It's kind of a personal set, but I hope it might encourage someone else too. The rest of the graphics are from a wallpaper/layout set I made, featuring Liv Tyler. :)

First, I would like to thank autumnjoy, a dear, talented friend, for welcoming me aboard! I'm really excited to be here. I mainly make icons from Lord of the Rings, period costume dramas, and old artwork, like this post. Last weekend, I had a rather insane burst of inspiration and made 200 icons from Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema's paintings, so I've decided to split them up into four posts and post one a week.

1. Download and unzip the zip file.

2. Upload all the images to an image hosting site of your choice. I recommend Photobucket (and Flock makes it even simpler.) DON'T CHANGE ANY OF THE FILE NAMES.

3. Now go to the Admin Console and in the text box enter: moodtheme_create "Doctor Who Season 2" "Doctor Who Season 2" and press 'Execute.'

4. Copy down the mood theme ID that this will produce.

5. Open adminconsolecodes.txt, which is included in the zip file. Replace every instance of 12345 in this text file with the mood theme ID. (Your text editor probably has a replace function to make this super-easy.) Also replace the http://www.hosting.com/ url with the url to the folder where you have uploaded the image files.

6. Now copy and paste your edited version of adminconsolecodes.txt into the Admin Console and 'press 'Execute.' This should take you to a page with your accepted codes.

7. Go to the Customize page. If you're using s2, go to the "Customize Selected Theme" button on the bottom right of the page. Use the drop-down menu under 'Mood Themes' to switch to 'Doctor Who Season 2.' If you're using s1, just scroll down until you find the 'Mood Themes' section and use the drop-down menu to switch your theme. Save your changes.

Better installation instructions (including a work-around for Basic Account users) by crackified are HERE; mine are just a shortened, slightly modified version of hers.

Alternately, you can use the Custom Mood Theme Editor, but the admin console way is easier. :)

( Christmas is a time of peace and thanksgiving and... what am I on about, my Christmases are always like this. )

I capped the Doctor Who Christmas special for my own icon-making purposes and then decided to post them in case someone could make use of them. Because I did initially cap it for myself, I mostly just capped what I thought would make good icons. Which means that every single little scene isn't in here. Most of them are, and I think the distribution is pretty good, but I'm just giving you fair warning. Which also means there's an excess of the Doctor (but really, who's going to complain about that?) and a lot of Astrid too. Not a lot in the way of secondary characters at all.

And I should proably say that these are not hi-res screencaps. They measure 640x352 pixels, just capped off VLC player. No good for wallpapers, probably, but they clean up just fine for icons. :)

This is the first tv episode or movie that I've ever capped and posted, so if you download them, please just leave me a comment and let me know. Just so I can judge if it's something I should think about doing more of in the future.

I don't really care about giving credit if you do use these for anything. A link back would be nice, but like I said, I was doing this for myself originally anyway, and if someone else can use them too, then so much the better. :)
