Wow_Ladies: Girl Gamers of World of Warcraft

My family is planning to get a third account to let the children play on (and, incidentally, to move our best enchanter to so we can use her to enchant the rest of our characters). At the moment, two of the children's characters are on my account, and two are on his.

Our address is the same, the credit card paying our accounts is the same, our surnames are the same, but (as is usually the case*) our first names are different. My account is under my name, his is under his.

I can't find anyplace that says anything other than "the name on both accounts must be the same to transfer characters." Does this mean the four children's characters can't be moved to the new account, despite the fact that we can document that we're not trying to sell anything to anybody?

*My midwife and his wife had the same name, so I feel I needed to add the parenthetical statement. TMI, I know.

* Guild Leader's Birthday, so playing a "drinking game" during raid - Check

* 1st Time Downing Azgalor after our 2nd night of attempts and our first T6 pieces - Check

* Baby Priest dinging 68 in Sethekk Halls making me only 2 levels away from 70 (my 3rd) - Check

I gotta say, last night was a good night.

A friend of mine used to work at a GameStop and he gave me a ton of crap. I used to have a giant cardboard BE 'lock from the BC promotion, various other promotional things like maps and I can't even recall what else, have various pins (ya know, like you would stick on your backpack or jacket or something) and a horde shirt. None of which has ever been displayed. So who else has WoW related stuff and do you wear it? Do you show off your gamer girl geekdom or hide it in the closet?

So, after all thats happened.. Heroes of Legend went into Karazhan last Tuesday.. and as of last night, Officially cleared the place! It was awesome. I only missed out on one guild first kill.. [and yes, I cried!] but, it was still a good feeling to clear it! Tuesday we did Hunstman-Opera, Thursday we did Curator, Nightbane, Friday we did Shade, Illhoof, Chess and Prince, and last night we did Netherspite! =)

Yesterday my priest hit 60 and is heading to Outlands!  Very exciting.  She's my fourth character to hit 60 and once she hits 70, I'll have one character of each play style - melee dps, ranged dps, tank and healer.  It's been a good week in terms of personal progression.  My warrior OTed another Kara run, and actually MTed Maiden, Curator, and Illhoof.  I got her tier helm and epic belt off Moroes, and only need two badges for a cloak upgrade.  I'm also farming mats for an epic craftable gun.  I can't say enough how much I'm enjoying tanking.  It's just too much fun, though the repair bills are intense.  I hadn't realized that you're basically guaranteed a sizable repair bill even if you don't die - when we reached the repair NPC before Chess, I'd only died twice but my gear was at 45% for a 10g repair bill.  Ouch!

Vashj down to less than 5% twice last night.

Just blogging my frustration and annoyance. It takes skill to stay alive, not just healers.

It can just be so frustrating to do everything I'm supposed to do, time and time again one of the last people alive, and have her literally within 2 seconds of dying, when the "enrage" gets to be too much and all our dps is dead. My flame shocks are just not enough.

sigh. this week.

So, last night, my guild went to MH to do Azgalor quick before ducking back to BT for Bloodboil and RoS. We had three rogues, so we went for the boss distract technique to get a bit more time before the pull - unfortunately the first distract failed, the second rogue came out of stealth somehow and I (the third rogue) got one-shot in the commotion. Azgalor went down quickly, which was nice, but because of the trash, we had it on group loot, and guess what dropped? Shady Dealer's Pantaloons. And guess where the rogues were? Out of range. The other two rogues passed on them anyway, but I really wanted them, so one of the RL's took them and petitioned a GM. He almost immediately got a message saying "Your ticket has been escalated", and yet, 14 hours later, nothing has happened. The ticket is still there, still escalated, and not a word from a GM.

Does "escalated" in fact mean "Piss off, we're busy"? WTF. I want my damned trousers :(

I've been considering of late to try a RP server. Any of you girls here can point me to any directions and as well as tips and a "not to do" list?

Here's my specifications

1) I'm in Asia, hence on Oceanic timing
2) I'm spoilt since by PvE servers after transferring from PvP. So I'm looking for an RP PvE
3) Im largely a casual player as I tend to get bored easily(and then roll tons of alts)

While I played D&D with my friends in RL(we do RP), how similar it is to RP in WoW? What are the rules and restrictions? What if in the midst of say questing with a friend, I need to AFK for the loo, food... etc?

The intensive 2 day rep rush has taught me who to avoid in pugs. Since I'll be going for Keepers of Time next, I'm pretty sure I'll see some of them again.

In other news, Fishing and Cooking hits 225 :D 300 here I come~

With the recent hacking and then banning of my WoW account, I've been pretty bored. My grades are better than ever and the house is cleaner than normal, but I'm still really bored.

Until tonight, anyhow! My boyfriend, being amazing like he is, is going to buy another copy of the game, make a second account in his name, transfer his level 48 Nelf priest to it, and give the account to me as a belated birthday/please-stop-being-emo-about-having-nothing-to-play-but-Portal present. :D

I lost 2 70 druids, a 70 hunter, 70 mage, and a 70 priest and while a level 48 priest might seem a little meager to someone else, I'm excited as hell to get to play again, ESPECIALLY with the upcoming PvP changes.

