Sharing Artwork
I meant to share more of my fanart sooner, but not keeping up with communities and a bothersome scanner stopped me 0.0;; But enough excuses! I'll start with another Mirta one ^^ Just click the thumbnail for the fuller pic. Also sorry for the watermark, but I've had people steal my art and claim it as theirs...dumb...but what can one do?



C/C is welcome as always. Bashing is not. Thankies! oh...and I know her boots are most likely wrong XD But it was really hard to tell in the pics I had at the time and the screengrabs I had. But I think they still work ^^

EDIT - Dec 7th - I just wanted to add a big thank you to everyone who left comments!!! It's just easier than answering everyone ^^ Oh...I should also add that I don't mind if you want to use my art for various reasons (layouts/icons/etc) IF you ask permission first and of course give credit =D Once again THANK YOU!!!

Eee! So you drew that. I've had your Mirta pic faved on deviantART for a while. :) It's absolutely gorgeous and I love how you've coloured it. Big thumbs up from me. :)

That's awesome. You draw in the Winx style really well! Poor Mirta, she looks so sad.

Just a couple of brief things: It looks like her left jaw/cheek area falls a little flat in comparison with the right side. And it kinda looks like maybe her shoes should be slightly longer, unless she is supposed to have very very small feet. XD;

I noticed the shoe size as I begun colouring XDDD It's like Mirta wears a size 2 or something *lol* but at that point I was like...eh...oh well...

and I hadn't noticed the jaw/cheek area until you mentioned it and I see it. Thank you for pointing these out! I'll watch in my next few drawings =D

Ya...I think they tie up in the show, but I thought I had caught one scene where I saw loads of buckles, but I guess my mind was playing tricks with me XDDD Big Boots none-the-less ^^

I have to say this though. If you are going to share your art with the world, there comes certain risks. Just like how people will flat copy the screenshots or Winx and claim them "as their work", but the creators don't worry about that when they share it with us. A lil logo in the side, just do you know what station is (haha mostly ;D). I'm not saying art theft is not bad, oh no I hunt art thieves rabidly, but I just don't see why you want to have something so distracting and all when you so very much want to share it with us. If someone really wants to steal your art, that won't do anything. I could easily edit that out of the picture if I wanted.

I suggest hiding a signature someplace. If its not so obvious, most thieves are too stupid to tell what it is and leave it in ;D

Thanks! Actually they're just random coloured pencils I have in my collection. I have a huge collection and often mix and match names ^^

I'm with you about how people like to claim screengrabs as their own and I understand you took the time to do just that, but really it's not your show so...ya...but I guess someone could say the same about fanworks. Technically the character isn't yours so where is the right to watermark it, y'know? It's just that I linked from my art site that have original pieces and I do that to them all (and noticed most people with art sites - big names and little names alike - do the same). As you can see I put a copyright and my sig on the lower right as I do with each of my drawings, but obviously that is easily edited. What's funny is that you're the second that mention being able to edit out the large print (someone said something similiar to one of my original pieces). I have done the same actually to book covers and the likes when I want to use the picture XDDD I just surmised that seeing that may deter others from taking it because they wouldn't want to take the effort >_< But that's just me ^^ I'll have to see if I can come up with a way to hide a siggy somewhere as you suggested =D

OH yeah, but if I really want something, nothing will bar my way! I once took screens and put them altogether and edited out this big text thing, oh man, it was so worth it though. I also made it into this icon after all that, but it was originally for a BG.

Plus a pretty sig is always nice to keep on, ya know?

I think it's cute. I've always liked Mirta. Other than being an exchange student at the school, did they ever do anything more with her. (I'm guessing she probably has some social problems among the Fairies for being a Witch and all.)
