's a bit silly, but I've been dying for this mount since I first saw it running around ironforge. I put off grinding for it till I had my netherdrake though.

Alright, I have been to the Hunter Trainer, the Pet Trainer and everything else that I can think of, but why is it that my Cat (at lvl 34 almost 35) doesn't know the skills that he should know? He as 161 training points and I have no idea how to us them. My cat should be dealing out more damage then he is, yetthe only thing he is doing is the swipe from when I picked him up as a little level 12 cub.  My poor Highmane should at least be dealing more damage, right? 

What am I doing wrong?

So Akkadia finally hit 70, after 48 frigging days of playing her. Haha. Yeah, I'm a time-waster. I spend most of my time in cities talking in Trade. Rofl. But she's 70! Being 70 is scary, imo. But I ran my first heroic today! It was fun, despite the fact that the tank wouldn't wait for me to mana up. As the result of running BGs lately, I got my first epix. Decided on shoulders because my existing ones weren't for healing, just for casting in general. And they were butt-ugly. D: My new ones are prittishiiiniiieee.

It annoys me that she's wearing so many different colours, though. Everything used to match, lol. So... My +healing is 886 at the moment, so I'll keep BGing it up until I get to about 1300, when my guild has told me I can raid. Wootsauce.

I didn't get to get a screencap of her hitting 70 because it happened accidentally. I was doing Ring of Blood in Nagrand and suddenly I was 70. Lulz.

Wasn't the "Love Is In The Air" (aka Valentine's Day) event supposed to start today?  The official WoW page lists it as Feb. 10-15, but I'm not seeing any innkeepers or guards with hearts over their heads.  Am I missing something?  Is there some "starter" quest (as with the Lunar Festival) that then opens everything else up?

My dear Karosette is now only a couple of bars from 49. I read about the Ghost Sabre & want one, but levelling a pet up from 20 to 48 seems like too much of a pain. I might, however, tame a wolf in the Hinterlands. & tame some other miscellaneous beasts to teach my Night Sabre Dash & Prowl.

I ran through ZF twice last night. Both were PuGs, and both were good! :) The first run through, no one had the mallet, so we did everything but the pool area. The second time, we DID have the mallet. Well, I had 2 quests in which I needed to get items from Hydromancer Velratha. She's supposed to patrol the pool area. She. was. not. there. We cleared that entire area before ringing the gong, and she was nowhere to be found. I looked on thottbot afterwards and read that sometimes she simply doesn't appear? WTH? Apparently it has been like that for a while, so why hasn't that been fixed? It's just annoying that a quest mob simply ISN'T THERE sometimes. I'm going to try and go again tonight, hopefully she'll be there this time . . .

So... I did a noobish thing earlier tonight. Misclicked when buying badge rewards and accidentally bought the wrong thing. Cursing myself, I petitioned a GM right away, hoping that my swift report would ensure they swapped it for me. GM got back to me just as I was zoning into TK, saying that because I'd reported right away they'd swap my item. Success! He told me that he was deleting the one in my bags and mailing me the correct item. During a raid break, I flew out to Stormspire to check my mail and, lo and behold, the mail is there but there's no attachment. So, I panic all over again and submit another grovelling ticket. Just as I'm zoning back into TK to restart, I see a /poke emote from some name I don't recognise.

Gotta be the most fun GM encounter I've ever had (never seen one 'in the flesh' before) and was totally worth the repair bill/10 minutes of wasted time. Plus, we got Kael to p5 for the first time tonight! He's SO going down this week.

So after me stepping away from raiding a couple of weeks ago; tonight my guild paid a visit to SSC, one shotted lurker, and wanted to have a crack at hydross. The guild has killed him once, and he needed to die again! Only they were a tank down.. so they asked me if i would mind terribly coming along and helping out. So I went. And in some ways it was a pretty crappy raid - a couple of shaky attempts to start, then we got him to 4%; then 1%; then had what looked like a flawless attempt - until someone pulled hydross across the line at around 25%, and we wiped. After that it was really downhill; people were tired and it was showing, so the raid was called.

But the odd thing.. this was the most fun I've had for a while in a raid. In fact, going back months, raiding hasn't felt particularly fun at all - but tonight, even though it was one of those frustrating "are we going backwards?" raids, I really had fun! So, big yay!

I'm still not by any means at the point where I can face a normal raiding schedule again - but I do actually feel that it's on the cards now. I was SO RIGHT to take a break. Another couple of weeks, and I can see myself getting back into the swing and loving it again! :D
