Friday night I did my first "real" instance run. I went with 4 other guildies to Shadowfang Keep. I completely forgot about the Robes of Arugal in my excitement, and another guildie won the roll for them. The run was fantastic, well organized & fun, so I asked another guildie & her hubby to run me through again tonight so *I* could get the robes. It ended up being Guild Priestess, me, and 3 others who were LFG: a warlock, a warrior, & another priest. We decided the other priest would heal, warrior would tank, Guildie would Shackle, & us two locks would DPS and switch off on health stoning and soul stoning.

We wiped once before even hitting the courtyard. The second time we wiped was just after the soul stone wore off of our rezzing priest and before I could put on a new one. We all ran back inside. Dem & the other priest weren't moving. Then *poof* they disappeared. Disconnected from the server. Lock, warrior & I hung for a while, hoping they'd come back, but they didn't. So we had to call it a night, as two DPSers & a tank, all level 21, do not make a good group.

Even though the beginning & end were frustrating, I liked the group. I added the lock & warrior to my friends list so we can quest/instance together again. They were mature and intelligent, and open to suggestion on their playing. I also dinged 21 while inside! I just want those robes. *cries*

@the thunderdouche in Skettis last night:

I'm glad to know that you wanted to do the escort SO badly that you not only broke my CC on the ambush, but also dropped your pain train of 4 arrakoa on me, resulting in the death of the Skyguard Prisoner and me failing the quest.  I did see you promptly fly back to the cage and take the escort, and then proceed to watch me dismember the mobs you decided to dump on me.  I'm glad I could help you unwittingly clear the trash allowing you to rather easily complete the quest.  Yes, I did survive despite your best efforts.

And that, my dear Bip or Beep or whatever the sweet blue fuck your name was, is why I camped you for the better part of an hour when you showed up, lo and behold, 5 hours later to kill those oh-so-difficult guards in Crossroads.  Instant karma's gonna get you, like the song says.  Oh, and if you're going to try and bluewall me, at least have the decency to stunlock me first so I don't turn around and transform you into a portable pincushion.  My raptor enjoys the taste of gnome.

L2 not piss me off, k thx bai.

Kisses,
Zjinga

Oh, and hay, you gaiz know the servers are down, rite?  LAWL.

Arcane?

So, out of boredom I created a mage. I've always wanted to play a mage, but since I've been leather- and mail-wearing classes in the past, I got frustrated with being squishy and have given up on past mages. But I really like this one for some reason (I think it's the hoop earrings).

Anyway, I'm to the point that I have to start specing, and I'm thinking about going arcane. Are there any pros/cons? You always hear the frost and fire mages annoying each other about who's better, but arcane kinda slips under the radar and I'm interested!

Care to help out?

Hello, ladies!

I've noticed that a lot of ladies on here have gotten really good responses with these types of posts, so I figured I'd go along with it!

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to roll a horde alt on Korgath and come sign my guild charter? :D Sure, I'm only a level one, but I'm making an alt guild for my fiancee and I, and I haven't gotten too much luck from offering gold in trade chat for signatures, lol. My character's name is Kanaera, and I'm currently stationed in the northern part of The Bazaar in Silvermoon City, right outside the AH hut thing STARTING ZONE! If you could help, it'd be really fantastic!

Thanks in advance!!! ♥♥♥♥♥

Edit: I moved back to the starting zone, lol. :P Thanks to the two that have already come out! ♥

Edit #2: Got them all. Thanks again!!!! ♥

RP Guild Recruiting!

I'm looking to start my first RP-PVP guild Hordeside on Cenarion Circle, and wanted to know if any ladies here, on CC would like to join, or at least help me collect signatures for the charter I have just purchsed. If you are interested in either, /tell Sitis, I'll be on most of today and tomorrow!

[Blood Red Dawn] is:
A small band of like-minded individuals started by Magister Sitis Dal'driel, a positive and fairly feisty Sin'dorei who seeks to make a name for herself in the ranks of the Horde.

