Hello, and welcome to Wish for the Moon(wishforthemoon), a community dedicated to the pairing of Remus Lupin and Harry Potter, characters from the Harry Potter book series.

To join or post, you must be 18 or over.

This was once a community with open membership, but due to some recent revelations of people around here being underage, it is now a closed community. What does that mean? It's simple, really. While anyone may add us to their friends list and watch the community, memberships must now be approved. So, you may apply for membership, but it won't be automatic. What will happen is that we will receive a notification and we will check the user info page of your journal for your birthdate. If you don't have one listed then we will e-mail you asking you for your age. We are trusting that everyone will be honest when replying to this question. Just remember, if you are underage and are caught, then you are the one who will suffer the consequences, not us.

*Fanfiction centered around RL/HP, rated G to NC-17
*Fan Art, centered around RL/HP, rated G to NC-17
*General discussion about the pairing
*Websites for the pairing or either of the characters
*Recommendations for RL/HP fanfic and fan art

Things that are not allowed:

*Quiz results (We don't care if they are HP related. Please post them in your own journal.)
*Off topic posts, i.e. anything that's not stated in the 'things allowed' up above
*Fanfiction or fanart that doesn't pertain to RL/HP (there are other communities for that)
*Community promotions for any community not related to RL, HP, or the RL/HP pairing

This community contains slash and adult content rated NC17. If this is not your cup of tea, or you're not legally of age to read such things, move along. No flaming or trolling permitted. Any flamers or trollers will be banned and then fed to the community mascot.

Both slash and gen content is allowed. So is het, but since this is a RL/HP community, that pairing should be the main focus of your fic/art. All ratings (G through NC17) are permitted, but please put R and NC17 fics behind an LJ-cut.

Fics longer than drabbles (100 words), large images, multiple fics/images/icons etc., as well as adult content or squick, should be posted behind an LJ-cut.

When posting fic/art, please write the title in the subject line and include a header with the following information in the post itself:

Author:
Title:
Rating:
Pairing/Character(s): (if there are any besides HP/RL)
Challenge: (if applicable)
Warnings: (if applicable)
Author's/Artist's Notes: (if applicable)

Please warn for adult content in case of art.

Having your fics beta-read or proofread would be preferable, but please run a spell- or grammar check at the very least.

Challenges will be posted every other week. Feel free to cross-post challenge stories, but please include a mention of wishforthemoon. You don't have to answer the challenges, they're merely meant as an incentive. ;-)
