Notes: This story was 3/4 finished prior to the release of HBP and remains happily, blatantly, unashamedly AU. It is probably also the filthiest smuttiest fic I have yet written. Whee! Many thanks to the magnificent odogoddess for beta-reading above and beyond the call of duty.

| Mod Post: The Hallowe'en Masque Ball Challenge |

September 1, the deadline of the Wizards' Summer Wankathon, is approaching speedily. But to keep everybody entertained, your mods have come up with a new challenge: The Hallowe'en Masque Ball. We all know about the liberating nature of costumes which disguise who we are. Why not let the wizards benefit from it?
The rules are simple: Dress any character of your choice in fancy dress and send him to a Hallowe'en party. Have Neville Longbottom attend the Hogwarts Hallowe'en feast in a Harry Potter costume, Gilderoy Lockhart the St. Mungo's Hallowe'en party in a fairy costume, or Lucius Malfoy a Death Eater revel in a pumpkin costume ('Excuse me, my Lord, I've got to go back to my son's party or my wife'll be after my blood.')... And what about wee Dudders dressed up as Knight in Shiny Armour yelling "trick or treat" at unsuspecting neighbours? Arthur Weasley going on a secret mission dressed up as a Muggle? Just don't forget that wanking's got to be involved.
The list of costumes available for this challenge is behind the cut. Wizard costumes can be pretty fanciful, as proved by Luna's lion hat and the twins' invisibility hats. Feel free to use any magical gimmicks you can come up with. There are no restrictions as to characters and locations this time.
The deadline is - you might have guessed it already - 31 October: Hallowe'en.
