AboutThis community is for many purposes.
This is a place to discuss both WLS and size acceptance, and the intersections of the two. While Size Acceptance is about accepting your body, WLS is about health. I look at HAES (Health at Ever Size) as being able to choose healthier behaviors, no matter what size you are. I look at WLS as a surgical solution to things other than weight. (Diabetes, binge eating, joint problems directly related to body mass, etc). I dont see that these are opposing viewpoints.
