So after spending hours battling through Shadowfang Keep I get ready to turn in the Arugal quest only to discover that my inventory was full and I never picked up his head!

Always, always check your inventory.

I did the same thing in the "Dark Threat Looms" quest with the bloody Mo'grosh crystal. The hardest part to get on the whole quest, and i thought i clicked it into my inventory and didn't notice until i'd run back out to safety and a shaman and brute had taken up guard positions around the corpse. It was a fun little battle...to get two mo'grosh crystals.

I've done the same thing with Arugal's head on at least 8 characters.

Sucks every time, too.

My high level friend ran me through TWICE and I forgot to loot the head both times.... >.< Had to pug the last run and thankfully it didn't go too badly!

I just did BRD to kill Bael'Gar.
You're supposed to collect his essence once he's dead.
I forgot to.
I dragged two level 70s with me to help.
