Go kill mobs and do quests of the appropriate level until you hit 58? Occasionally dungeon and pvp if you feel like it?

Hmmm Thanx for the such obvious response but I was looking for way to level quicker then normal.

That or a guide that would pin point the best places and best quests to pick up to level as quickly as possible...

Maybe I should add a "power" to my subject?

Or maybe you should just take his advice, and the zones are fairly linear. Unless you're talking about a grinding guide.

What do you mean, "the zones are fairly linear"? That you can actually quest through them in a straight line?

Questing well is actually a pretty intricate science.

Questing perfectly is an NP-hard problem, and hence there's no science to it at all.

To be fair 40-58 is the most evil stage of leveling - any guide that makes it pass quicker *has* to be a good thing :p

I'd argue 28-39 is the worst. Because honestly, I can rip through 40-50 in about a day or two in Tanaris and Feralas.

The main problem with 30-40 is that the zone are so big - I suspect this is deliberate to make you apprechiate your mount more :p I always find that at L40 you're still a touch wee for Tanaris and Feralas and you're sick to death of Strangelthorn Bloody Vale so you end up all over the place mopping up fag ends of quests for a couple of levels....

Actually, in Tanaris especially, the quests start around 39, but you really shouldn't start until 40. The decent number of quests you get should be enough to push you into 42, due to the fact that you spend more time killing things to GET to your quest objectives than actually doing the quests.

It might be different for some people, and it may depend on class, but I've taken every one of my characters there when they hit 40, and I seem to do good. Hunter was, obviously, the easiest to level in such a zone. :3

Which faction?

For Horde, I've come to use MrFixIt's guide as a.. supplement to my own routine. I don't like a guide that's too strict in a "do A, then B, then C" manner... I'm familiar enough with all the zones that I just need a reference to help guide me. And this works well.

IMO grinding/questing that makes you grind is the best way to go (you'll find alot of that stuff in like tanaris, searing gorge and blasted lands), but if you want a leveling guide. www.wow-pro.com has Jame's free leveling guide, which is REALLY nice

I agree the lvls of 40 to 58 are quite long no matter how much time you can dedicate to it.

1. Get your butt to Tanaris.
2. Level 40-50, if not further, in said zone. Easiest region for 40ish characters to level in.
3. Head to Un'goro (right nextdoor) or the Plaguelands.
4. Stay in your zone of choice, questing until 58.
5. ????
6. Outland! And profit.
