I also looked on amazon.com and ebay.com, but I didn't find anything. I'm so sad! Could you recommend me a site that accepts direct debit? I don't have any other option of paying. And currently all I do is hanging around at youtube.com and listen to their songs... one song especially breaks my heart, 'Lullaby' by The Remus Lupins.
Please, any advise would be awesome! Thank you.

Just a quick announcement for something my friends and I are organizing:
November is to be officially declared (by me :-)) National Harry Potter Awareness Month. If you would like to participate, simply wear a HP related shirt (this includes the Hogwarts crest, wrock band Ts, a Mugglenet shirt, etc.) every day for the entire month of November. If you would like to be recognized as participating, take a picture of yourself wearing an HP related T in a public place once every day and email it to me at punkvegan @ gmail . com (without the spaces), and I'll start a website and post all the pictures up. Once pics start coming in, I will create the website and let everyone know what it is. My friends and I came up with this idea at the NYC Wizard Rock Festival last Sunday, and I figured it might be fun to try to get as many people involved as possible. Of course, if you'd like to participate but don't want to wear one every day, you can still send in pics of yourself and you will be included.
If you'd like to participate, please post a link to this announcement (or make one of your own) anywhere and everywhere you like - I'd like to get the word out to as many people as possible.
Thanks guys!
peace-

If anyone could help, that'd be really great! ♥
Whimsic Alley’s End of Summer Wrockin’ Minstrel Show has just become a Wrockin’ Minstrel Weekend Festival!
Whimsic Alley is excited to announce that we are adding a second day of Wizard Rock entertainment to the final weekend of summer 2008. Now witches, wizards, and Wrock fans can enjoy twice as much magical music, before they have to return to their usual muggle daily routine.
The fun begins on Saturday, August 30th at 12:00 p.m. (noon), as we start the festival off with the Punk Rock band Switchblade Kittens, rated MTV’s favorite Wizard Rock band of 2007. We follow with Wingardium Leviosa, Tonks!, and new band The Ginny Potter Revelation. Then we will finish off the afternoon with Wizard Rock fan favorites The Hermione Crookshanks Experience and Marked as His Equal.
Then, on Sunday, August 31st, beginning at 3:00 p.m., popular Wizard Rock bands The Remus Lupins and The Whomping Willows will serenade fans, both magical and muggle, with their greatest hits.
Admission for all concerts on this weekend is FREE! And wizards and muggles of all ages are invited to attend. The concerts will take place at Whimsic Alley, a magical shopping haven for wizards of distinction since 1367, which also has the largest selection of Harry Potter merchandise in the world.
Whimsic Alley is located at 2717 ½ Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica, CA. For more information, check out www.whimsicalley.com or call 310-453-2370.
I'm new to the community, and new the the wizard rock scene in general. I'd love to go to a concert, but I can't find any in my area (South Florida).
No, this isn't a post asking if there are any concerts (but if you do know of any, let me know!). Actually, I was wondering how wizard rock concerts are set up. Because I'd love for there to be a multiple band concert somewhere around here, even central Florida. I know there have been, are and/ or will be wizard rock festivals, but they're all a ways away from where I live so I have no chance of attending any.
So, I want to know if there are many wizard rock fans in Florida, or near Florida. Because if there are enough people, I'd love to try and set one up, or something. But I need to know if there is any interest in this sort of thing. I also don't know exactly how I would go about such a thing, and of course I'd need help...also, there's a conference planned in Orlando (Infinitus) in the summer of 2010, but I don't know if there will be many if any wizard rock bands there.
How long do these things take to plan? And who should I talk to if I really am serious about this? Because I was thinking that maybe there could be a festival in conjunction with the opening of the Harry Potter theme park, which if I remember correctly, is supposed to open early 2010. But, I was thinking that might be too close to Infinitus.
I'm really just throwing this out here, and you more knowledgeable people might realize it's a silly idea. But all things start as ideas, right? I just want to know what you think of this one.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and even more thanks if you reply.
There are lots of exciting things happening in Santa Monica, CA and at Whimsic Alley for the second half of the year that I can’t wait to tell you about them all at once.
