Easy goings while I rest.
Hawaii... is busy!
But thankfully I got some time to rest and watch a few things here on their TV and then sure enough, WoW commercials. Got me thinkin all over of what to do with the game.

I don't think I'm gonna be able to hop onto the SSC/TK/MtHy raiding, since time isn't on my side, and I'm working currently on my Paladin, Lv 63 as an AoE Protadin, and debatin what other classes to level with. I did delete my warrior, 54 ish but eh, I can remake it sure enough.

So I'm debating what classes to stick to without spreading myself too thin. I want to have FUN with the game but at the same time enjoy a bit of PvP and PvE without needing to focus so much on it. People are just so into the game that they forget it IS a game.

So in that, I've settled on trying to stick to only 3 characters for getting leveled. Of which they are:

Paladin (Blood Elf)
Mage (Blood Elf)
Rogue (Troll) (To stand out since Troll Rogues are lacking it seems.)
Hunter (Orc)

Yes, there are 4 there.
That's the problem. I had a 70 Hunter already, and I was quite amazing at the class but after I rerolled, I vowed not to do the class again. But maybe... blargh.

What I've decided so far is this to stick with for the above:
1. Protadin Paladin, as a Ret Paladin doesn't interest me at all.
2. Frost Mage but.. having trouble thinking if I really wanna raid with it should I get the chance since mages are a dime a dozen as well as hunters.
3. Rogue - Everyone loves a good trip inside your opposing faction's cities!
4. Hunter - I'm amazing at it, and I can safely say I am far from a Huntard. BM Spec baby!

So yeah, seems the Paladin and Rogue are sure fire bets but the mage and hunter seem to be coming down to me wanting to do them.

In PvP, seems Mages are the betters as in Frost, and have high survivability so I'm leaning towards them over the hunter.

Anyone else havem this much trouble deciding on characters? X_X

Frost isn't a fair raid spec. It's pretty much fire or bust.
As for trolls, I think every rogue in my guild is a troll. Orcs are a bit less common.

(With all due respect to Beast Masters....)

I'm mad at being a hunter.

My main is a Troll Survival Hunter, and I'm frustrated with raiding. Expose Weakness is an incredible ability, and Survival is far and away the most strategic of the trees... but being consistently outDPSed by the Beast Masters makes me an angry beaver.

Especially because I have to actually think to maximize my DPS output. Them? Steady Shot ftw. I've tried Beast Mastery and found it to be mindless.

Hunters have a bad reputation as being a mindless class... and Blizzard reinforces that image by rewarding mindlessness-spec with the highest DPS output.

This is also true for warriors, rogues, and warlocks. I don't know druid or shaman DPS cycles, and all the other classes only have one DPS spec.

So, um, I guess mages are the only ones where the simplest spec to play is also the most effective?

but survival hunters are utility/support spec... they help others do more damage rather than doing pure damage on their own.

Enjoy what you do, and do it well, don't worry about how you compare with others if you're not the same spec as them.

*sigh*

cue all the huntard comments, bitching about specs, ect that comes along with any hunter discussion. I started MM, and respecced BM not too long ago to help with higher end raids (and to even out our guild--we had all BM specs, and while that works solo, all the same hunter in a group didn't work for us). I've actually found it a bit more difficult. Being an MM hunter from birth, my pet, honestly, I saw as a way to keep things back while I shot them in the face. Now my pet is my main source of DPS, soo....I keep forgetting that pet ded=me not really doing anything, although shooting does help. lol.

Anyways if i've offended anyone, i'm sorry.

Also, Rogue trolls FTW. Rogues FTW anyways. GL leveling! p^_^p

I'm kind of in a similar situation, though with only two mains right now... 70 paladin and a 70 shaman. Add my 54 druid into the mix, and yeah... confusion. x.x

That said, in spite of all of the class' faults... I think I like my pally the most. I just need to find him a home.

you can't have just one..

well, =I= can't. My main is a Rogue, and my 2nd is a Mage...and I have a bank/Priestess and everything else, somewhere. Mostly I'm leveling my Mage and baby Priest now that the main is just grinding money so I can humor Blizzard's money sink of a fast mount. Play them all for an hour or so a day/when you can. You'll either fall into favorites, play them more, and possibly get rid of the others later, or you'll play them all haphazardly. But most importantly...have fun with them. Don't keep them around just because...unless you want to give the next roll some money from pawning the old char's stuff...
