Discuss these wonderful puppets and much more with other fans, post pictures, get opinions on names, and have fun! Also watch the community for updates to the studio's creations! 1) This is not a role-playing community. Do not hijack this community space for role-playing.

woodparents to advertize other unrelated communities, role-plays, websites, or whathaveyou. Do not use the community for political candidate promotion, or as a political forum. (Politics hurts the woodbabies' ears! Keep it out.) If you wish to link to something unrelated in your post as part of your discussion, go right ahead; just as long as it is not promotion/advertisement.
3) No insults, flaming, or stirring up trouble. I'd like to keep this community a friendly atmosphere.
4) Do feel free to write as much as you want, but make sure there is content! Do not spam the community!
5) All pictures MUST be rated PG at the highest.
6) No direct picture display! Please either provide a link only or put your pictures behind a livejournal cut for the sake of space and internet speed!
7) Do not post any images, diagrams, or detailed descriptions of the inner workings of a Woodbaby!
If you break these rules... well, to be honest, we're not going to exact vengeance upon you for breaking #6. We'll just ask you to put them behind a cut or link. ^_~ For the other rules though, first you'll get a warning. Another violation and Lancelot will bite you. We really don't want to kick anyone out and shouldn't have to, but if it becomes repetitive or excessive, expect to be banned from the group.
Don't forget the GRAND SUGGESTION OF MAGNIFICENCE!:
Generally try to keep the community on-topic. On-topic categories are things like Woodbabies and the Renaissance Faire. Off-topic posts are fine; just don't stir up drama!

Q) Can I post pictures of my Woodbaby?
A) Yes you can! Please do! Dress them up, shoot them from different angles, and surely post the pictures! Please put them behind a livejournal cut though! (And please remember that here you cannot be sure who will be seeing the pictures. Do not include a picture of yourself unless you are certain and secure about doing it.)
Q) What on earth is a Woodbaby?
A) A Woodbaby is a puppet made to sit on one's shoulder or in one's hand (specifically made by The Midsummer Knight's Dream). It is operated by a cable that turns its head in lifelike ways. Many different sizes and species are available.

Q) I don't have a Woodbaby. Can I join this community anyway?
A) Sure! We welcome all fans, even if you haven't adopted a woodbaby.

A) We are not affiliated in an official manner. We are fans. Some of us have worked at adoption centers. Some people from the TMKD studio have even joined!
Q) My Woodbaby is injured! I want to fix it myself. Does anyone know how to do it?
A) Yes! The Midsummer Knight's Dream Woodbaby Clinic is staffed with Certified Woodbaby Surgeons who can fix up your baby in a jiffy. Please do not attempt surgery yourself; carefully mail in your babies to be operated on. These are trained professionals who will take very good care of your Woodbaby. (In addition, surgeries performed at home will void your Woodbaby's warranty, and then he'll never get professional help!)
