    Okay What happened?
    I logged on today and saw most of my friends are gone and can't find seem to see anything as to why people left. Is there something I missed? Something that happened? What's the 411?

    MIA >.
    So I figured I'd post here so you guys don't kick me out of the guild.

    Clinica will be MIA until I have money and can buy a new game card. ;_; My 18th birthday is this coming Saturday so hopefully this will happen soon.

    I love the guild, I love the server (minus its weird, idiosyncratic lag issues), so I haven't abandoned you.

    ;_; Everyone must have outleveled me!

    Hope to play with you all again soon.

    Just posting a notice here.
    I've made a new guild rank called "MIA" - If you're 20 days inactive, I'll dump you in that bucket (unless you're active and the character in question is an alt). If you're 40 days inactive, then... we can only assume you've moved on to greener pastures and we'll initiate clean-up.

    Anyone have the patch yet so I can re-host it up? or is it so small that it's not worth it?

    So, what up yo? Been peeking over at the wosguild.org at work, seeing some activity. I thought I'd drop a line here and ask how are things going? Any issues?

    Just a brief notice - posted in wosguild news.
    As of this morning, Veterans now have the ability to invite to the guild. I don't think I need to remind anyone because I'm sure that we're all aware, we're looking for quality over quantity. I would especially appreciate it if the veterans can add "Blackshun" aka [info]i_am_stillwater to their friends list and get him invited. I seem to keep missing him.

    The guild is picking up steam, several people are in their 20s and in range of being able to do wailing caverns/deadmines and soon shadowfang keep.

    Bags have been distributed slowly but surely, if you need bags... post in the Ask for help? thread. We're working on it. I can't guarentee that you'll be pimped out in 16 slot bags, but if I have a spare 12 - 14 slotter laying around, I'll do what I can. If you're tired of waiting, feel free to take a look at the materials needed and send it to Zueli and I'll get them made asap.

    Another reminder that as of March 31st to April 8th, my online time will be somewhat sketchy as [info]artana is coming to visit me IRL. I will be on long enough to check mail, auctions and see if anyone needs anything please drop me a line or post something on the boards. I will be checking them a lot.

    Veterans: The command to invite, in case you haven't done it before is simply: /ginvite <name> (without the < >).

    If you haven't already, please sign up on http://www.wosguild.org/ - I realize this LJ community is convienent, but there are people in the guild that don't belong to LJ, has never heard of LJ and may or may not care about LJ.

    Thanks!

    http://www.wosguild.org/ is now live and functioning. If it's not active for you just yet, don't panic. DNS still needs to push out into the great wide web.

    Current members of [info]wosguild, I would appreciate if you'd register. The forums are little bit more organized (and searchable) compared to the LJ community created here. As I mentioned earlier, if you want to use this community as one-off conversations, that's fine. If there's any issues, please notify me!

    New members, sign up here.

    Edit: If you're still having issues, please drop a line here...

    God I Miss the screaming ...
    Yes yes, I'm watching Harry Potter movies until the patches come up. Seems that everything should be up at 3pm not the normal 1pm due to they didn't realize how big the patch is. Now I'm not bitching really. I just question something. If you patch, had it on a test realm, and you knew how much it was before implimenting it. Then how didn't you realize how big it was? Just curious. I won't be crawling the walls for access until about maybe 6 pm tonight. I thought I would pose question while we're waiting. *smiles and gives hugs* oh well see ya all on the flip side

    BTW - times are Central standard time :>

    Counterstrike touched us all in a bad, bad place.
    This entry is about Phone Sex.

    Whereby Phone = Teamspeak and Sex = WoW.

    Now, I just visited http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads and the faq page.

    But I don't understand a damned thing. I use windows XP, so I guess I have to download the XP version... but which one? Why are there three downloads?

    And the FAQ mentions something about ports.... http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=faq&id=4&item=16#q16
    The only ports I really know about have something to do with the USB mouse.... and not the damned numbers.

