AboutIn 1853 Japan was in the iron-grip of fear.
The securuity of Japan, and its inhabitants, were at risk.
Samurai doubted the Bakufu, and its harsh reign over the cities and people.
"Sonno-Joi" (Support the Emperor!) was becoming a popular catchphrase among citizens and Samurai.
So strong was this calling, that men left families and friends behind to aid in the beginning of a new revolution!
Kyoto was full of these brash warriors.
They had no leader, only a similar will to defend the country and people they held dear.
It was then decided that the Bakufu could use these hotheaded fighters to their advantage,and enlisted the brave young men into their ranks.
All that was required to join was a skill of the sword,a will to grow stronger, and to support Japan.
But a special 13 were chosen to serve beneath a deceitful traitor..
And the story of the Shinsengumi began.

This community is for fans of the Shinsengumi and the causes they fought and lived for.
There are no requirements other then an intrest in the blue-coated group of 13, and a little intelligence.
Open-mindedness is also revered, especially when there are so many different fanbases that are involved with this special troupe.
Anime/Manga and Game fans are especially welcome.
