This is the form that should be used -- with no exceptions -- to apply for a character in with_vertigo. When finished, please comment on this post (comments are screened). It will be judged as quickly as possible.

BASIC INFORMATION:

Name: What you would like to be called by the other players.
Age:
LJ username: You must have one to participate.
Email Address:
Y!M, MSN, and AIM screen names: State which ones you have and your screen names for each.
Current RP Commitments: State the games you're in, and either the amount of characters in each, or name the characters you play. Either way is acceptable.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:

Name: The full name of the character you're applying for. If your character doesn't have a canon last name, either make one up, or leave it as is.
Age: Again, use the age given in canon, or make one up if it's not given.
Background: Provide a short history for your character, mostly regarding things that happened prior to the start of ZP.
Writing sample: This is the part that is most important -- you must show that you can play the character correctly without straying into OOC-land. The sample should have some interaction with either a NPC or a canon character (in this instance, it's not thought of as godmodding) in order to show how you would have them interact with other people. This should be in third person, past tense.

If a character is not taken on this list, you can post here and request a two week long hold in which we will wait for your application and 'hold' all others that we get until yours comes in.

1. All logs should be written in third person, past tense.

2. This game will be done in logging format. A log is between two or more characters (and two or more players), done over messengers, email, or a forum. They are then compiled to look like a full scene, with no breaks.

When posting a log, there should be the following heading:

Subject: [log] Character 1, Character 2, etc.

Rules. We all hate them, but they help keep the game going. with_vertigo operates on a three strikes and you're out policy. Meaning, if you break the rules three times? You're out of here.

RULES

1. This RP operates on an open rating system. There will be fighting. There will be sex. All logs featuring these should be marked appropriately.

2. Don't be a dick. We all know RP can be a pit of drama, but dragging it around? Is not cool. Keep a cool head and bring the mods in if you're having problems. This is a game and if you're not having fun, you might need to hiatus to reevaluate.

3. No god-moding or autoing. If the other person hasn't written their character doing something, do not do it for them without their express permission. Also, this extends to playing a character you did not apply for. If you apped Nazna as a badass scientist, do not write her as a gun-toting assassin. Character evolution is good, but don't go overboard.

4. Activity is vital. We want this game to be fun for everyone, but if you're holding up the game, it isn't, for you or the people you're working with. If you're finding you don't have time to tag, it might be time to start managing your time better or dropping some of your characters.

5. Pay attention to mod notices and, if a mod asks you to edit your post for some reason, try to do it promptly.

Activity Specifics:

- One log is required per month for all players, except those on hiatus.
- One in-progress log is constantly required for each living character in play.

Character Specifics:

- All players can apply for up to two living characters and one character that was deceased by volume four.
- Five logs for all in-play characters is required to apply for a third character and up.
- Players may only play up to five characters at this time.
