Razorgore 3-man
So we 3-manned Molten Core.

And then we started thinking - what else could we 3-man?

BWL? Nah, Razorgore's adds would eat us alive, we won't have the time to destroy all eggs... ahh, what the hell, let's try anyway.

Warrior on adds, priest on healing, druid on controlling. (Took us a few tries to settle on that.)

We keep dying around 15 eggs or so - the adds get out of control and go chew on the priest, pound him into the ground, then finish chewing up the warrior, and that's that. If only we could keep the priest alive...

...

"Say, can you die within 30yd range of me?"

*squish*

*battleress*

*keep going*

After a while longer...

"So how many eggs are left?"

"Umm... three."

21 seconds later...

...

11 minutes (and quite a few muttered "oh please let's not screw this up now please" type sentences) later...

Yay!

I wonder if we can 3-man Vaelastrasz. If we can figure out a way of living through Burning Adrenaline, we probably can, but I don't know if that's possible.

But then again, we thought the same thing about Razorgore and his adds...

Edit, 29/12: fixed images by hosting them on my domain (please be nice to my bandwidth).

burning adrenaline can not be lived through. only if you have a
b-res.

my guild 8 manned razorgore and we wanted to try vael, but we don't think we can do it through the burning adrenaline

What about, and this seems nutso... getting some soul stones before the fight?

That way y'all can res when one of you dies, and wham, BA is no more?

interesting thought, but it would take a lot of warlocks and some good healers, as the AoE fire damage can kill someone pretty quick right after they res.

My guess from info on screeshots: 17.5 minutes

Can't remember exactly, and can't doublecheck right now (lack of chatlog / combatlog / screenshots).

At a guess, though - Destroy Egg has a 7sec CD and 3sec cast, so 10sec per egg; there's about 30 eggs. So, 5 minutes to destroy eggs, 11 minutes or so to kill Razorgore, add another minute or two (battleress, innervate, control cycles, various and sundry) and [info]sinizuh's estimate of 17.5min sounds about right.

I can ask the priest of the group later for a more exact figure, if you want - he collects combatlogs.

Poked the priest with a stick to get the exact numbers. :P

We pulled Grethok at 05:04:12, and got saved to the instance at 05:20:47, according to his combatlog - so it took us 16 minutes 35 seconds. :)

was one person able to handle all the adds?

Yes. (Though some eventually got loose and ate the priest.)

Didn't kill any (to my knowledge; some might have died in the process of tanking, but if so, I didn't see them - was too busy running Razorgore around destroying eggs) beyond the original three (Grethok the Controller and his two adds), didn't kite, just stood still and tanked. (We tried kiting, and it was much worse - the warrior constantly got out of range of the heals, and mobs broke off the pack more easily, or so it seemed.)

Well, in theorycraft, you have about 90 seconds (two tank rotations) between the three of you to do 3.2 million damage.

You might be able to use the upper floors for kiting? I don't know, i forgot the limitations on the fight.

For Vael, you might try bringing a warlock. That way, you get a soulstone, and a pet that can potentially eat the BA.

I know there was talk of living through BA with last stand since BA was based on a percentage of your health, and last stand made your overall pool jump. Items with similar effects like nightmare seeds and the PvP trinkets might let non warriors do it too. Grats on Razorgore, and good luck on Vael.

You can also just not have PW:Fort on and then put in one when BA pops to increase your effective health pool.
