Evigilo -- A Ferngully Fan-Poem

Ta-da! A Ferngully fan-poem for all you fairy-lovers! ^_^

Now, what is the poem about, you ask? It's a little preview of an upcoming "Ferngully" fanfiction that I'm working on. I'm not gonna spoil anything for you, but I will say this: my character Damon is a "black fairy" (an agent of Hexxus--ironic, isn't it?) that has awakened in the Blue Grotto from a century-long sleep. He resurfaces to the land above & enters Ferngully. His life is then changed forever when he meets Crysta & sees the world of nature's beauty around him for the first time...beauty that he was supposed to destroy.

Evigilo

Evigilo atra aqua
Infra niteo stella
Niger circumvenio me
Is noctis? Cogito dies!

Avis clamo desuper
Navi humus, lautus lucis
Flora et bestia passim
Necnon...spiritus! Parilis me!

Ibi unus spiritus, puella,
Cum niger capillus et viridis oculus
Id evolo obviam me cum argentum pennum
Et increpito me "saluto"...

Sentio instigo interfectum illiam,
Tanquam niger diabolus penitus me
Id iussum interfectum spiritus
Et totus flora et bestia, quoque!

Tamen nequeo...

Yes, that poem was written in Latin. But fear not--I have a literal translation available for anyone who needs it. ^_^

It would make more sense with a translation I think...otherwise it's just a bunch of latin words. But I like latin, it makes everything seem all that more serious. 8D

Is Damon a girl? Because only women are fairies in FernGully. All the men are elves. O:

Either way, this looks fairly interesting. ;) I shall keep an eye out for it.

No, Damon's a boy. *tee-hee* So technically, yes, he would be an elf, going by your / Diana Young's definition. ^^;;

But thanks for all your feedback; I hope to have the fanfiction up soon. :-)