    Please help. You can't have phonesex without the phone... and sex is just plain boring without the sounds of screaming and moaning and "ALRIGHT! LET'S DO THIS! LEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOY! JHEHEN-KEEENS!"

    xpost to worldofwarcraft. :)

    With those two pieces I'll have the entire Calico set!

    If you could, please keep an eye out for me?

    Instance listings
    I wrote this up for [info]artana, thought I'd share with you all. This is the instance listings to the best of my knowledge (I don't think I forgot anything) with rough estimates of when you should feel safe enough to step inside them.

    * RFC (15ish) - No Alliance quest available
    * WC (20ish) - Mostly horde, but alliance can get a few quests
    * Deadmines (20ish) - No horde quests available
    * Stockades (20ish) - No horde quest available
    * BFD (mid-20ish)
    * Shadowfang Keep (late 20ish) - Mostly horde, but alliance have a few quests (mostly class quests - Paladins/Warlocks)
    * Razorfen Kraul (late 20-early 30)
    * Gnomeragen ("Rig Wars" - early 30s) - Mostly alliance, but horde have quests here
    * SM Library (Early 30s)
    * SM Armory (Mid 30s)
    * Razorfen Down (Mid-Late 30s)
    * SM Cathedral (Late 30s-Early 40s)
    * Uldaman (mid 40s)
    * Maraudon (48+)
    * BRD (50s)
    * Sunken Temple (50s)
    * Scholomance (58+) - 5 man or raid (next patch, 5 man only)
    * Stratholme (58+) - 5 man or raid (next patch, 5 man only)
    * LBRS (58+) - 5 man or 10 man raid
    * Dire Maul (58+) - only 5 man, no raid allowed.
    * UBRS (58+ - currently up to 15, 10 man raid next patch)
    * MC (58+, 40 man)
    * Zul'Gurub (58+, 20 man)
    * Onyxia (58+, 40 man)
    * BWL (60+, 40 man)
    * AQ20, (58+, 20 man)
    * AQ40, (60, 40 man)

    Something to remember. When a player is level 48, level 60s stop impacting XP suckage. Meaning that it's equal XP between all of the party members, even a level 60. Level 48 quests are still "green" to level 60s.

    Just a note...
    For those of you that may be getting scared off or discouraged, please be patient. We're just hashing out suggestions and such, nothing more. I was hoping to keep the guild loot rules down to one thread (the one on the polls), but I'm certainly not going to stop or discourage any of you from creating your own threads.

    I just need you (particularly the veterans and officers) to phrase your wordings carefully. These are all just "discussions" and should be treated as such.

    In short:
    NOTHING HAS BEEN DECIDED / FINALIZED / WRITTEN IN STONE. Do not panic. :)

    Suggested Guild Loot Rules
    I know I posted some of these in an earlier thread, and realistically these are simply my suggested ideas concerning loot and loot distribution. I went ahead and polished them up as much as I could and tried to clarify what I could so it is painfully clear what our intentions are concerning any future runs. I believe these to be honest and fair rules to run by and leave little in the way of guesswork on any part. These are NOT SET IN STONE and NOT HOW WE DO THINGS... Yet.

    Again these rules apply most to any PuG's we host as a guild and we should hold firm to the adherence of these rules for the sake of sanity and fairness. Whatever our future rules we should make an effort to post them up beforehand such that all party/raid members are aware of our intentions concerning the run. In guild only runs I usually toss out the loot limits if a guildie can benefit from the items in question; Though I make sure everyone is okay with this beforehand such that they understand the reasons for doing what we do as the ML.

    Please feel free to comment on these suggestions so we may as a guild grow strong. Thank you.

    Loot Rules (pre-Endgame):

    * Master Looter w/Rare on trash mobs and Uncommon on bosses.

