Anyway! I found a book on Japanese grammar. I couldn't find the one on Korean grammar that I wanted, but whatevs. Still interesting! I also found a book on Viet grammar that I checked out for fun. But it's much too short to really use.

Work is a bitch. But some of our new people are really cool. :Dv A+!

I still have yet to buy my yoga mat. I'm contemplating going now, since Elephant Pharmacy doesn't close until 11:00. But I'm sooooo tired. ;~; And I should do laundry. I'm running out of clothes!

Rawr. Anyway.

Harry Potter progress is good. I'm almost done. Well over 3/4 of the book, I believe. ;_; Have yet to get to sad events with Snape, though. u_u; I think I may cry, when I get to it. All this anticipation is killing me. And Monica tells me that all the good things about him aren't revealed until after his death. ;^; Which means I have to endure that first! No~~~~~

... Can you tell I get really involved in my reading? 8D

I'm making this post from my friend's hot spot cafe. The connection is not really good (yet), but I love the place. I'm currently sitting at the second floor, in which the interior design is not that special. I totally love the first floor's setting tho. The concept of the place is dojo (you know, martial art Japanese training room). There are these booths with wooden floor and fusuma(paper and wood door?)-like separators. Totally lovely :3

Anyway, I had a chat with kumaguro4303 on Yahoo! yesterday. We were talking about Hae (obviously, we are biased like that) and KiHae (again, our first and foremost SuJu OTP)and Kibum.

Now, I'm quite aware that there is an unpleasant spread of Kibum hate in the fandom lately. I'm aware, but that doesn't mean I have to care about it, right? But as you can see, it's getting worse lately, to the point of ridiculous. Honestly, can't those people leave Kibum alone? It's true that Kibum doesn't have many activities with Super Junior lately (yes, I am unhappy about that too), but that doesn't mean he doesn't do anything for Super Junior. People keeps going on and on about how Kibum doesn't have any talent. Hello? We are talking about Asian boybands here. Most fans of Asian boybands wouldn't even care whether their idols have talents or not. I've seen less talent in an idol, for real.

I was baited to the fandom by Kibum and EHB. And I can still see people flailing and squeeing over him (including me, yes). And I believe there are still many many fans who are going to be baited by that blinding smile. So suck it up, haters. If you can't love, then leave the fandom.

I get really weird regarding politics sometimes, because I'll not care, get really into it!, go back to not caring, and then get pulled into it again. I didn't really watch any of the Democratic convention coverage, although I did just see a montage and now kind of want to find the speeches because the bits I heard sounded really, really good. I will probably watch more Republican stuff, but only because it's happening here, it's going to utterly fuck up the transportation of the cities for the same week school starts (hahaha) so I have to be a bit more aware, and to test my little theory that Democrats are funnier/have a better sense of humor.

I finally realized what, exactly, makes things like politics and religion so hard to discuss with people who don't agree. It's probably very obvious, but I'm not all that quick. They are a part of debate that has both sides convinced that if the other side just does not UNDERSTAND, and that making them understand will obviously swing them over. Which it won't, because often the other side does understand. They just don't agree. Explaining it more won't make them agree, it'll piss them off.

This is Taffy. I bought her on a school trip to a park in elementary school, along with lots and lots of stick candy. ♥ They sold flower bulbs and things like that in a fake-colonial general store. (There are some real buildings from colonial times somewhere around here - does Princeton count? can we call it a "colonial-era building" if it's been renovated and is still used? is Princeton close enough to be "around here"? - but I knew that general store was fake. Actually, it might have been real and I just thought it was fake because I was a skeptical little kid, but, hey, it was a rip-off either way.)

As a child, I was convinced that Taffy needed washing. And clothes. I'm surprised she doesn't smell from her stuffing growing mold or something from the damp. I'm also surprised I couldn't come up with anything better than cloaks and bonnets. Clearly, this was before virtual pets all started getting T-shirts and pants. And before I got, er, "creative".

(Actually, that's not true. I used to pretend I was a pregnant Flareon. It doesn't get much more weird + "creative" than that, folks. Especially since I vastly prefer Jolteon.)

As a side note, in addition to being convinced that my Barbies needed magical me to make them clothes, the store-bought variety being clearly inferior, I was also convinced that they needed paper towel picnic blankets (in addition to the cloth ones). And that I needed to wash them (both kinds of picnic blanket).

Why is everyone so sad? :(


I made dumplings yesterday. ♥ I should say we. chuchama would like this story. I was watching random youtube videos, talking to a friend, dumplings the furthest thing from my mind, and thirty minutes later, we were making dumplings. They were gross but that's okay. (They were gross because he cannot make dumplings. Neither can I, but he insists he know how. ♥)

And we "played" "if we lived together". I know playing imaginary house (always in private, though) like that gives me no room to complain when people accuse us of dating, but I can't stop!

