So I wake up today and WoW refuses to work. I get the "Unable to start 3D acceleration" message.

I don't understand how this could have happened being that I was playing just yesterday! This ATI card has given so many problems I wish we never bought it >.<

Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this before I accidentally break something?

Edit: Updated to most recent driver and it seems ok. I just remember last time I updated the drivers the card hated it and WoW ran like ass. Wish me luck!

Restart your computer. You were probably using your graphics card by another application that didn't release the graphics card properly. Or maybe it's still open.

I restarted like 10 times and nothing.

Updated the card and am hopeing for the best.

Yeah, then it's probably not that :). I guess it might be as other people are saying - it's overheating or breaking down.

Usually a sign that the video card is having heat issues or has given up the ghost. Take your case off and make sure the video card's fans are spinning while the computer is on. Dust and gunk can clog up the fan and you may need to clean it up.

The drivers shouldn't be an issue since you were playing after a Tuesday patch and problems would more likely arise immediately after that.
