Backstory:
Guild is reasonably small, as the GM used to be the only one who could invite.
He screened new recruits prior to inviting them; grouped with them, asked a guild member to group with them, find out what they were like, etc...
As a consequence, we had a guild full of non-netspeaking, mature, helpful people.
Then he gave invite privileges to other members, and they started inviting anyone they thought looked cool.
The one in question that's bugging me: Recently one of our lvl 70s invited his little brother to the guild.
His little brother is an ASS. Seriously, he's the type that if I'd ended up in a PUG with him I'd have /ignored him almost immediately.
He can't/won't speak in anything BUT netspeak, he's rude, he thinks it's funny to constantly call people "n00bs" or do that stupid "lern 2 play" shite every time ANYONE asks a question in guild chat, and his favorite phrase is "lol fagz!"
I don't find that phrase offensive, just irritating as he says it
all the goddamned time! Not only that, but in addition to him, his older brother invited all of this kid's equally as irritating friends. They're ALL LIKE THAT!
We've already lost about 10 guild members over them. I left my last guild due to an influx of idiots like that, and really did like this guild until the group of brats were invited.
The 70 and the GM are on really good terms so I'm not exactly sure how to go about saying, "Man, seriously, kick these little bastards, they're pissing everyone but *name of the guy who invited them* off; they're immature little bratlings."
What's even worse is that nobody in guild chat will tell these brats to STFU because they don't want to piss off Mr. Popular 70 Rogue. Oh, they'll bitch about the kids in party chat and in tells, but won't actually say anything.
I HAVE made comments in guild chat, not rude ones, but just "please knock it off" type stuff only to have the "lol fagz! omg lighten up! imma jokeing!!" comments made in return.
Any ideas on how to bring this up to the GM without causing a guild explosion?