I'm interested in people who want to do heavy RP-PVP and just general playtime. Good writing, punctuation and storytelling a must and friendly attitude also helpful! Understanding of your class is good as well.

Because my main is Alliance-side, this would be perfect for people who have Horde RP alts, or less play time, as I will not be on as often.

If anyone here can help out with the signatures, that would be GREATLY appreciated.

Edit: Only 5 more signatures needed! Thank you Moonsfire and [info]chiss, my first real member :D

Obligatory Game Over

Despite losing our MT two days ago in a fit of drama, we downed Illidan today. I didn't expect it to be a kill as it was only our second time reaching phase 3, but there he went. I can see now why people call it an anticlimactic fight, especially from a rogue PoV it was rather boring. But honestly I don't give a hoop, I'm extremely happy and glad that I decided to stick around in this guild, as it turned out to be a very enjoyable group of people to play with after a few bumps in the road. I never reached deep endgame before TBC and I was always dissapointed at that, I made a hard choice (switching guilds) to ensure I would see it this time. No regrets! Hopefully we still have a bit of time to farm before sunwell comes out. I need to draw a blindfolded baz avatar next >:D

Roleplaying?

I apologize if this is a noobish question but as far as the RP servers go on WoW, how much RP'ing actually goes on? I ask this because I only recently bought BC and made a Draenai character and I love her. She reminds me so much of my twi'lek from SWG and their background storyline is cool enough that I could see myself really enjoying RP again. I don't want to go on though and have people look at me like I have 2 heads if I start talking in character.

WOOT!

I have dinged 60 on my third toon :) yes, I know, I still have the long grind to 70 and the gear-up, but right now?

I bask.

And I was a mere 15g and 7k rep short of being able to buy my epic mount right away for this one, but I'm not worried. My NElf druid shall have her purple elekk!!!

that is all :)

New to the higher levels ...

... and a bit lost.

First question/questions. I'm a little confused as re:socketing. I just got my first few pieces of socketed gear as quest rewards in Zangarmarsh, and there are some things that are obviously good to socket priest gear with. I'm a bit confused on hit rating vs. spell crit or spell hit rating, though - spell hit is obviously what I want to be aiming for, right? Is that the same as spell damage? And is spell crit good or bad for a shadow priest?

Here's my armory. We're going to run BF and Slave Pens this week with my guild, so I might find upgrades in there, but we'll see. I'd still like to know what gems I should look for. I will eventually be running Kara once I'm keyed and geared.

This leads to my second question. Can anyone recommend a good spot to farm primal fire? I've found a decent spot to farm primal shadow and I can fish up motes of water. I am a tailor, so obviously I'll be looking toward the FSW set when I get high enough (which will be really soon - I'm 323 tailoring atm). I've already got a couple primal shadows, but the only spots listed on places like WoWhead to farm primal fire are in Blade's Edge. Should I just wait a couple levels and start farming them then?

Thanks a lot in advance, you guys are always really helpful. ^^

WoW Insider

Although I play very little at the moment, my guild on Nagrand was mentioned on WoW Insider.

"Burning Dragoons on Nagrand-A is apparently one of those guilds that's bleeding players because they're not raiding-- the GM and a few officers left the guild because they wanted to start raiding. Apparently the new GM wants to start raiding, but a few of the members are concerned that they can't stay casual and raid at the same time, and our tipster posted the question to me: can you stay casual and still have a raiding group going on? I'd say yes-- it only takes 10 people to raid Karazhan, and there's more than enough room in a guild for 10 raiders and a bunch of other casual players (hell, I raid Kara and SSC with my guild occasionally, but I consider myself a casual player). But I'll leave the question to you commenters: can a guild be raiding and still be casual?"

It's true.  I joined in October last year after quitting my Horde server (Sen'Jin) and then quitting the game completely for a couple of months.  A guild recruitment post on the Realm forums really caught my attention and I started playing again.

I ask you this, fair ladies.  Do you believe that a guild can raid and still be considered casual?
