Bad Day at the Office
Last night, ZA. Go for the eagle boss first, wipe a few times on trash and boss, the gauntlet respawns, we turn our attention to the bear boss. Take out his trash with minimal problem, and start working on the bear boss. Then we hear the following from our hunter:

"That's weird. I suddenly stopped attacking."
"Oh crap, my bow is broken."

And he moves in to melee instead. Our uber Warrior drops a repair bot while tanking so the hunter can repair.

"Why is it taking you so long to repair?"
"I'm selling stuff so I have enough money to repair!"

'Nuff said. And bear boss does go down.

Okay, I've been an idiot and forgotten to repair before a raid (sometimes you just have off days) but who on earth has a broke hunter? They're farmbots. Do a round of dailies in an hour and you should be set.

Oh, and LOL at the hunter just deciding to melee instead of saying "oh shit, sorry, I'm a tard and forgot to repair. Can someone drop a bot?"

	In the hunters defense, I think they were actually in the middle of the bear boss fight. Most people wouldn't think a repair bot would be dropped DURING a fight. However, as above, uber tanker did so. But yeah how the fuck do you break a hunter?? (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

	I do, can't count the number of times I've had my bow at 0% durability and everything else at 60%. Course I repair before raids, but on 5 mans I usually don't bother if my gear isn't low. Sadly, forgetting to check my bow can let me go in with everything else at 70% and my bow almost gone. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Enh, I don't find it to be too bad on my hunter. I raid regularly and use Violet Eye arrows for everything including farming, and I still have about 4100g lying around. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Coming to a raid broke regardless of class is annoying. Not repairing I can see, but if you're raiding you need to maintain a 50-100g buffer. I'm a holy paladin, dailies probably take me longer than the rest of the raid group, but I still manage to not spend all my money before a raid. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	Meh... wings, annoying flappy adds during the fight, elemental damage and a neat gimmick during the fight. I can understand the confusion :) FWIW, I usually break my Petrified Lichen Guard every SM run. But all that silk and low level enchanting materials ... mmmm... (Reply to this) (Parent)

hah. maybe we're in the same guild?!? we'd laugh, then someone would demote the hunter to Street Beggar, then he'd probably get booted, then invited back, then booted again by a different officer, then invited back, promoted to member status, and possibly booted again after that, etc.

one of our pally healers got g-booted 3 times in a span of 10 minutes last week. it was Epic. he said something about shammies, I think...

	You wouldn't happen to play Horde side on Ysera? My guild there is notorious for (jokingly) kicking people out and then inviting them back in. Sometimes they don't even need to say anything, they'll just randomly get kicked. (Reply to this) (Parent)(Thread)

I don't see a horrible problem with obviously showing up to a raid without repairing.
I don't see a horrible problem with dropping a bot right in the middle of a boss fight.
What I do see a problem with is this far into Patch 2.4, a hunter of all classes having to sell stuff out of his inventory to get enough gold to repair.

How can you not have enough spare change on you to just click the anvil icon and be done with it?

If I was the warrior, I wouldn't put the bot right in front of Nalorakk so the hunter had no choice but to get swiped.
