What, in your opinion, makes a good pvp video? world pvp only? being outnumbered? killing in RP gear? a plotline?

I think it has to be something that makes it really unique. Not just one of the above-mentioned elements but, say, being outnumbered and being 2 levels below and wearing only a wedding dress.

I think world pvp is more entertaining as well. It's funny to see 60 naked gnomes try to storm the Undercity. And succeed.

I'm Wilgje, the guildleader of Lemmings of the Light, the organiser of that run (and the camera-woman). I still get youtube spam ("someone commented on your video", I should really turn that off), but we're really flattered that someone actually is quick in linking it in a thread like this :D We really tried to give a spin to the age-old nekkid-gnome-raid idea and had a good laugh killing off our gnomes for short-cuts ;)

Ditto for any kind of hip hop, unless it is well-known and used ironically, perhaps making prominent mention of making "these foos" into "mah bitchiz".

I like the anthemic orchestral pieces.

But yeah. World PvP and novelty factor. City raids are good. Winning-despite-obvious disadvantage is good. Monster crits are good.

Some of my favourites were the old World of Roguecraft videos.

No, but it doesnt matter. They were still much more engaging than 99% of the PvP videos out there.

Actually, there is one by PALS4LIFE that is pretty funny - it mostly involves a bunch of 40-50s ganking lowbies in Horde territory by baiting them, then having a Druid root them until the cavalry (literally - they are hiding nearby and coming screaming in on their mounts) arrives.

Just watched it again myself. Pretty much don't do anything in that. Adobe Premier graphical effects - blur, "negative colours", the DRAMATIC ZOOM IN ON HIGH YELLOW CRIT, stupid captions - all are almost always overdone. Also, for the love of extinct lizards everywhere, do NOT use Dragonforce.

If a PvP video has shitty music, I usually stop watching within 10 seconds. I could care less about generic editing or boring content.

Even a crappy movie can look great with good choices of clips, music, and overall point to the video.Do that and you're golden.