I've been playing WoW for almost a year.  Just recently I've (along with my best friend and her hubby) ventured into PvP.  While I understand the point of PvP is to kill the other faction, I don't understand how it's 'such fun' to camp my corpse when you're at least 15 lvl's above me.  I don't understand a raid on the semi-starter (20's) area and decimate it.   

You just wait until I get my Fire Mage up to 70.  There will be hell to pay!  And I won't wimp out and go for the starter areas that don't get me any honor.  Oh no- I'll come and kill people of equal stature.

Are there any short-sleeved white dresses, or short-sleeved white shirts and skirts? The closest I can think of is the Mooncloth Robe but I can't have ModelViewer here at work.

Recently I've been having some thoughts about servers and city populations.

On the first server I ever rolled Horde on (Gilneas PvE) Silvermoon was dead. Deader than dead. You'd generally only find below-20 Blood Elves there. On the server I'm on now (Moon Guard RP-PvE) you can't use an inn as a shortcut during peak hours if you don't want to run through a room packed wall-to-wall with roleplayers.

On the two servers I've really played Alliance, (the aforementioned Gilneas and Blackwater Radiers RP-PvE), the city populations were in about the same order: Ironforge, Stormwind, Darnassus, and Exodar.

So, what are the average city populations, Alliance or Horde, ordered greatest to least, on your server?

The last time I posted, I asked for advice on good Alliance-side servers to transfer to.
I liked one but at the last second I decided to not transfer at all and just restart HORDE!

So, I'm now leveling my lvl 27 Undead Mage (Nynea - Burning Legion), with my hubby's 27 'Lock and enjoying every second of it!
(There she is on my icon!)There's alot of refreshingly awesome aspects to being horde.
After playing for a year, I was always alliance, so discovering all horde territory and horde quests is like opening a brand new game ^_^

I also had never thought that Horde would be such friendly, mature people. I had the preconcieved notion that they'd be snooty for some reason lol, sorry :)

Anyway, if any of you gals are on Burning Legion, say Hi! :)


For The Horde!

I love in-game holidays so very very much! Why? I don't know - but they are special to me.

It might have something to do with the fact that they are something I can do while I read for class, like flying around from place to place or waiting an hour for a debuff to wear off so I can kiss more guards or something. Easter isn't like that though.

I just love holidays! And costumes. I love costumes.

I need help finding an addon that will let me put chat channels in their own tabs, mistyping things to potential recruits is a Bad Thing.

I just tried ChatMod and can't figure out how to get the channel I want in the tab I create, or how to turn off the level of the person talking.

Any suggestions?

edit: lol, so I'm stupid and didn't realize you could make your own channel tabs, I never noticed the whole "filter" thing. Thanks everyone!

I finally dinged 70 on my frost mage yesterday, yay. Tomorrow I'll be getting my first piece of S1, the robe, and I have no clue on what types of gems to get. I figured stam is a must.. but.. anything else? Spell dmg, pen, crit? Lil clueless when it comes to pvp gear via the mage. Any suggestion will help, even the names of the gems, lol. And yes, I'm pretty much full frost. I've learned that apparently spell dmg is better for my spec than spell crit.

My little horde priest is now 60, and just her fanciest piece of gear yet, the tome of shadow force, which I won't be replacing until she has the badges for orb of the soul eater. I bought a cheesy spell damage dagger on the AH to use until I can get the mace to drop from BF. I'm really excited to be in outlands with her. I got her tailoring and enchanting to 300, and the last 20-30 points of enchanting were painful as hell, everyone goes to outland at 58 so there's very little stuff that DEs into illusion dust and eternal essences, and I'd grind and grind and hardly get any greens. I did get a purple ring in silithus, but no one wants to buy it. QQ. But! once I get the fel iron rod made I never have to deal with those enchanting mats again. Need a couple more shards (one of which I should get from DEing the necklace I'm wearing) and one more eternal essence.

My NE hunter is lvl 56, and she's been stuck around that level for awhile for a couple of reasons, I was on a PVP server and got ganked so much I quit playing her until we found a pve server that we liked and then I paid to transfer her so now I'm playing her again. Second reason is I'm to cheap to pay for transferring any of my other chars and I've been working on leveling up their "alts" on the new server. Anyway, I try to work on my alts during the day and my husband and I have been playing our mains when he's off work (evenings and weekends) and we're finally getting somewhere with them, whoot.

So today, we logged on and checked out the Lunar Festival, and while we're in Moon Glade, they're calling for people to take down Omen. We think "what the hell, let's see if they'll take us" and lo and behold, a very nice lvl 70 let us join his/her raid. I don't remember the RL's name, and we'd all disbanded and I'd logged before I thought to go back and check the log for it, I think it was Kharnian or something similar, so if you're reading this post, thanks a lot.

It was chaotic, and busy, and I died a lot, but it was also freaking awesome!!

The little minions came out, and that was fine, we took them down easily enough, and I had no death issues, lol. But suddenly Omen was there and jeez, I'd never seen so many DoT's on a mob, AND his health just wasn't going down, but at the end he finally went down. I also have to say, the RL mentioned above also tanked him, and did such a wonderful job, held his aggro constantly despite everyone else constantly beating on him.

Anyway, just had to share because no one on my regular journal would understand, and it was just such a great experience!