August is an exciting month for Wizard Rock lovers in Southern California. On Saturday, August 16th the Santa Monica Public Library’s main branch is presenting the Los Angeles debut of The Wizard Rockumentary in its MLK Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. In addition to the film, the audience will be treated to a concert featuring The Remus Lupins, The Whomping Willows, and Switchblade Kittens. The show starts at 1:00 p.m. and admission is free. For more information contact the library at 310-458-8620 or go to www.wizardrockumentary.com.
On Saturday, August 30th join us here at the Santa Monica store for Whimsic Alley’s Wrockin’ Summer Minstrel Show. We’ve got six bands lined up, (so far), to entertain you. On the schedule, (so far), are Switchblade Kittens, Marked As His Equal, The Hermione Crookshanks Experience, Wingardium Leviosa, Tonks!, and The Ginny Potter Revelation. Start time is still To Be Determined, but we’ll probably start about noon.
Also during the weekend of the 30th and 31st of August, Whimsic Alley will be having a big sale in the store on lots of your favorite Harry Potter merchandise. In addition, this weekend will be the last weekend you can buy Nightmare Before Christmas or Tim Burton merchandise in the store. We’ll be closing out that “shop” to make room for new Harry Potter merchandise for the fall, and all Tim Burton movie merchandise will be marked down considerably!!!
Speaking of sales, we’re currently having a sale in honor of Harry’s birthday this week, and in the very near future we’ll be having a sale on all of your back to school needs.
We have a special deal running for a limited time right now for pre-orders of The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Buy $50 or more either in the store or from the website, and pre-order The Tales of Beedle the Bard for only 99 cents!!!!! Let’s see Amazon beat that! So if you were thinking of buying your Harry Potter Halloween costume early this year anyway, do it now and take advantage of this great sale on a book you know you’re going to end up buying anyway. And if you’re in the LA area, plan to pick the book up at our midnight book release party on December 3rd.
We are also planning a special pre-order deal for the 10th Anniversary Edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as well. Keep an eye on our website www.WhimsicAlley.com for more details on this upcoming special.
Coming Tuesday, September 23rd, Whimsic Alley will be hosting a book release party for the 10th Anniversary Edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Join us for Harry Potter refreshments and Wizard Rock entertainment and pick up your copy of the Special Anniversary Edition of the book. We’re going to party like it’s 1998! Keep an eye on our website or this blog for further details.
Whimsic Alley is proud to be a vendor at the 1st Annual Halloween Feast in Redondo Beach, CA on Saturday, November 1st. Check out their website for more details on this super fun Harry Potter themed event at www.hpportkey.com
There’s more Wizard Rock coming throughout the fall, and while we’re working out the details on many events, we have a great one set up for Friday, November 14th at 5pm at the store, featuring The Whomping Willows and Justin Finch-Fletchly. Once again, stay tuned to our website, or this blog for updates on our upcoming Wizard Rock concerts.
November has one other big event I want to share with you today. W.A.R.T.H.O.G.S. Whimsic Alley’s Really Terrific Half-Blood Prince Opening Gala Spectacular. On Thursday, November 20th, join us for the ultimate fan experience as we go to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in style. Details are still being worked out, but we’re planning a full night of Harry Potter themed entertainment (wizard rock to be sure), food, a traditional British double-decker bus to drive us around, and great seats for HP&HBP in IMAX 3D. Costumes will be mandatory! The Thursday, midnight party will be 16 and overs only. However, we’ll do the whole thing again on Friday evening, November 21st for families and those who couldn’t stay up late the night before because of work or school. I hope to have tickets available for sale by Labor Day. So check back and I’ll keep you posted as events and ticket prices are set.
And last, but not least, Whimsic Alley will have a midnight book release party for Tales of Beedle the Bard on Wednesday, December the 3rd. Pre-order your book from us, then join us to celebrate the newest book from the Harry Potter universe. I’m working out some fun special plans for this party too, plans that would rival the plans of any large book store.
So once again….if you want to know more about any of these events, keep checking back at our website: www.WhimsicAlley.com, we’ve got a new calendar of events linked from the main page. Or you can check our blogs: http://whimsic-alley.livejournal.com/