    * Limit of 1 Blue (Rare)/Purple (Epic) and 1 Set (Class gets priority); There is no limit on BoP Uncommons (though Class get priority on items that benefit them); Consumable items of Rare quality or higher do not count toward this limit (IE Doomshot from LBRS)

    * All BoE's of Rare quality or higher to be held by ML until the end of the raid; Classes get priority on BoE Set pieces or BoE items that benefit their class (IE Bows/Guns to Hunters, Daggers to Rogues, Etc.); Any remaining items will be up for Greed by all participants that did not receive a Blue/Purple of any kind during the run (BoE's for alts does not count as a Need and must be won accordingly as a Greed item).

    * All unwanted BoP's will be randomed by the ML and the option to shard given (if an enchanter is available); This will not count toward the limit of 1 Blue/Purple or Set, but will exclude that person from Greed rolls at the end of the run.

    * All BoE's of Uncommon quality are yours to pick up and do as you please, however we request you be considerate with any Formula/Plans/Recipes/Schematics that may drop -- Professions with sufficient skill level and specialization have priority in receiving these items and learning them on the spot if they don't already know it (in the case of more than one person being available to receive a FPRS, all eligible participants will roll for the item in question); BoE Uncommons that drop off of bosses will be randomed by the ML and distributed accordingly.

    * All locked/unlocked chests will be randomed by the ML.

    Special Cases (pre-Endgame):

    * Abomination Stitchings (Stratholme) will be rolled on by appropriate classes that are on the Epic item quest before and distributed accordingly with priority on the highest to lowest rolled; No more than one of these will be distributed to the same person until all eligible participants have at least one.

    * Brilliant Chromatic Scales (UBRS) will be held by the ML and rolled upon at the end of the raid; Only the appropriate classes (Hunter, Paladin, Shaman or Warrior) that are on the Epic item quest, or Dragonscale Leatherworkers with Chromatic Cloak/Gauntlets will be allowed to roll on these items, and they do not count toward their limit of Blue/Purple; No more than one of these will be distributed to the same person until all eligible participants have at least one; If no participants are eligible for these items the ML reserves the right to either hold the items for the Guild Bank (for purposes of assisting guild members with their quests/craft) or open these items up for distribution during the Greed portion.

    (( Personal Opinion: As an aside if I catch any Rogue Engineers or Clothies rolling Need on these without Dragonscale Leatherworking I will find a way to stab them repeatedly in the face to remind them how much I think of them as a person; Brilliant Chromatics are so few and far between and too damn expensive to be wasted on dumbasses who don't deserve them in the first place. ))

    * Corruptor Scourgestones (Scholomance/Stratholme) will be randomed by the ML; No more than one of these will be distributed to the same person until all eligible participants have at least one.

    (More items to be added once I remember.)

    Edit: Made things painfully clear what I meant by suggestions.

    Discussions of the guild bank
    I know that Jinee has asked me a few times if we have a guild bank yet. The answer is, no we don't. We will soon. I want to get some guild bank rules established first. There's not a lot of rules here, but here's what I have seen makes a guild bank useful.

    Things the guild bank loves:
    • Mid-High Recipes/patterns/plans/forumlas/whatever
    • Class Books (Arcane Brillance, Prayer of Fort, etc)
    • Class trinket books
    • Librams
    • Faction building stuff
    • Reagents - (Hearts of Fire, Brilliant Chromatic Scales, etc)
    • Money - guild bank will use money to buy bank slots.
    • Ace Darkmoon Cards - got a spare ace? We'll keep it for someone who is working on a deck to be used (not sold).
    • Poiples
    • Class items (bracers, etc) - these will get handed out to whomever the highest class is at that time.
    • Scarabs, ZG coins, etc

    Things the guild bank hates:
    • Bags (unless they're 14-18 slot bags for the guild bank char to use)
    • Green items (of the bear, of the eagle, of the whale, of the useless animal) - Bank char will just auction these off and keep the money.
    • Random Blues. Really, just do yourself a favor and just sell it. If you really want to, ask around /g channel if you want to be generous.
