For those interested in the Mana Potions...
ThinkGeek is selling them for $20 for 6, plus shipping, all over the world.

I also am HIDEOUSLY amused at The nutritional information - 6667% of your recommended daily allowance of vitamin B12, 1600% of your B6.... I gotta wonder about some of that.

I didn't realize manapotions.com only sold to U.S. citizens, so at first, my reaction to this post was confusion - why order from thinkgeek when you can order from the official website, since they're the same price? Then I saw the whole "We can only service the U.S." tidbit on the official website. :P

I need to lrn2read, evidently. :P

Fortunate thing about B vitamins (A level Chemistry becoming useful now...) is that they're water-soluble. Means they're not stored in the body long-term since any excess passed out of the body easily enough. So taking in huge amounts of water-soluble vitamins isn't a problem, as such, because it is very difficult to overdose on a water-soluble vitamin.

For example, a 250ml can of Red Bull has 250% RDA of Vitamin B6. And, being gamers, I'm sure we know plenty of people who drink vast amounts of that stuff...

mmm... rockstar:
http://www.rockstar69.com

And surprisingly, the sugar free tastes just as good as the regular (I hate sugar free or diet pops).

Agreed! Sugar free Rockstar tastes pretty decent - and sugar free red bull tastes like ass :/

My personal favorite are the java-flavored drinks from Monster. It's like a super powered Frappucino (I need to cut down on them, but they're the only thing that gets me going in the morning at this point).

I've tried different ones but I always seem to gravitate back towards Rockstar for some reason.

Although there's a pomengranate one out there, don't remember the brand, that I really like.

Vitamin B is awesome for anxiety, also. One weekend when I had to do arenas from my grandmother's house, I took two vitamin B pills to keep me from cussing out my arena teammates (arenas stress me out, hence why I stopped doing them for months). I also asked them nicely not to swear as much as I run sound thru my speakers, but they did anyway. Luckily I kept the volume low, knowing my arena mates wouldn't manage to not swear up a storm. =P

But yeah, Vitamin B is awesome. Cheap prozac imo. =D

<-- neuroscience concentrated psych major; could you cite this "B is awesome for anxiety", or is it just personal experience?

Personal experience. I tried it back in 2003-2004 when I was having some problems from a lot of life changes (moving away from family for the first time, along with my general problems with anxiety anyway, ask my hubby, I'm like a poodle lol). The first time I was so mellow it was funny.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but when it does, it is nice. =P

Off the top of my head, it's a holistic belief that Thiamine and Niacin helps prevent anxiety.

I believe you may mean "wary".

There are a few studies out there that show it could have some basis - but as is true in any scientific research, you can't fucking tell.

Ah, yes, thank you for correcting my spelling mistake. I would have looked foolish otherwise.

there is a LOT of scientific research that is solid and you can definately "tell". it is simply things like holistic meds and acupressure that have very little founding.

I actually ordered these from the main page, and was really disappointed. They're puke green and taste nasty (imo). I bought them because they looked cool not to drink them - but the bottles don't even look that great.

Their website was amusing, though =)

Alas, I get bad headaches from aspartame, so I can't drink it. I'd be all over them if I could drink them.

I'm guessing because the thread was going completely off topic, this is a World of Warcraft community, talking about the mana pots is one thing, discussing opinions on the benefits of Vitamins is another.

I think it's time you took a firm look at the community rules, you're skirting them regularly. Do NOT go off topic and do NOT question a moderators actions here. We have a specific thread for that and it's explained on the profile.

Now, this is being frozen and if you have an issue with it, take it up in the proper fashion.