Need to find a language to focus on for Ling 122. There's what looks to be a great grammar on Korean, but it's checked out. :( I'm going to see if I can find this other book and see if it's any good. If worse comes to worse, I may actually do Japanese. I doubt there's much by way of Vietnamese - there never is. Even my IPA book from Ling 110 didn't have the Viet IPA in it.

Oh well. No yoga mat yet - no time. But I've got school supplies and ENVELOPES. Yey. I can send out important papers and things now. 8D Still need to get my passport pictures taken, though, before I go to the post office. I have no idea when I'm going to find time to do this.

Talking about grammar books...

Okay, so my Dad is in need of some help... over a week ago he said something to a client that maybe shouldn't have been said... something like "You are a pain in the ass".  He works in sercuirty at Elywn Inc.  The reason why he said that was because this guy asked for my Dad to give him a ride to the other end of the campus (it was raining), and so he said that to this guy... or suppose to have said it, don't really know if it was really done or not. 

And well, it's been a full week now since he's been back to work, Wedenesday he was called for a interview to find out what was said and what happen... and he was told today that he would know if he's fired or not.  I don't know if this has been done before.  But no one has yet to call to tell him if he's fired or not. 

Does anyone work in Human Resources and if so what would happen?  He's been suspended for 3 days before for something stupid (and I know he's not the only one that's happen to). 

The kicker to this now is my Dad has been called up for Training with the National Gaurd and he'll be away for a month, and today he had to go up to his unit for formation by 2pm.  He now just left, and without word as to if he'll have a job to come home to.

Does anyone anyone at all have any idea what'll happen??  Is he going to loose his job?  

He spoke with his boss before he left today, and was told he didn't know anything.  So he called the guy that interviewed him and left a message... do they honestly think a family can sit and wait a WHOLE month to find out when he comes back that he lost his job?  Do they honestly think that it's good forum to do this to someone?  

If they are going to fire him, they should have done this well before now, not wait!  

Please if anyone has any idea, or anything they can tell me, please let me know. I have no idea what I'm going to do at this point, and I'll be honest I'm scared. 

And lastly can anyone please say a few prayers and ask if he can keep his job, and learn from this mistake?  Please...???

Sorry to rant, but I don't know what else to do, I can't wait anymore... and I know my Mom can't.

This is just one more thing among the list of things that comes easy to Choi ShiWon. Forget charisma and sex appeal, a pout from his lips and not even HeeChul can resist him. It's no wonder that DongHae falls so easily, eager to comfort and fix what's wrong?

"Hyung~ Did someone yell at you? Did you get hurt? What's wrong~?"

DongHae is hovering, face scrunched up with concern, the area between his eyes deeply wrinkled. ShiWon thinks the younger boy's aegyo surpasses even his own, but he's most likely unaware and there is no calculated effort behind it. No matter, because right now what's important are his personal needs.

"It's so hot~" he whines. "Schedule was so long today, I'm exhausted." DongHae's reaction is exactly as he expects it to be.

"You are? Do you want some water? An otter pop? Maybe I should just buy us some ice cream. I think I should go do that, and we can ask HeeChul hyung to share, too."

Before ShiWon can say yes or no either way, DongHae is rushing out the door, calling out for HeeChul at the top of his lungs.

ShiWon makes a note to treat him to something later on, whenever his father decides to release the funds in his bank account again.

Sorry is not a word that exist in Kim HeeChul's vocabulary. Apologizing means admitting you're wrong, that you've done something to regret, and he wants to live a life without regrets.

That's why it takes years for him to finally post an entry detailing exactly how he and DongHae tricked YunHo into burning his brand new leather jacket (which turned out to be authentic after all). And he words every line carefully, as if merely weaving an amusing story. But when YunHo text messages him a couple nights later, having finally caught up on his cyworld entries, he knows the younger boy has read it and understood perfectly.

Hyung, let's go out for hamburgers tonight~

YunHo doesn't like to dwell on the past, either.

But now, now something that has happened that he's certain he'll never forget. It isn't just the anti-fan, isn't just his rage at her for daring to do something so stupid, so potentially harmful to one of his closest friends... It's his anger and frustration at himself, for being unable to be there for YunHo when he needs him the most.

I'm sorry, he types, listing off only half true reasons as to why. There, he can't hurt himself.

His managers, he knows, will ask him to take this post down as soon as they see it up. But all he needs is a little time, for one person to see it.

YunHo is lucky, HeeChul thinks - he forgives and forgets so easily, is someone who truly lives without regrets.
