This is Chrysti hot rodding. On the left of the picture, on the front of a file drawer you can see a red thing. I don't know what it is, but it's there. )

This one is very odd to me. I have never seen a light reflection do this. It's not completely round, either. Top left. )

This one was by John's face. It's the least likely of the ones I caught, but as it is in the area, I thought it would be good to show. )

I'll leave these two out of a cut. The first one is Chrysti doing ehr thing while Greg did a tour for those who wanted one. Look on the edge of the painting left of Chrysti's shoulder.

Now look at the close-up and compare the shape with the one on Snowy. This is the one I gibbled a bit for gamma.

Seems like the bathroom was a spooky kind of place for some people. I find it gives an aura of strangeness when I'm in there, but the hall outside doesn't seem to bother me. I think, in my case, it might be more of an "expectancy" thing than anything else, although I do find myself hoping that if anyone is going to show themselves, it should be after I'm done and have my jeans zipped up. It's a rather close, and echo-y room, too, so I'm sure that adds to it.
I finally got my pictures off my laptop harddrive. All I got were a few orbs. I think most are just dust etc, but I don't know for sure, so I'm going to show some of them to y'all. One, in particular, is interesting (ok 2) because they are the same "type of orb" that we caught last year in the research room (where all these are taken). It looks like a cell structure, or sun inside the circle of the orb. I'll try to find the one from last year to show you. I have cropped and reduced the pictures, and in one case I gibbled with the gamma a bit to help it show up. Full sizes available on request if you need to examine more closely.

I won't say who this little guy is, but he really enjoyed playing with my hamster, Buffy.

This is the first "Sunshine" orb I am talking about. Snowy was talking to Chrysti, and this thing is there.

I'll put the rest under lj cuts

Hello All

I'm known as Onehicchic or DOnna. This is my 3rd year at the Willard. I'm the one sitting in the chair with the mist behind my head on the picture on the Library page. That year I had felt like someone was playing with my hair. Even I had time where I could feel like someone walked past me. Ya know that feeling of the hair on your arms standing up and it tickles. Yep,that was it. I usually just get feelings. Like a presence. I always feel calm and safe in the Childrens Room. For some reason the Hall way and the bathrooms always freak me out. Just a eerie feeling. I wondered if anyone else felt this way? Oh I also got cold spots too in the research room.

Hi all,
We have our first Watcher! [info]ms_selfdestrukt who is from Evansville. Ms, if you would like to discuss the Library, or things we say in here, I suggest going to The MESAProject and joining there. The MESA team was our lead team this year and they have a fascinating approach to investigations.

I am taking a few minutes out of what I am SUPPOSED to be doing to write a bit about my experiences this year at the Overnight. I will combine this with snuggling my guinea pig, Honey, who looks like a blonde Elvis.... edit... and then he peed on me. Guinea pigs have tiny bladders. *sigh*

Just after our arrival up on the third floor, John came up with my digital recorder with what may be an EVP. We were happy and crowded around listening. I don't remember how much later this next event happened, but the thing itself sticks out in my mind. I turned to look at the back corner where I thought the press were doing a little gig, and saw a very dark streak go from the centre of my vision up and to the right, so over the back glassed over table where Chrysti was doing a lot of hot-rodding up and across toward the windows to my right (right as facing the back of the room). It was an obvious thing to me, but a new experience, so I said "Did I just see what I think I saw?" Tonya confirmed that she had seen orbs, and that a "ghost" was there in the back corner. I went over to that corner because it looked a lot more fun than where I was standing. I don't recall who was hot-rodding at the time. I remember Tony, the press, and Chrysti there, and I think Snowy was there at that point.
Chrysti had the rods at the time, or very soon after my arrival in the back. The beginning of that for us was a bit frayed because we were all asking the "ghost" - hereafter known as BillyP to distinguish between our own beloved Billy - questions. Tonya pointed out that only Chrysti should asked the questions, so we fed her some questions to ask, while many of us fired camera shots from all around her. I have yet to have a chance to see if any of the pics I took will produce anything, as they are on my laptop, and it's fried (have I mentioned that yet? have I mentioned that yet TODAY?). I have about 5 more weeks to wait and HOPE that they are able to retrieve allo my stuff. I believe the press were taking happy snaps, but I remember givi9ng my camera to one guy and walking away because what Chrysti was getting as answers was so close to what Linda got last year that I was concerned I might be influencing her (being that I was in the table tapping room, and knew the outcome personally). Apparently Little BillyP could have cared less, as he just kept right on answering.
Can any of you verify my memory at this point? Do any of you ahve pictures pertaining to this time of the night?

I need to go and work again. Exam week starts tomorrow!!! EEEK

.... I keep writing "ok"... Here's the thing:
*Chrysti found the grave of a 6 year old Peter William Patterson near Kentucky. Died 1896.
*Linda got the name Peter William (at first we thought full name, but later she said she wasn't so sure "William" wasn't a middle name rather than a last name)in the table tapping.
*Chrysti and Tonya and Tina got varying information supporting the age and year of death. The name Billy was given by Tonya.
*In 2004 Peter gave his father's name as Peter as well. If you have two people of the same name in a family, does it not make sense to call one Peter, and the other a name different from Peter. As a genealogist, I know this happens. Pet names or shortened forms are given.
*Here is what I wrote about Linda's first meeting with Peter/Billy:
A Sensitive from Michigan (Linda S - see her in a pic below)was being interviewed, and asked to talk about what she experiences in these situations. As she was talking, the Medium was overcome with emotion and said that there was a little boy in the room, about 6 years old, blond, in pain - considerable pain - and that he was hurt "here" (she held her hand over her stomach). She seemed to feel him strongly. She was taken from the room, very teary and shaken.

I have more, but given I'm in ZMOBIE mode (that's a Kingdom of Loathing thing and I fear only Chris will appreciate the referece) you must learn to 'ooh' and 'aaahhh' on your own time.

Last night I dreamed I was in Victorian clothing at a celebration. Even the servanst were given a "day off" and were wearing a lot of white. I was wearing an opalescent sapphire blue gown, and I looked FABULOUS.

I SO need to change the mood smileys.. they're not nearly ghastly enough!
We have 4 in the group so far: Belinda, Steve, Me, and Angel.
I thought I would share this message sent to me by Tim. It is amusing because he is the LAST one (ok, second last if Greg is involved) who would actually come up with this rather non-scientific thing (edited for scientific quality):

Hi Maer,
We had a great time, too. It was a little too hectic this year. Next year I am planning things differently. Billy Miller's group, the Southern Indiana Paranormal Investigators, is the host group. It should be a lot like this year!
I want to talk about several experiences I had this year, one was very strange, indeed:
While I was watching the dowsing on the third floor, Belinda Ache was standing almost next to me, I had what felt like a small child go through, or pull on my arm! I have never experienced that before. I told Billy and Belinda this. It felt like a very humid almost wet kind of feeling, and it literally pulled on my arm!
I also saw something on the stairs when I went up them after getting the adhesive electrodes out of my car. It looked like a huge, skinny, elaborate candlestick, white in color.
[***] I only saw it for a few seconds.
Those are my experiences so far. I think the MESA system worked well. We definitely had some good results with the galvanic skin response sensor, and the magnetic fields were enough to cause some haunt type phenomena.

[***]I would like to point out, at this point.. a.. umm... pointed thing.....
Please note this picture taken by Angel and Chris. It could be light bounce, but I have never seen light bounce do this, so I am interested in hearing from those in the know. I have reduced and cropped the original image. Those of you who would like me to forward the original can comment here, or email me at the gmail address.

Another photo from Angel and Chris shows something interesting as well. Note the circled area above Tonya. At first I thought it was just one of those things that are... well.. things, perhaps not pointed... but then I looked closer and noted that it does not bend at the ceiling the way a.. umm.. thing.. would. This leads me to wonder what it is. Any thoughts?

Again, I have reduced and cropped this image. If you want the original, comment, or email me.

I have two more "orb" pictures from Angel and Chris. The first one appears to have irregularly shaped orbs. The second appears to have, well, an orb. You know what? If McAfee doesn't stop spamming me re: web updates, I'm gonna nail someone's hin'y to a WALL! I will put these two orb pictures under an "lj cut". Again, they are cropped etc... you know the drill.

Two Kinda Orby Pics From Angel and Chris )

Ok, so.. discussion time!
My next entry will focus on something from Chrysti - she's my Guardian Angel From Grand Rapids - and some of my experiences.
PLEASE NOTE:
If, like me, you did NOT fill out a detailed form for Belinda, Wendy, and Tonya, or a half-assed form for Tim, Mike, and Dave (although I did leave my half-assed one at the library) PLEASE do make sure you tell ALL your adventures in the library in here. I believe the women are also looking for any previous library experiences as well.

On a final note, I officially named a hamster after Billy today. He is the male version of the black and white hamster "Sammi" who was with me in Evansville. Sammi has been adopted by Chrysti, and I'm so thrilled!
Am I the only one who could go for a nice vodka-and-something?

I need a Maer Icon Pic!

First Entry

Hi Everyone,
This is the first entry to explain what I hope to accomplish here.
I think most, or all, of us are already members of The MESA Project. If you aren't, you should be - FOR SHAME! There are good things in abundance going on over there including recaps of investigations, explanations of various forms of phenomena, and many other things you will lovbe reading about. MESA has a great message board, but it's for a variety of things, and I wanted a place where those of us who have stayed overnight at The Willard Library could share our experiences and questions where all of us would see it and share. This way we can get things to mesh and converge, and hopefully a story will come from it. In this place some of us can upload pictures as well, it depends on your photo sharing site. I believe photobucket is free, and will allow you to share to here. Please note that until you become a part of this community, you cannot post questions, entries, or comments. I want to allow all people to read it, but the idea is to allow those of us who spent the night to let the others know what we experienced. That can get lost if others outside the group are commenting as well.
I'll look for a good photo to put up as an icon. I encourage you all to use a photo of yourselves, or something fun and ghostly. Remember that when you post to the group make sure that you are posting to "willardlibrary" which is an option dropdown beside "update journal".
If you make an entry that you do not want public, please make sure to switch the option to "friends only" this will mean that everyone who makes a journal here will need to "friend" the others of us who are with this community. To that end I urge those of us who already HAVE a journal here to make a new persona, as I have, so that personal journals do not get mixed with the Library stuff.
I really hope this thing will take off. We didn't all get a chance to discuss what we experienced, and I know there was a lot going on in various parts of the library.
My next entry will deal with some of the things I saw and experienced.

As a final note:
If anyone has heard from Billy, will you please let us know through my new email for here (or post here)(willard.library at gmail dot com)? We are worried sick about him.

Maer
